Our room was exceptional, very clean and comfortable. The bed was the best hotel bed I have ever slept in and I slept very well. The provision of a small fridge in our room was very welcome. The breakfast menu was very good with great options for all tastes. The hotel being decorated for Liberation Day added to the experience as this was the reason we were there. (And will return in the future.)

The lack of power points in our room was a concern. I use a CPAP machine to sleep, as there wasn't a socket near the bed I had to run an extension cable across the floor which obviously became a trip hazard. A couple of USB charging points would also have been welcome.

Most things at the hotel were of the highest standard. Most praise must go with the staff. Superb each and everyone of them. Nothing was too much trouble and they always dealt with you extremely efficiently and with a friendly smile. They were simply superb and definitely the number one reason that I would return. Breakfast was most definitely a feast and set you up well for the day.

The furniture in the room was slightly tired. I don't really want this to be construed too negatively as the room suited our stay and was immaculately clean.

It was very clean pillows too lumpy furniture and curtains very dated complimentary shower gel rather small Expensive to keep the room on 20.00 for one hour just ridiculous I paid a lot for two nights so thought there would be no charge But staff were nice the breakfast had a good selection of food did get locked out of my room at 11am which was very inconvenient The staff in the breakfast room were excellent

The pillows so lumpy Breakfast times as on New Year’s Day I was told by the staff at reception it was 10.30 then I find out it was 12 wish I would of know as I would of had it later to fit in with checking out

Staff are so helpful and ensure that we were looked after .nothing is to much trouble . Food was lovely with so much to choose from at breakfast Sara works so hard to ensure guests are kept happy by her and her staff at breakfast. Paul in the bar area works so hard to ensure his staff deliver meals and drinks to guests and he dealt with a problem we had so professionally too

Bedroom could do with face-lift as furniture is well past it's best and also the lights

Gardens. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous food and comfy beds. Lovely and quiet during the evening. Good Spa facilities.

Some pictures broken/cracked - would not have expected this for the price. Also would have expected a smart tv where screen sharing could be utilised from mobile devices and/or laptops. No plug sockets or usb ports by the bed to charge phones - only a couple by the desk. Children’s swimming times weren’t the most convenient timings if wanting to do other activities around the island and sleep in for your holiday.

Breakfast was brilliant. Room was very hot but we had a fan. Pool and spa were lovely. Staff were excellent.

Food. Victor Hugo restaurant served food that was over engineered eg coral butter, rouille foam What?! Lobster on website £27, I think I saw it once on menu at reception but was £33. The Terrace “delicious fresh food” - freshly cooked perhaps but I could most of this from good supermarkets. I ordered Caesar salad which consisted of old green leaves and a bland anchovy sauce. I did complain and was given a free dessert, I was disinclined to order another main meal.

Breakfast was exceptional so much choice and also service off the menu if required. I think the pots of coffee could be improved with a better choice of coffee. The staff are all amazing throughout the hotel.

Pillows on bed could be improved but were OK. The bedroom furniture needs upgrading lots of chips and worn tables not expected at a high quality hotel.

The staff were excellent and could not do enough for you. The breakfast was great with the choice of a buffet certain dishes cooked to order at no extra cost. The location was good with a 20 min walk into town or there is a regular bus service The swimming pool had set times for the children so personally I could avoid them We went to the New Years dinner dance and it was great. Fantastic food and the band were great

I like everything about our stay

Breakfasts were excellent. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. It was great to have a fridge in or room. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The cleaners were efficient and accommodating.

We paid extra for a balcony room with a lake/garden view, however the balcony was tiny. It only had room for one chair and the view was only partial. That was rather disappointing.

I came here few years ago and still the same. Room very nice, cosy, warm, clean and spacious. Nice choice of hot drinks. Good selection on the menu for day time and the 24/7. Enough space in car park. They don't charge the room service anymore and that it's really nice. I didn't try the restaurant during lunch and dîner unfortunately but breakfast. Good service on room service and breakfast was really good. Big various choice on everything to please everyone. Very helpful with the issue I've got for coming due to my ticket cancellation Once again I can only recommend that hotel

Small issue with room service and something during breakfast but I'm sure it's gonna be fix really quickly.
