The location is perfect, the view from the room takes your breath away, having a coffee on that balcony is priceless! The room itself is very nice and clean. The staff was very nice and always willing to help you with all your problems. We missed a ferry due to a strike and we needed to solve it or we would miss another hotel stay, another ferry and the flight back home! These people helped us in all possible scenarios until we found a viable solution. It was not part of their job or their problem but that is why we felt very welcome, they let us see the beautiful side of the Greeks without a doubt!

The Aeolic Star is a vintage boutique hotel that is conveniently located—literally, it is at the center of Kalabaka. In my case, I arrived by bus, and the bus station was three blocks away from the hotel. The room was well equipped and everything functioned as it should. My room had panoramic views and a charming terrace with a table and chairs. Also, the friendly staff accommodated my late arrival request, which was at midnight. Kalabaka, overall, has a vibrant nightlife and during the day has several restaurants serving a wide array of Greek and international cuisine delicacies. And yes, all those places were steps away from the hotel. If I ever return to Kalabaka, for sure I’d like to stay again at the Aeolic Star hotel.

Very clean and comfortable rooms, beds were very nice. Shower and bathroom were good, very central location within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Parking very close to the hotel and a view from the balcony.

A kettle in the room with some cups to make coffee in the morning to enjoy the balcony view of the stones. Especially travelling with children, some utensils and a microwave would have been useful.

An old fashioned hotel that could be improved further. We booked a room with a view and the whole setup blew our mind up. The room was spacious with a VERY big separate bathroom. The balcony had a great view. Overall a great stay.

All were good but looked dated. the place needs updating. Otherwise nothing to complaint about really.

The hotel room is small, but very cozy and with a good view of the mountains. Everything is nearby, the best restaurant, shops, and a tour desk, where we booked an excellent excursion (30 Euros per person) “Watching the sunset at Meteora.” This is an unforgettable place. as if we had visited another planet.

We do not recommend bringing suitcases into the room as it is very small. Take only the necessary things.

Small balcony ( when I wasn't expecting the room to have one). Lots of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. Heating via central heating unit that you can control yourself. ( Room was warm when I arrived and I didn't need to heat it again.) Clean white cotton sheets, and a firm mattress:-) There was a small desk/table that was big enough to work from. The lift!!

Nothing really. These are just tiny issues but ... maybe could provide a few coat hangers. Everything was clean overall but I noticed one or two small spots where cleaning had been missed. And the soundproofing isn't great so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.

View from room is good. Hotel is located on cosy square, shops and restaraunts are close. It's 10 min by foot to walking route to Meteora, Staff helped us with early check-in and allowed to leave our bags on departure day, Bathroom is clean, teapot in room. We enjoyed staying here.

Very friendly and welcoming lady at front desk. View from balcony was gorgeous. Hotel was in a great location, very convenient getting in and out of Kalamabaka. Good water pressure and hot water in shower. I was very comfortable.

Excellent location, just next to the town hall and bus station, close to local tourist companies, restaurants, shops, railway station, etc. Quite spacious room, friendly staff, comfortable bed, view on Meteora mountains.

Nothing to improve within the existing building. The hotel cannot offer breakfast because there is no room to set it up. But this is not a drawback. There are a couple of cafes and tavernas on the same square.

Hotel is located right by the city square and main strip, and the view of Meteora from the balcony is enchanting. The hotel is 30 seconds from a large, free parking lot. The room is small but has all the amenities (fridge, water kettle, coffee/tea packets) and the bedding is very comfortable.
