The staff and the cleaning

The rooms are very old, there is not much choice at breakfast, the restaurant have a normal menu, not much variety, and there is no sauna or spa. Personally I think it’s a maximum 3 stars hotel not a 4 stars like they say…and I think I will never came back at this hotel again.

The Hotel is located just a short walk away from the beautiful beach of Kamari. When staying on the island of Santorini, Kamari for me was the best option and this hotel was amazing. The breakfast had a large selection of both sweet and savoury options, even a few local things to try out (eg. greek yogurt, orange cake) and no matter what time you go in, it’s always stocked. The pool looks beautiful and has a number of loungers, shaded by bouganville. There’s also a gym, which I can’t speak on since I honestly haven’t been in. The garden that leads to the rooms is stunning, with palm trees and other bouganville bushes. The room I stayed in was a good size, the double bed was comfortable and there was a balcony that overlooked the garden.

The only negative note I have overall is about the bathroom, more specifically the shower: it was very outdated.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and regularly replenished, so there was always a good selection to choose from. The rooms were cozy, and the overall impression was very positive. There is also a lovely swimming pool with a pleasant water temperature. There is a nice selection of toiletries provided, including shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion and conditioner. There is a bus stop around 4-5 minutes by walk if you need/want to travel by public transport. The English level of staff was great and all communication was very clear and simple.

water is not drinkable, which is completely understandable. Upon arrival, there was a 1L bottle of still water in the room’s fridge. However, it was not automatically replaced daily as we expected. You can ask at the reception or bar for another bottle of the same water, but I was surprised to find that we were charged €2 for it. This is not a large amount, of course, but I am used to hotels in destinations without drinkable tap water providing complimentary water refills automatically and without charge. The hairdryer was rather weak (around 1000–1200W), which made drying hair take noticeably longer. Sometimes the Wi-Fi is working a bit slower.

The location is 5 minutes to the beach, 8 minutes bus stop, walking distance to bars, restaurants and supermarket. Fira just 10 minutes.away.by bus and 30 minutes to Oia. The housekeeping regularly change the towel and clean the bedroom. Breakfast was wonderful staffs are helpful and friendly. Lovely pool and garden. Takes 10 minutes to airport but we barely hear the flight at night. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay at kamari / santorini!!!! Heaven

The jacuzzi just have a normal water temperature. I prefer wo have it warmer as I travel on October. But not a big deal

The location is great, even if it was 20 mins away from Fira. I like the peacefulness of the area and how it has a lot of great restaurants just outside. I also love the hotel pool, it was one of the biggest I’ve seen out there.

The rooms were good, but I feel like some of the bathrooms could use a bit of an upgrade. There was some rust around the sink and shower, and the shower mat could be replaced.

- Room was big and clean, with the ability to use jetted tube, and a separate balcony was really nice. - Pool was clean and big enough for comfort swimming. - There was no kids, so it was kinda quite and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and had enough variety of food. - AC was good enough to have enough comfort in the sunny day. - Every stuff was friendly and smily.

- Jetted tube doesn't have heating that was a big minus, because you usually wanna take at the evening. - There was no bathrobe and slippers provided, take it into account. - Wifi was very slow, so you should use your own roaming data while in the room. - Room wasn't protected in any way from the noise of the airplanes. - Water, tea or coffee are not provided in the room, while in other 4 star hotels that was a norm.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Staff were super friendly and always happy to help. Pool area was lovely and very relaxing. Rooms were spacious and plenty of towels provided. Great location- walking distance to supermarket and the ‘action’ is close, yet a quiet area around the hotel which is good. Transfers to and from hotel provided at a cost.

Only criticism is that although the bathroom is spacious, there is small shower area where the shower curtain sticks to your body when using the shower. We had to open one side of the curtain to stop this from happening. Also, the wifi is hit and miss.

We had a perfect stay at Hermes. The hotel has a modern boho feel about it. The staff have all been super friendly and polite. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was huge and so comfortable. The shower was a good size compared to many others. The little balcony was great. The pool was chilly and perfect to cool off in. The pool area includes a variety of different seating options. There is an outdoor bar by the pool. We had breakfast which was a buffet style with lots of choice. We also ate lunch in the outdoor seating area, the food was delicious. The hotel is perfectly located, just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a wide range of restaurants across the sea front.

We wish we could have stayed longer.

My mum and I loved this hotel, she was incredible amazed by the attention to detail with the exterior architecture to our room which was clean, cool and modern. The staff were incredibly, friendly, helpful and always had a smile. The amenities provided were all olive oil based, a nice touch given we are in Santorini. The location is about a 10 min walk straight down from the hotel and the journey to get there is beautiful to look at. I would say it was quite quiet, not too busy with people in the hotel.

I'm not a big fan of shower curtains as it is harder to clean, however this is personal preference.
