The hotel's location is probably the best in the town of Volos. The hotel is just next to the sea, its view is fantastic! The personnel was very kind and helpful. When we arrived at the reception, an excellent gentleman explained to us the facilities of the hotel, upgraded at once our room (sea view in front of the grass, just next to the sea), and offered a wellness package without any extra charge. The room was quite clean and had all the amenities a couple would need. The staff in the bar was perfect, and the food was tasty at reasonable prices! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone if you plan to visit the town of Volos!

Well, it's hard to find something that we didn't like. Perhaps someone would mention the old style of the hotel or the vintage furniture. Nevertheless, the cleanliness was a standard. If I had to recommend a change, I would recommend a change in the breakfast by adding more local products from a bakery or a pastry shop.

The hotel was clean, cool and spacious. Really lovely and accommodating staff around the hotel and at meal times and in the bar area. Breakfast was exceptional, a great range of continental and locally sourced food. One host in the breakfast bar showed me how to make greek coffee which was very considerate of him! We had one meal in the hotel restaurant which was delicious and spent 2 evenings in the rooftop terrace bar which was very popular and provided a stunning view of the port and surrounding area. Plus the cocktails were very good and staff were really friendly. The spa facilities are a little out of date and some things no longer work but the luxury of an indoor pool, sauna, steam and hot tub was still very pleasant and we cannot fault staff for showing us around and providing towels robes etc. The nearby outdoor pool was very salty but had shower facilities and staff were attentive. Our sea view room was simple but pleasant, comfortable and clean with a nice balcony. The air conditioning unit was a little loud but we had earplugs so not too much of a bother. Parking was easy and convenient and the location of being 10 mins walk from town was great. Volos has a good range of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and we really enjoyed our 3 day stay.

Professionalism and consistency in high quality summarizes the experience. Being a recurrent customer, it is great to see the standard always high. A special compliment to staff for their efficiency and cordiality; feels like a real 5 star international level, a very rare combination of qualities in my travel experience so far in various countries and places! Rooms very spacious and bright with a gorgeous uninterrupted sea view. Hotel design is vintage (certainly not outdated) as it keeps the original design concept of the 70s; I do love the vibes of it, gives the feeling of cosy, familiar yet it fully covers all contemporary needs. Very strong wifi, smooth work online.

We have stayed at this hotel twice before and returned because it is so good. The staff are really friendly. I must mention reception- the evening of our arrival they were exceptional in solving a problem we had. A credit to the hotel chain! When you are tired after a ferry journey and drive the attitude of reception staff is very important! Food was really good - the restaurant having wonderful views over the sea. A separate bar adds to the atmosphere. Car parking was very secure with an attendant present at the gate.

There was nothing we didn’t like - we will be back!

I find the staff at the Xenia Volou so warm and welcoming. I ask for a quiet room in advance and am always given one where I can relax and unwind. The breakfast environment is wonderful, the dining room is light and bright with sea views and the spread of food caters for all tastes and is excellent. The coffee is superb! The hotel is within easy walking distance of Vólos city centre but escapes the city noise.

Some of the work surfaces in the rooms are now in need of refurbishment.

I have been visiting the hotel at least twice a year, over the past 15 years. Perfect location, beachfront and 15 minutes walk to the city centre via the seaside promenade. The café with the garden is absolutely the best in town! Breakfast of very good quality and variety, once again with the best view over the gulf! A room with sea view is a must!!

The establishment shows its age but considering the positives, it's a non issue.

The location is perfect the spa is very clean. The rooms are nicely decorated( we had booked two rooms and the view from the balcony of the sea view room is breathtaking... The staf is very polite and helpful. Breakfast was great and with a great variety. The restaurant serves a great variety of local and gournet dishes. Loved all the time of our stay here.

Easily accessible hotel, within walking distance from the commercial district. Nice surroundings, literally at the edge of the beach, calm & quiet. Amazing views towards the sea as well as mount Pelion. Nice spa facilities (indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, massage & facial treatments etc.). Ample breakfast options. Huge parking lot.

A potential furniture refurbishment might go the extra mile..

I would prefer sea view room. The shower need an upgrade.

Lovely location, quiet, scenic, great views short walk to the city centre (10-15mins). Great business hotel yet with a resort feel (there’s a pool and spa and garden overlooking the sea), I’ve travelled here solo and with family before and this hotel works. Staff were incredibly helpful and very knowledgable of the area.
