The owners were super polite and helpful. The hotel is renovated , modern and warm (metaforecally and literally on some cold nights of April). The bed and pillow were really good, the room also had a fireplace and the hotel is in the main village square , very close to restaurants and bars. Although the room did not have a balcony per se, it does have large balcony doors and when you open them you can enjoy the view of the beautiful village square. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations : a large buffet with fresh local sweet and also savory pies, eggs, local marmalade ,orange juice , coffee and more ! There is even a small living room by the entrance with a fireplace where you can sit and enjoy the fire in cold nights. You can tell that the owners really care for this hotel and with this breakfast included in this price, it is a no brainer choice.

The only negative that i can think of, is one that most hotels in the village will face : In high demand seasons, the parking spaces of the village will be overcrowded. Luckily, not in April. If you decide to stay in Portaria to enjoy the many bars and restaurants, this is a solid choice.

It was such a beautiful stay. We arrived late at night and were greeted warmly by the host at the reception and were given directions to park our car. The breakfast spread was perfect with home made delicacies (cakes and pies were the best). The hosts make the stay incredible and homely with their personal touch. The building is maintained so well and clean. We loved our stay and hope to visit again! The location is cozy, and you can spend hours enjoying your coffee under the plane trees. Highly recommend :)

We had an amazing stay, the room was very clean and charming. The owner was very kind, and provided us great tips for a short hike nearby. The breakfast was delicious with home made pies and jams, with the plus of enjoying it outside in a lovely environment. To complement our stay, we enjoyed an amazing meal in the taverna right next door (local, fresh and tasty products).

Very good location, right in the central square of Portaria, full of flowers, under secular trees the french balcony was facing the square and flowers very nice hosts two bedroom apartment, each room with its own bathroom, tipical hotel room very clean, very quiet, all amnesties good wifi very good breakfast with freshly cooked traditional cakes parking lot 20 m away

One of the cleanest rooms I've been, very friendly and accommodating owners, nice cozy room with fireplace, at a central location, decent breakfast choices, good value.

If I had to name 1 kind of negative thing, it would be the fact that there's not much noise insulation, so it's easy to hear other guests laughing etc, but haven't had too much of a problem the 2 times we stayed.

Lovely owners and great location. Really good breakfast, with a variety of handmade cakes and also continental options. Private parking just in the centre of the town. The room was spacious and clean with garden view. Highly recommended

The room with the fireplace was very cosy. Plenty of wood was provided to keep the fire burning for a few hours. The staff were super friendly. They helped us with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was homemade and there was a large choice of foods. The en-suite bathroom size was fine for me. The shower was great.

Free private parking. Perfect location right on the central square. Fireplace in the room with free logs. Radiator heating too. Nice staff. Very cozy in general.

Mattress could be better. Breakfast could be better.

Unbelievably great for the value! Room was comfortable and clean and we got everything we needed, staff was absolutely welcoming, and the breakfast was good! Unfortunately, we only stayed for a night, but I think we could have stayed there for many nights more!

A bit noisy at night, but nothing too dramatic.

The room was very nice, the location is excellent in the central square, the owners are very friendly, the breakfast was very good, excellent value for money. I will be happy to return if I come to the area again.
