Mare Monte was fabulous in every respect, family owned and run with attention to detail, great breakfast and relaxation area, large immaculately cleaned rooms. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Friendly and super helpful owners. They arranged golf buggy so that 4 of us could circle the wonderful island of Spetses. Highly recommend and much better than big impersonal hotels

Absolutely nothing

Mare Monte is an exquisite, tasteful restoration where every detail has been attended too. The hosts and all staff from housekeeping to the night porter - warm, professional and exceptionally helpful. The room generous and provided a quiet sanctuary for the hustle of Spetses. Simply magic!!

I have stayed here many times and love this property. Very private but conveniently located at the end of Spetses town so only a short walk to the town centre. Very well managed conversion with spacious rooms and wide breakfast selection.

Nothing really to dislike although it would be nice to have some wine glasses in each room as a suggestion.

Beautiful building and facilities. Room was simple but sizeable and had everything we needed. Staff was incredible and breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again!

Only a minor thing but our room was on the side of the main street going into town so occasionally you could hear loud vehicles going by (for those that may be sensitive to noise).

Mare Monte is a beautiful boutique hotel nestled between the old and new ports and a short walking distance to both for dinner and shopping. Maria and Spiros go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The brunch was fantastic; so much variety and some of the best spanakopita and dolmathes I’ve had the whole time in Greece! If we return to Spetses, we will definitely return to Mare Monte!

There was nothing to not like about this experience!

Beautiful suite, very nice outdoor area with the pool, which was also a jacuzzi. The room was super clean, the breakfast was super tasty with handmade products and amazing coffee, and the owners were so friendly that you felt like home. Location central yet far from noise, which allows for a relaxing vacation!

Nothing to say, everything was perfect!

The property was walking distance from the port, and well kept. The room was clean and comfortable, and exactly as they appeared in the pictures. The shower was good, with good pressure and hot water. Generally the setting was beautifully, and the staff were very welcoming. Pool area was nice, but small with only two beds.

Our room (Tramountana Junior Suite) did not feel private. It was just two metres from reception, and felt like we could easilybe overheard. Breakfast was OK, but with pre-cooked elements such as eggs, that wasn't particularly appealing. The breakfast could also do with some variety. It was identical during our 5 day stay. Generally for the the high price we paid, I'd expect more.

The property and owners exceeded our expectations in every way. It was centrally located and beautifully restored. The owners were friendly, accessible and extremely helpful with suggestions and reservations. Can't wait to visit this beautiful island and property again !!!!!

Very nice room, large and well equipped. It is a family hotel with a very small number of rooms but the location is perfect and our stay was very nice.
