Dimitri (who runs the hotel) and his family are the most accommodating and amazing people we have ever met! The service Dimitri provides is incredible. Every guest wants to spend as much time with him as possible, as he is so personable and fun to be around. Each morning, you are served the best cooked and most generous breakfast I have ever experienced - the food at Amara Suites was better than anything else we had in Santorini. We ended up mainly only eating in the hotel as nothing else could compare!! The hotel itself is beautiful, modern and the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room is cleaned everyday, fresh towels/bedding and water replenished. The location is perfect walking distance from everything you need (shops/beach/bars/restaurants and perfectly located to have no noise disturbing you at night!

We simply loved everything about this beautiful, cozy, clean and warm family driven hotel. The rooms are spacious, cleaned by their amazing staff every day and the jacuzzi on the terras was perfect!! Even the shower of the room is perfect!! We didn't have any issues but I am sure that if we would, it would be solved immediately. The pool and terrace are great as well, it's clean and perfect to relax. And then the breakfast and the food..... wauw.... everything which comes out of their kitchen is amazing!!! It is honestly the best food we had on the whole Island, and we been around. And last but not least; Kamari is a perfect location to visit several places on the Island. It is not as hectic and busy as Fira and Oia and does offer enough facilities. From there you are everywhere on the island within 20 minutes tops. We would like to thank Dimitris, Helena, Georgios and the whole family and staff for making our holiday perfect!!

Well, if you go to a hotel with this kind of rating the expectations are very high. We never stayed at a place with rating 10, so we were very curious and yes you might look for things which maybe are a bit disappointing.... You will realize quickly where the rating comes from and that it is well deserved. Nothing disappoints, they will do everything to make you feel at home and to make your stay perfect!! So nothing less than 10 is well deserved for this great place and the beautiful family running it!! We will definitely go back there!!!

A stunning oasis of calm with a beautiful pool and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. This family run Boutique hotel is a special place and it’s perfect. Thoughtfully designed landscaping and zen like bedrooms with opulent bedding and room touches . The breakfast was a major event and so clever. You got to eat and try everything. There was no awkward self service and queueing, but instead, a platter of fresh breads, pastries, fruits and all derivatives of eggs, bacon. I am getting hungry as I type. This is THE PLACE to stay on Santorini and my family and I cannot wait to return.

This was my fourth stay in Kamari and Amara Suites is by far the best place we have stayed. From the moment we arrived and received a warm welcome from the owner, Dimitrios, we knew we were in the right place for a lovely relaxing break and felt part of his family right away. The whole place was immaculate. The rooms are well thought out and cleaned daily to an exceptionally high standard. The hot tub is a nice touch. The pool, bar areas, food and drinks are fantastic. Particularly breakfast by the pool, which was different every day. After a dust storm from the Sahara covered the whole island in an orange dust, the whole family staff team worked tirelessly to clean and get the place back to its best. Dimitrios is an amazing host who goes above and beyond to make your holiday extra special and with the help of his wife & talented chef, his son and other family members, you really couldn’t find a better place to stay in Paradise. We cannot wait to return

Our stay at Amara Suites Santorini was excellent. Demetrius and his family made us feel welcome and part of their family. Their hospitality was exceptional, and their personal touch made all the difference. The breakfasts served by the pool each morning were a highlight. Our room was immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, as was the entire complex, with detail that provided a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and relaxing ambience. We particularly enjoyed the balcony whirlpool tub, which was a great way to end the day. The location is also ideal, just a short walk to Kamari Beach, many restaurants and shops, and a half-hour drive to Oia. Amara Suites Santorini is a rare find and provides exceptional value for money. It offers luxury, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

It was perfect

Excellent doesn't even do this hotel justice. In all my travels I have never enjoyed a stay more than I did with Dimitri and his family at Amara Suites. From the moment you walk in you and made to feel like family. From his wife cooking the most amazing meals, to Dimitri greeting you with a hug and a handshake each morning it really was the most enjoyable 8 days at Amara for our Honeymoon. You will not go wrong booking a short or long stay here and when booking don't forget to add the breakfast. The highlight is the homemade Greek Yogurt with local honey and walnuts.

A beautiful oasis of relaxation! This place is a true hidden gem — the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. The family who runs the hotel is absolutely wonderful: incredibly warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything you need. The rooms are modern, spotless, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cleaning staff does an amazing job — everything was always perfectly clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was a real highlight — everything you could ask for! The Greek yogurt was the best I’ve ever had, the fruit was incredibly fresh, and there were plenty of protein options for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. I would 100% recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

A truly special and magical place. Exceptional hospitality from Dimitrios and family, creating a calm and relaxing environment. Our suite was lovely and comfortable, also great pool area. Food was fabulous, especially breakfast and the greek yoghurt was amazing! A great location, just a short walk to the beach, close to supermarket, cafes, bars and restaurants. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and making us feel at home away from home. For anyone thinking about visiting Santorini, I highly recommend Amara Suites, and I can't wait to return.

Having to go home

It was my second stay at Amara Suites and I will definitely come back to the same place again. It is such a beautiful, modern, clean and hospitable place. The family who runs it is so lovely and they make sure You have everything You need. They make you feel like it is Your own home in Greece. The breakfast is great and lunch/dinner is so fresh and more tasty than most of the restaurants by the sea! Location is fantastic. I really loved how clean it was at all times. I really hope to see Dimitri and his family soon again! Thank You for taking care of me and my parents on their 40 yrs wedding anniversary.

Absolutly no bad comments

Everything about this property was beautiful. The rooms, the breakfasts, the hospitality, the pool area and the area of Kamari. I would go as far as to say this was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in & the friendliness shown to us by Dimitris, George & family was second to none. We were a large group of friends and the family went out of their way to serve us amazing breakfasts every morning (way more than we could eat), drive us to all of our day and night excursions & generally treat us like family at every moment. Also the bar serves really quality alcoholic drinks which was really important to us. Dimitris is a character and kept us laughing for the whole 5 days. We learned about his family, including his grandmother Amara who the hotel is named after. Every single one of our group of 9 has said they will be visiting Santorini again and that there is nowhere else they would stay than Amara suites. Thank you for the most wonderful holiday!
