It is an antique grand hotel, with authentic wooden furniture and romantic design...It is like stepping into the past. Everything was large from the high ceilings, the spacious room, the comfortable bed, to the clean and fancy bathroom. The hotel was surrounded by beautiful tall trees and waking/bike riding trails. We only had breakfast, but the food was tasty and diverse. The pool was closed as we were in winter, but it looked well maintained. Also the location was great - it is a quite place with just 15 min from Trikala, The Christmas Village and 15 min from Kalambaka and the Meteora Monasteries.

The pictures online didn't do this place justice. It was such a lovely stay, I wish we could have stayed longer! The structure of the hotel itself was unique and really just gorgeous--so many places to sit and enjoy besides your room. It reminded me of one of our ranch style hotels back in CA. The dinner and breakfast buffet we had were wonderful, the beds were very comfortable and we even had a bathtub in our room, which is always great for the kids. The staff were extremely helpful, gave me very useful info about the touristy things. It was also just peaceful and quiet. Our room overlooked some forest area-very serene. I hope to come back and stay longer!

Breakfast was wonderful - huge variety, and plenty of everything, even with tour groups descending on the breakfast room. The pool was beautiful, and the perfect temperature. So nice to have drink/food service poolside! The air conditioner was on the fritz our first night, and we were sweltering. However, we spoke to management, and whatever was done seemed to solve the problem, and quickly. 2nd night was much more comfortable!

Given the water supply issues in the area, I would love to see less irrigated lawn, and more drought-tolerant plantings. Seeing the sprinklers running every morning in that heat was soul-crushing. Also, the entire country needs less emphasis on plastic bottles of water. A bottle filling station for reusable water bottles would be greatly appreciated!

The grounds were lovely. The pool area was attractive and inviting. Breakfast was huge with a great selection. We asked for a suite because we had a friend with us. We were pleased to see a cot made up in the main room for him so we all had our own space. The shower and dressing area was separate from the tub/toilet area. Robes and slippers were provided

The pool was cold, but the fact that it had water in it was wonderful.

What I don't like to this hotel amongst other Greek hotels, is the late checkin at 15:00. I find it audacious that after COVID-19 the hotel unions applied a late checkin on the pretext of leaving the rooms empty for airing. The specific hotel has many groups which are leaving early in order to visit Meteora & other destinations, thus leaving much earlier. To put it into perspective, 15:00 hours out of 24:00 is 62.6% of the first day of staying, is going to waste. A valuable time when traveling all the way from Athens or Thessaloniki & further cities to entertain the kids at the "Elf's Mill" on Christmas time. Silver lining, the fact that you could inform the hotel of early arrivals subject to availability.

Great hotel with a feel of “old Greece”, traditional decoration and nice facilities for its price. Lovely pool, great dinner and breakfast and nice lounge rooms. The rooms were comfortable. The staff is nice too!

It’s a 10min drive from the city of Kalambaka and there’s nothing interesting around the hotel. Also, there could be some improvements, like their elevator which is very old. I’m general, this is a great hotel to stay at.

The hotel is spacious, traditional-styled and quiet, the bedroom was very big and equipped with everything one might need. The bed itself is also very very big. The swimming pool is quiet in the morning and provides a very nice and refreshing break from the heat of Meteora. Breakfast is rich and varied, and could accommodate also my needs (I'm intolerant to gluten). Very good price-value ratio overall.

The swimming pool could have more sunbeds (not easy to find a spot to lie down in the afternoon) and it would be nice if the gluten free breakfast included also some bread replacement like rice cakes, or a gluten free cake.

Everything was beyond our expectations! Particularly the people that work in the hotel, they are really kind and always ran the extra mile for the customers, kudos to them. Also the bar rooms were amazing with board games, chimney, good music and the best staff. The breakfast was also good and the rooms too

We loved everything, we felt at home

We arrived very early so the room wasn’t available but the staff had no problem with us using the pool and had a storage room for our luggage. Pool and pool area are excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Buffett evening meal and breakfast had plenty of choice. Great location for exploring Meteora but out of the actual town.

Drinks were a bit pricey

Nice big rooms and bathroom. The pool is really big and a welcome addition in the summer heat!!! Good location, a few minutes from town by car.

Our bathroom had not been cleaned properly. We couldn't figure out what the horrible smell was until my daughter found a huge puddle of urine on the floor, which was not very nice. I called reception to complain, and housekeeping was sent up immediately and cleaned. We were offered another room, but we're going out for dinner, so we didn't swap to another room. Reception were very apologetic, but it was basic cleaning, in my opinion.
