Hotel Panellinion is full of history and I couldn't have picked a better option to travel for work. Right in the centre of the city, in walking distance to everything. Staff is very friendly and was very surprised to hear from their side, how the hotel has survived through the years, dated since 1906 if I am correct. They gave me their best room with my balcony view facing the main square of Trikala, as well as a glimpse of the river. At the reception I heard all sorts of stories about all the significant people that have stayed there, from politicians to art people and so on. The decoration is like you travel back in time (20's-40's style). Furniture may look outdated to some, but personally I wouldn't change a thing! As far as breakfast goes, they have a lovely table seating area next door, where you can order anything you like!

The only problem I encountered, is the shower in the bathroom lacking a shower door protection. When you shower it can get a bit messy (water all over the place).

Very friendly and helpful staff, with special thanks to Vangelis and Thanassis who went above and beyond for us. Great location in the centre of the city. Offered a free drink on arrival. Good quality and large portion for the included breakfast. Spacious room. Would recommend to family and friends.

Its owners and staff were very hospitable. The building, its furniture, photographs and pictures on the wall all have wonderful stories.

Being a hisorical building, our room's A/C did not perform well for heating our room.

This is a beautiful hotel with over a century of history. The exhibited items and the rooms themselves could be a museum. Fantastic place to spend some time in Trikala.

Comfortable room with pleasant outlook over the town. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff who advised us where to visit and provided a map! Great base for exploring the area.

No kettle in room. Restaurant not wonderful for dinner, many items on menu not available.

We loved the style and decoration of the hotel. It is an old building, beautifully renovated. The owners have managed to preserve the atmosphere, yet provide modern facilities. The personnel were very friendly and attentive. The have extra parking space, to provide to visitors

All was great. If I have to say something, is that it lacks an elevator, but it has only one floor. So it is not really a problem.
