Needed a bed for one night as our regular hotel in Volos was fully booked for our last night there (which didn't include us!!). Never stayed at the Alex before but overall very good, just the room was a bit "tired". But, good location, warm, good staff, other rooms may be better.

Shower in bath - always hate them!! Obviously the plumbing for the central heating must be run underneath the wooden floor & must have leaked at some point. This was possibly the reason for 2 radiators placed back to back, of the type found in 1960's school classrooms - quite large & ugly - and the floor being quite overdue for replacement.

The hotel itself was cozy and had a retro ambience that I really enjoyed. The staff was super nice and helpful, and the location of the hotel is ideal; close to the center and also close enough to the bus station.

The bathroom was a little small. I'm a big dude and it felt like I could barely fit in there, though this won't be a problem for a lot of people.

Absolutly good location, very kind staff, very clean hotel, every day the towels and sheets are changed. Normal breakfast, even fruits .Thank you!

It’s old fashioned but would still stay again

Perfect location, 5 minutes from the passenger ferry and no minute from the seafront. Plenty restaurants on the promenade to choose from. Hotel staff were all very friendly and it's luggage storage provision is very handy if you don't want to take any bulky stuff on the ferry while visiting Skiathos and it's sister islands.

The room is a bit dated but still comfortable and of good size.

Location, Staff, Room, Shower, Balkony, Breakfast was perfect, everything was okay, had a good night stay here, definitely can recommend it. We continued our trip from the harbour, which is only 5-10 minutes walk.

Mosquitos - and really a lot of them. The bathroom window should never be opened, otherwise it there will be some sleepless nights.

The best place to stay for a night or two in your way to other destination. Nice view, close to all that matters (the Port for the ferrys, the best restaurants, the city's promenada). The staff is very helpful.

It's a little oldish, but it does the job properly.

Walking distance to the port. Located in the most popular area of Volos city. The room had antimosquito even that was not needed. Fast reception with everything ready for check out. Bathroom with shampoo and hot water.

Perfect location. Good value for money. An ordinary hotel but much better price than the nearby hotels in the same category. Nice, helpful staff. I will stay there again someday and recommend it to friends and other people who want to visit Volos.
