Breakfasts were exceptional with a big variety of foods including fresh fruits, excellent coffee and juices. The central air conditioning was working properly even on tropical temperatures. The hotel staff was super nice. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. We haven't seen mosquitoes during our stay. The complex has great spa and conference facilities. Nearby beaches has blue flag award for water cleanliness and other 32 criterias. Parking is spacious and the garden is lovely.

The hotel is beachfront but instead of the beach, it has a floating platform. There is a small stony beach nearby, 2 mins from the hotel.

Location, staff, breakfast, ample parking space, good restaurants, and market nearby, ambiance, and atmosphere of resort.

The atmosphere is pleasant, and the outdoor swimming pool is equally enjoyable. We didn’t get a chance to try the indoor pool. There's always a lifeguard on duty, and the view is stunning. The resort also offers a kids' club from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where you can leave your child under the supervision of a caretaker for a few hours. Additionally, the food at breakfast and in the restaurant is absolutely fantastic.

It's supposed to be a 5-star resort, but I would rate it closer to 3.5 stars due to numerous amenities not functioning properly and some of the facilities showing signs of age.

Valis is a large hotel and a conference center. The location is good, just in front of the sea. The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are large. It has a nice outdoor swimming pool, a spa and large common areas. The breakfast buffet is very nice and the pool bar and restaurant are good. We were there during the worst possible period when storm Daniel struck and the whole area around Volos was flooded. The hotel was the only structure in the area with electricity and the few remaining staff worked extremely hard to keep us safe, dry and fed. We would like to thank them for their efforts.

the rooms and the bathrooms need to be refreshed. The beds are uncomfortable and the choice of pillows poor.

The stuff will do everything in their power to help you and make your stay as pleasant as possible, the hotel in Volos by far... I want to thank the reception for everything they did for us and the girls from the pool bar Ioanna and the rest of the crew were just amazing life guards also did a tremendous job keeping the people safe, thank you 😊

Some minor things need attention as time goes by and being in front of the sea doesn't help .

Nice area with lots of restaurants within walking distance and they close down the esplanade to cars at night which great for kids and others walking the esplanade. Congratulations to the precinct for this fantastic initiative.

This is what I don’t like about Greece in general but if the National Government could address it would worth its weight in Gold for the Greek Economy. The lack of recycling of plastic, metal cans and paper is a very negative marketing image for Greece. It portrays Greece as a third world country. In the long run something must be done about the rubbish situation as it look very unprofessional from a tourist point of view. Greece could become a leader in sustainable and environmental tourism if recyling and rubbish could addressed.

For us it was a very good value because we had like 40% discount. Also, because it was off season and the area was kind of empty post the storm, they were very nice to upgrade us from a room with no balcony to a room with seaview. The breakfast is also very nice, a lot of choices, you can get something else each day. The pool is great, although not heated.

In all fairness, the hotel should not be rated as a 5 star hotel. I can only imagine what you would pay in full season for a room with seaview and it is not worth it. It needs some renovations and improvements. You don't have a beach, but this is the area, not their fault. You have to pay separately for spa facilities, only the indoor pool is included.

Great location, within drivable distance to Pelion and its wonderful beaches. Excellent rich Greek breakfast, value for money. Relaxing atmosphere in nature and with a big swimming pool. The spa offered high quality services, I had full body massage that relieved my muscles.

It needs better maintenance.

Very nice hotel in an amazing village !Location is absolutely beautiful and loved the entire area! Room size was good , but maybe a bit dated .The sea view- anazing1 I cannot comment on breakfast as we left before it started.

The pool bar had a restaurant- which we used for lunch: we ordered pizza and pasta .They brought us some pasta with a a salt less basic red dressing ..and supermarket frozen pizza ( heated at microwave). Unacceptable in 5 starts hotels!

kids club was nice, but doesn’t have a bathroom so they send the kids down the hall to a lobby bathroom in their own, which isn’t so great with smaller kids. still, out kids enjoyed it. pool and the main/afternoon lifeguard were great (morning lifeguard spent most of her time looking at her phone, not the pool). good shallow area for kids and floaties to borrow. also was surprised that the water wasn’t drinkable in the room and there were no water bottles provided (just a minibar with drinks for purchase).

we had a “suite” which was a pretty worn out, albeit large, room with a remarkably worn sofa bed. calling it a suite seems a bit disingenuous.
