We absolutely loved our stay at The Cactus Hotel in Laganas – it was the perfect base for our Zakynthos adventure! The hotel is spotless, with a modern, stylish interior that feels both cozy and fresh. It’s just a short walk from the beach, but still tucked away enough to be peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was a daily highlight – so many delicious options, with some variety each morning to keep things exciting. I especially appreciated the beautifully designed beach towels (such a nice touch!) and the luxurious Rituals products in the bathroom – made everything feel like a little spa retreat. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the little nap with tips and local recommendations was so useful – we ended up trying all the suggested restaurants and loved every one. Would come back in a heartbeat – and honestly, I hope I do very soon!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The accommodation was perfect — we had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious and, in my opinion, perfectly oriented. When we returned in the afternoon, the room stayed pleasantly cool, and we didn’t even need to use the air conditioning. In my personal opinion, this hotel definitely deserves at least 4⭐️. The breakfast was great, with plenty of options to choose from, even for those with food intolerances. As I read in one of the previous reviews, “it’s a little oasis of peace in Laganas” — and I can absolutely confirm that. The lively party life of the town didn’t affect our stay at all, and when we wanted to join in, it was just a 5-minute walk away. The beach may look far on the map, but in reality, it’s also just about a 5-minute walk. For me, this is a truly beautiful, clean, and excellently located hotel. The staff were amazing — always ready to help us at the reception whenever we needed anything. I was also pleasantly surprised that when we checked in, they took the time to introduce the whole island to us and pointed out the best spots to visit. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would gladly return.

We had a wonderful stay at Cactus Hotel! The location is ideal – close to the party street yet quiet at night, with many great restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. They even surprised us with lovely gifts for our anniversary, which made our stay feel extra special. The pool is clean and relaxing, and the bar has board games to borrow and great cocktails during happy hour.

Breakfast was tasty, though more variety and gluten-/dairy-free options would be appreciated. The only letdown was the gym, which could use better upkeep. Overall, great value – highly recommended!

the staff were incredibly helpful. we were there for a party holiday and they gave us tips on how to be safe while having fun. we were able to go to reception with any questions and they were happy to help. they also have security at night to prevent anyone that doesn’t stay there from entering. beds were described as two single beds and one camp bed but when we got there we were pleasantly surprised with three real beds. cleaners clean rooms everyday and had no issues with missing items unlike our friends in other hotels in the area.

Cactus Hotel is an absolute gem in this area. So calm and nice even though it is close to the main bar/club street. Lovely framed by green plants which makes it even more silent and fantastic. The staff is incredibly helpful, also with arranging trips (also self-made trips), and the cleaning was flawless. The pool is fresh and everything is clean on the premises. The closeness to the beach is also lovely. All in all, I can truly recommend this hotel. I stadied with my husband and two 18-year old kids.

The hotel was a bit pricy.

Our stay at Cactus was great! Everyone is very kind and helpful. The room was very pretty although for me it lacked a bit of storage to put clothes away when you have a longer stay. But very clean, the maids did great job everyday. The room is equipped with a little kitchenette and it also has a TV connected to Netflix if you have an account you can watch. The breakfast was also very good. We reccomend Cactus hotel for everyone who wants a chill holiday and a good time at Laganas.

The fact we had to leave our amazing room and perfect hotel

Super cosy hotel, at a very good location, just few min walk from the Strip, beach, supermarket, quad rental place. It is not noisy during the night. The staff was very kind and helpful. They shared all information regarding touristic sights, called taxi for us when needed, in addition they post a t-shirt to Hungary we left at the hotel! Rooms are well equipped and modern. The rooms were cleaned every day, new bedding and towels, floor mopped. Bar by the pool is soo great, nice bistro snacks and drinks, also shisha is available! Breakfast was okay.

The double room is quite small which is okay, but there is only one small wardrobe with a few hangers. The drawer was full of unnecessary equipments , but it would have been perfect for the clothes and our stuff instead.

The hotel has an excellent location – just a 2-minute walk from the main street, with a supermarket right in front and the beach only a few minutes away on foot.

However, it felt a bit overcrowded at times, and there weren’t enough sunbeds available by the pool for all guests. We also experienced a lot of mosquitoes, which was quite annoying. In our room, the door handle was broken and unfortunately injured my friend’s finger badly enough to cause bleeding. Aside from these issues, the hotel overall was good and I would still recommend it.

It is a very chick hotel for the area of Laganas, it was very clean, has a very nice bar next to the pool with good service, our room was quite quiet despite the parties we could hear nearby when going outside. It is convenient to go to restaurants from that area. The staff is very friendly and responsive to requests, even brought a small cake for our son’s birthday. I also liked the two pools, since the kids one is relatively large and enjoyable by the kids. The pool area is nice and clean. Overall accommodated a very good vacation!

The rooms are bit small for a family, we didn’t have space for large suitcases, the wardrobe is also small, it fits only one person’s clothes. The hotel itself is on a busy street so if you stay at the pool for the day, you might feel like you are beaching on the street with motorcycles bumming all day. There is a parking slot, however it is very small and rarely have available slots. Someone from the parking even bumped our car in the front and left as nothing happened, however the front was broken badly.
