I cannot fault the Hotel Rene, the staff are amazing, drinks are a good price, food by the pool was nice and location amazing with unbelievable views. We were 3 friends staying in a room and was worried the 3rd bed would be a sofa bed and uncomfortable but it wasn’t, they bought in another single bed which was super comfy and the room was spacious enough for the 3 of us. The walk to and from Skiathos main strip is about a 10minute walk and is uphill on the way home but we didn’t mind this at all, especially for the views we had. We went early July and never had trouble getting 3 sunbeds together and hotel didn’t seem too busy. Would definitely stay again!

Brilliant views, great room, good location. Well supplied, buy water there rather than the supermarket (similar price and saves the carrying ). Great pool. Easy walk to town and the beach. All the team are extremely helpful, smiling and happy. Good bathroom which is unusual in a lot of Greece hotels.

You read it’s a two star, it’s better than that. It doesn’t have all the amenities to be a five star, but you know that before you go. Terraces are larger than balconies depends what you prefer.

Wonderful family run hotel. Highly recommend. Exceeded our expectations. Big rooms, comfy beds, beautiful pool, amazing view and very clean. All staff so helpful and friendly. Lovely pool side bar. 8 min walk to centre of beautiful Skiathos town via path above bus stop 4 or less than 5 min down to megali ammos beach. Easy bus trip to all other beaches. We travelled as group of 8 (two families with young adults) and we really want to return.

Hotel rooms very spacious and always kept clean. Fresh bedding and towels regularly. Breakfast had a good variety of food options. Situated perfectly for stunning views and not to far away from the town. Pool area quiet and very clean sun beds very comfortable Bus stop 4 Just down the hill and gets you to other areas of the island - €2 or €3 euros depending on where you are going.

Only downside was the walk back upto the hotel - uphill Was ok for us as a family but not good for people with mobility problems. There is steps upto hotel if prefer than a hill.

The room was better than we expected for the price. The pool area was lovely & loungers comfortable. There was a book swap table which is always a plus for me 😊. The owners were friendly. The rooms were cleaned, beds made & towels changed daily which was also a pleasant surprise given the cost of our stay in comparison to the surrounding hotels we'd looked at.

The hill is a killer and we are relatively fit....although it helped work off the cocktails on the bright side 😊

The warm, welcoming and exceptionally helpful staff, especially Thassos and Mod. The views, the pool, the wonderful breakfast and the Thai menu offered alongside basic European fare.

The location atop a long steep hill was difficult for us older guests; we’re in our seventies and had trouble getting back to the hotel on foot at the end of a busy day swimming and strolling through town. But Thassos helped arrange a reliable but somewhat pricey taxi service that we could call directly.

The rooms and whole hotel are clean and comfortable. The views are outstanding. The Staff are friendly and very helpful.😊 We had a lovely stay here and will certainly be going back. Thank you.

The only thing that may put people off is it up a hill. There are steps just down from the hotel that are much easier then having to walk up the hill. You don't get the amazing view without being up a hill so it's worth it. 😍

A beautiful aspect with a wonderful view, spotlessly clean facilities, indoor and out and fabulously attentive staff. The opportunity to use towels for the beach and pool at a very small fee (1 euro for 2-3 days) was brilliant. A large pool, plenty of beds, fresh and diverse choice offered for breakfast. Great position for local shops, bus stop 4 and local beaches. Space for parking our car rental. Reasonably priced food and drinks available. Bar always open with access for late hours too, (with payment made the following morning).

We enjoyed the steep walk down into Skiathos town and back again each day. For some less fit or incapacitated this might make the position a challenge without a car.

The hotel is very well run and very friendly staff, very clean, the rooms are very large as too are the balcony's, the views are magnificent, although a steep hill to climb to it, which I did without too much bother although awaiting a new knee so not a killer as it's quite short. The pool is very clean and of a good size considering the hotel is not large. All in all a great location and a lovely hotel.

The breakfast whilst offered a good selection was not always replenished in time and could have been a lot warmer. There is a self service fridge for beers and individual wine bottles plus a freezer offering ice creams, but no bar at night, although there are so many to choose from just a short walk into town, plus the hotel next door has a bar.

The hotel is located in a beautiful location. I appreciated the possibility of free parking, there was always a free space. I also welcomed the entrance to the room directly from the terrace, where there was a beautiful view of the sea. There was a bar, a clean pool and friendly service all day. On the day of departure, we were provided with a room for luggage and a shower.
