This was my fourth stay in Kamari and Amara Suites is by far the best place we have stayed. From the moment we arrived and received a warm welcome from the owner, Dimitrios, we knew we were in the right place for a lovely relaxing break and felt part of his family right away. The whole place was immaculate. The rooms are well thought out and cleaned daily to an exceptionally high standard. The hot tub is a nice touch. The pool, bar areas, food and drinks are fantastic. Particularly breakfast by the pool, which was different every day. After a dust storm from the Sahara covered the whole island in an orange dust, the whole family staff team worked tirelessly to clean and get the place back to its best. Dimitrios is an amazing host who goes above and beyond to make your holiday extra special and with the help of his wife & talented chef, his son and other family members, you really couldn’t find a better place to stay in Paradise. We cannot wait to return

Our stay at Amara Suites Santorini was excellent. Demetrius and his family made us feel welcome and part of their family. Their hospitality was exceptional, and their personal touch made all the difference. The breakfasts served by the pool each morning were a highlight. Our room was immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, as was the entire complex, with detail that provided a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and relaxing ambience. We particularly enjoyed the balcony whirlpool tub, which was a great way to end the day. The location is also ideal, just a short walk to Kamari Beach, many restaurants and shops, and a half-hour drive to Oia. Amara Suites Santorini is a rare find and provides exceptional value for money. It offers luxury, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

It was perfect

A truly special and magical place. Exceptional hospitality from Dimitrios and family, creating a calm and relaxing environment. Our suite was lovely and comfortable, also great pool area. Food was fabulous, especially breakfast and the greek yoghurt was amazing! A great location, just a short walk to the beach, close to supermarket, cafes, bars and restaurants. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and making us feel at home away from home. For anyone thinking about visiting Santorini, I highly recommend Amara Suites, and I can't wait to return.

Having to go home

Everything about this property was beautiful. The rooms, the breakfasts, the hospitality, the pool area and the area of Kamari. I would go as far as to say this was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in & the friendliness shown to us by Dimitris, George & family was second to none. We were a large group of friends and the family went out of their way to serve us amazing breakfasts every morning (way more than we could eat), drive us to all of our day and night excursions & generally treat us like family at every moment. Also the bar serves really quality alcoholic drinks which was really important to us. Dimitris is a character and kept us laughing for the whole 5 days. We learned about his family, including his grandmother Amara who the hotel is named after. Every single one of our group of 9 has said they will be visiting Santorini again and that there is nowhere else they would stay than Amara suites. Thank you for the most wonderful holiday!

This family run hotel has all you need & much more. Got a call before we left Ireland to say they would send a car for our collection at the airport. We were checked in by Dimitri (the owner), got a complimentary room upgrade (our own outdoor heated hot tub and balcony). Arrived after 10pm & Dimitri’s wife Eleni stayed up to cook us a home-cooked meal. The standard was set. The food,,,, AMAZING. Everything so fresh, tasty & cooked to perfection. They are particularly proud of their homemade Greek yogurt which is made fresh each day by Eleni she pours natural Greek honey over it & scatters crunchy walnuts on top. This is served with the sweetest freshly squeezed orange juice & a wonderful decent coffee. The cooked breakfast follows and well I’ll let the pictures do the talking there. I had been in Marbella the week before, stayed in a 5* on the beach. The food was so disappointing. I didn’t eat for the week & couldn’t bring myself to drink the cheap coffee, it ruined my stay, so you can imagine my complete happiness when I travel to Santorini the following week and I see that there are still people in the world that love good food. Eleni herself has 30 years experience as head chef & you can tell. If it’s good food that makes you happy then you have to stay here. Greek Cuisine is currently the best in the world so no better time to visit. My other comfort excluding hotel furnishings was in the hygiene & immaculate cleanliness. Every single thing spotless. Such comfort of mind. Always a good sign when you can look into an open plan kitchen& see your food being cooked. All our daily plans were actioned by Dimitri, he was like our personal tour operator. He organised a sunset boat trip with a BBQ & drinks, a buggy to tour the Island & he had his driver to hand for any journeys we took to Fira & Oia.

Amara Suites are absolutely beautiful. The design is modern and classy with spacious well thought out rooms and communal areas. We spent 3 nights at Amara suites and it was an absolute dream. Demetrious and his wonderful family have a winning formula and have a unique way of making all of their guests feel like family. His wonderful wife cooks all of the food and it is clear to see how much love goes into making each delicious plate. Breakfast was such a treat every morning, incredible fresh ingredients and something different on each day. I would not hesitate to stay at Amara Suites again and will be recommending it to all of my family and friends. Whilst in Santorini we came across the saying “arrive as strangers leave as family” and this sums up exactly how we felt upon leaving Amara Suites. The hotel owner is exceptionally kind, helpful, and friendly. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed — from helping us find the nearest bus station, to recommending organized tours and local attractions. He was always available with a smile and a great sense of humor, making us feel at home every step of the way. The breakfast served each morning was absolutely amazing — fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented by the pool, creating the perfect start to each day. Speaking of the pool — it’s gorgeous! Clean, calm, and surrounded by a peaceful setting that made us never want to leave. The location of the hotel is simply ideal: just a short walk to the beach, close to supermarkets, cafes, and seaside restaurants, and conveniently located near a bus stop that connects you easily to the rest of the island. We truly loved every moment here and can confidently say that this has been one of our best hotel experiences ever. Couldn’t have found a better place to stay for the end of our honeymoon. The most welcoming arrival, and the warm encounters continued throughout. All the reviews about the breakfast are true, each morning it was so delicious, and so was all the other food (we had the best Greek salad here out of everywhere we visited). Rooms are beautiful, really peaceful, pool is amazing, great location near the beach and Dimitris and his family couldn’t have been more accommodating or kind during our stay. Thanks so much and looking forward to returning!

It was all perfect!

The room was very comfortable. The maid service is remarkable leaving our room spotless. The view of the surrounding mountains was very nice and the overlooking of the pool was beautiful, The breakfast was great. Each day we had eggs made to our liking, yogurt with honey and walnuts, Croissant and breads pastries and many fruits along with freshly squeezed orange juice. It was too much but hard to resist. Of the 6 nights we were there we had dinner there 4 times and it was probably the best food we had. Dimitry and Eleni along with there wonderful staff treat you special all the time. It is a family run business and they truly care to give you the most wonderful experience. Sad to leave.
