We ended up being upgraded to Skiathos Avaton villa and suites which was amazing and just up from the Avaton hotel. The room was lovely with its own jacuzzi/pool and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bartender made amazing mojitos. We ate in the Avaton hotel in both the bistro and restaurant and both were lovely, again with staff that were attentive and friendly. The hotel was fairly close to the town, a short walk away. However some of the roads didn’t have paths which was a little dangerous, but nothing major. The hotel is also close to the beach. The suites and villas are nestled on the side of a hill which make for lovely surroundings.

The hill was pretty steep for the suits & villas but they did provide a buggy transport which was helpful and easy to arrange.

Great & lovely peaceful location. Easy walk to beach and town as well as bus stop. Staff very helpful/friendly; had a warm traditional family feel about the place. We appreciated the bottle of wine in our room on arrival :) Thank you. Restaurant dining was excellent, as was breakfast. Philian transfers were reasonable and on time. Rooms & public areas very clean. Pool area really nice with super comfy loungers. We had a couple of cool evenings but restaurant had gas burners to keep clients cozy. Represented good value for money :)

If you’re seeking a peaceful retreat with personalized service & a homey feel, then Avaton should be your first choice! First of all, the staff went above & beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Our room was a bit small (we knew it ofc when we booked it) but it was cozy and perfectly clean & the bed was huge & so comfortable! The hotel’s location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area! (Only 15’ walk away from town & close to the bust stop). The Black Pepper Restaurant was definitely the highlight of our stay ! Amazing food & lovely atmosphere! Overall everything was amazing & thank you for your great hospitality!

I stayed recently at the skiathos avaton hotel, but what can I say? It was marvellous from start to finish. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and attentive, starting my check in with the lovely Nell and Maria at the reception they could not have done more for me! I’d also like to mention Stella who was always around with a smile willing to help out with anything. I am a solo traveller and sometimes this can be difficult but everyone at this hotel made me feel as if I was very welcome and at home: there is also Alex who works in the night- a very sweet boy. All the restaurant staff could not have been more pleasant. I ate my evening meal at the Black Pepper restaurant that is within the hotel- also top notch cuisine! The hotel is immaculately clean and well taken care of. My room was pristinely spotless with excellent facilities such as my own coffee and tea making station and water was put in my fridge upon arrival! The pool was just right- clean and the beds always available around and some of the comfiest I’ve ever seen. It’s the smallest details that really make the hotel stand out from any other hotel I’ve stayed. The attention to their guests is excellent, they go above and beyond in pursuit of guests well being and this is what I like to see. I plan on coming back to skiathos and the Skiathos Avaton Hotel is the only hotel on my agenda. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Absolutely nothing bad to say!

From start to finish, we had the most amazing time. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home! Elias (the manager) outdid himself, always stopping to have a chat and hands-on help whenever something needed to be done and always with a smile on his face. Seriana and George were incredible too, always making time for a little chat, advice on where to find things in town, and making us feel so welcome! While ALL the staff were friendly, these three stood out as exceptional for us. The pool area was stunning with soft music in the background, making for a serene place to soak in the sun. Close by to shops and the beach and only a 15 minute walk into town it was so easy to explore by foot. Will definitely be back!

Nothing. Everything was absolutely perfect.

My stay here was exceptional, everything was of a high standard, all my needs met from start to finish. Staff are beyond comparison. Rooms immaculately cleaned everyday. Restaurant always accessible and food exquisite. Pool always clean and plenty of sun beds available- including Bali beds! Towels, soaps, shampoos, tea and coffee, iron, kettle and plenty of other facilities provided by this hotel make it a 5 * recommendation for me.

Excellent stay! The property had made all the arrangements necessary for us to feel welcomed. The staff was friendly and helped us with our questions. The room we booked was not available, so we received a free room upgrade for 2 nights. The staff made all the necessary moves and even offered us free cocktails at their restaurant. On the day we checked out, we had an early flight so we missed breakfast time. But the manager had arranged for us to have a take-away breakfast that included some brioches and pastries along with a 'Safe Trip' message attached to it. This was really nice and excellent attention to details on their side. We'd definitely come back here again next year :)

The lush and peaceful environment a stones throw from beach. Breakfast wonderful which included nicely good cooked English breakfast choices. Cappucino free to 11 am was icing on the cake. Great value and exceptionally friendly service. Lovely welcoming Al fresco bar was a. Place to start and finish the day . Hotel organised taxi back to airport for 15 euros .. took 20 mins ish wonderful 2 night break ….

Our bedroom was a little dark .. but a very minor point !

Breakfast was very good, plenty of selection and well presented. Our room was very large with comfortable bed. Staff were excellent and location good.

The property would benefit from a Gym, plus some organised pool activities such as Aqua Aerobics. This would encourage more people to meet and socialise giving more life to the Bar. Decor needs an update , blind not working well , torn curtain. A coat of badly applied paint does not suffice.

We booked the king suite with the deck and hot tub. It was plenty big enough for our family of four and the deck was a great feature for star gazing. The breakfast was excellent, the best we had at our hotels in Greece. We had a couple of delicious dinners at the restaurant and all of the staff were welcoming and helpful. The pool area was relaxing and clean. We also had a great lunch and dinner at a restaurant affiliated with the hotel, which was across the street and down by the beach with a view of the sea. The hotel picked us up at the ferry and arranged for our taxi to the airport. We highly recommend this hotel!

We liked that the hotel was a 15 minute walk from town, though there are not a lot of sidewalks and there is a lot of traffic so you must be careful. The walk was no problem for our older kids, but it would be challenging with little kids/a stroller.
