Myself, husband & two kids (13 & 7) have spent 2 amazing weeks at the Zante Calinica hotel. The family run hotel, with just 25 rooms is run with passion & determination to make everyone welcome. We had the 2 bed apartment in the main hotel block, modern & plenty of room with a large wrap around balcony, stunning views both out to the sea & inland. The hotel itself is nestled just on the edge of Tsilivi, and in my opinion, the best location in town. Away from the traffic & hustle and bustle, but still less than 10 mins walk to the restaurants & bars, with the beach just a little further, no issue even in the August heat. The breakfast is a homemade feast of hot & cold delights, something for all. The daily bakes of cupcakes & cookies are a lovely touch, and the choice of homemade jams is beyond anything I’ve seen! The pool area was impeccably clean and never crowded, it had plenty of space & sun-beds always available. A quiet retreat (I fear we were probably the noisiest!!) with a well stocked pool bar, that offered delicious meals all day and my son’s highlight, a slushy maker with dozens of flavours!! It was our first time to Greece with the children, the Zante Calinica made it one of our best holidays. I would return in a heartbeat and encourage anyone reading this not to hesitate with booking this hotel.

I was half travelling solo and half with a friend for my stay in Zakynthos, our stay at Zante Calinica was perfect. The hotel is well positioned just at the end of the Main Street Tsilivi so everything is walking distance, shops, bus stop, beach, very easy to get around to everything. the room was spotlessly clean and spacious, cleaned daily and felt secure. The pool was a great option to relax as well! We mainly had Dionisis helping us with our stay and he was excellent. Looked after us really well, was very accommodating and always available to help us out with any questions, how to get places, etc. Thank you very much to the team at Zante Calinica for a wonderful stay!

The breakfast was very good; the beds were super comfortable; the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, as all the other reviews state. The family is really dedicated to the business and customer satisfaction and went out of their way to help us (even allowing early check-in to let our kids nap!).

The room was not what we expected based on the photos (2 bedroom apartment). It was essentially a one bedroom apartment with additional beds in the kitchen area, which was uncomfortable for 3 adults as someone had to sleep in the 'common' area with the kitchen and bathroom. A 2 bedroom apartment, to me, means 2 separate bedrooms in addition to a common area. It was also 1km from the beach, not 450m which was a brutal walk in the heat. But the staff was wonderful and I'd stay again (in a different room that was more reflective of the photos).

We only had a brief stay for one night, but we were so well looked after by Dionisis and the staff. The breakfast was excellent (with 18 homemade jams!), the pool and the bar were perfect for a day of relaxing. Our room, with a double for parents and two twins for kids in a separate space (not to mention the seaview balcony) was exactly what we needed

The hotel looks absolutely beautiful both inside and outside the premises, the pool was 10/10, beds were amazing, we had the sea view room which was stunning! we stayed for 10 days with family and friends for our destination wedding and everyone absolutely loved everything- from the rooms to the amazing people that work there. It’s a family run hotel and they made sure we had a great time and accommodated our every need! The hotel is located in a really good and calm area which makes it perfect for couples or families, the food amazing both for breakfast and room service 10/10! Special shoutout to Dimitra (absolute goddess), Dionisis (this guy is amazing, honestly), the younger brother, the little sister and the mom (makes the best strawberry jam!) Sorry, we can’t remember all the names. You’re all amazing! thank you thank you!! we’ll be back!!

Zante Calinica Hotel was amazing and super modern! Very responsive staff and attentive! My parents had a two room suite with a Queen bed and 2 twin beds for my kids. Very spacious, clean and super balcony views! My wife and I stayed in the private tree house suite with private pool for our anniversary and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD cool, with views of lower towns and coast of Zakynthos. Breakfast was complete with everything you could want for the morning! Dionissios, the manager, needs a RAISE for doing his job highly proficient and well! Highly recommend!

Have helicopters for rent (since I fly them lol)

The hotel was placed in really nice area close to the beach and local restaurants. The room was clean and spacious with an iron and iron board which was really helpful for long stay. The balcony was spacious with the pool looking small but was big enough. It worths the value. We did order food from room service, they have an online system so you can check order status, and the food was amazing, hot and tasty. It is a must try. And not expensive at all compared to restaurants prices. The staff was lovely and really helpful.

The property was beautiful. Everything looked amazing and worked really well. The room and view were amazing. The bed was very comfortable. Room service was also incredible and our favourite part.

We didn’t like that there was only one small dustbin in the bathroom and no general dustbin in the kitchen so we had to leave all our waste on the kitchen counter for the cleaning staff to pick up every morning. There was also a bit of a weird smell coming from the drain in the bathroom so if we left the doors and windows closed, the room would smell a bit when we got back

Absolutely outstanding! Amazing family run Hotel, so friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can possibly be. The hotel is immaculate, the pool is perfect, always has sunbeds available, immaculate & clean. Pool side bar. Room service and pool side service - simply scan and use the the in-house developed app to select what you want and when you want it. Exceptional Room Service app - allows you to order everything from the menu, drinks, food, smoothies, taxis, excursions, anything you could need is in the app. The family have paid so much attention and detail to every service they can offer and make it as easy as possible for you to obtain, ensuring you can just relax and enjoy. Food - wow! Everything here is of extremely high standard, so tasty, portion sizes are big, food is always fresh, hot and delicious! We did try to persuade Mama (amazing cook/chef) to come home with us.. we're going to miss your food, enjoyed everything we had so much! My personal favourite was the Greek Pizza, but everything we tried was amazing! Breakfast - lots of choice, fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries (always changed daily, and always stunning), cooked items such as eggs, bacon, sausage (the small cocktail ones were our favourite!), Juices, coffee selection, homemade jams (these are so good), bread, cakes etc, so much choice and as you probably guessed, all so good! Rooms - we stayed in the one bedroom (plus settee bed) Tree house lodge, it literally is built on top of an Olive tree, it was amazing! Such a special place! Views are spectacular. Fully private sundeck & pool! And when I say private, it is not overseen from any angle whatsoever, it is total privacy! The rooms are fully equipped with Aircon, small fridge, ensuite bathroom with powerful shower, hairdryer, full size iron, ironing board, large windows with sliding doors and Juliet balcony, large Smart TV, netflix etc available, comfortable beds & pillows (4 pillows per bed).

There was nothing we didn't like.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying in one of the treehouses and all I can say is WOW! The room itself was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was stunning with a lovely shower. The floor to ceiling windows in the room gave us a stunning view, which included our pool, olive groves and the sea - perfect! The private pool was amazing with a large decking area around it with loungers, egg chair, and picnic table and chairs. It is incredibly private and a real retreat! The location is ideal as it is just a short walk away from the main streets and the stunning beach. To top if of the family who own the hotel are incredibly friendly, helpful and just run the most amazing hotel. I can't thank them enough for our exceptional stay and we can't wait to come back. This place was an absolute winner for us and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a first class holiday
