We had a wonderful time staying at Fermain Valley. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made it a pleasure to use the bar, restaurants and tea room. The hotel is ideal for setting off on coastal walks and the bus stop is conveniently located 300 yards from the hotel. We would definitely use again and recommend the hotel to friends and family.

The pavement isn't very wide where you have to wait for the bus. Traffic passes quite close to you and there is nowhere to shelter if it's raining. However, the hotel does offer use of it's own shuttle service if you need to go into the main town.

The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, had a lovely meal at the rock restaurant although a bit expensive you definitely get what you pay for, the food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating, room was clean and bed was made daily. Loved the communication from the hotel, had email to get and give information about our stay, then a call a couple of days before our stay to check everything was ok and if need a taxi or directions to the hotel. Such a nice touch and much appreciated. We was surprised when we arrived that we was upgraded to a lovely room with views as it was our anniversary and in the room was a bottle of wine and card to wish us a happy anniversary, was such a pleasant surprise.

If you have to be negative then I would say it would be the plugs, no USB ports and we only had one plug that could be used inside of the cupboard were the kettle was plugged in, You are on the flight path so could get noisy at times but luckily at night no flights so sleep was peaceful.

Excellent and friendly service. Always tasty on-site breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu choices. Stayed in main building in a very comfortable and spacious bedroom. Natural, panorama and quiet setting apart from town with easy to access bus and taxi service around the island. A steep walk from the hotel entrance up to the main road

Buho Venue aka Annex, and Main building room accommodation and food choices were not best described online to enable a most informed decision when booking. e.g. if bedrooms because Buho restaurant and/or facing onto street likely noisier. If other food option beside Mexican menu at Buho was possible for breakfast, or if breakfast was only served at Fermain Valley main building.

Fantastic breakfast with great choice and good level of service. The Fermain location is superb and very peaceful.

Dont book in the Annex which is away from the main hotel located on the main road and above a busy restaurant. We paid for an upgrade and stayed in the main hotel and recommend room 27 28 or 29 which are the platinum rooms. The other rooms which are gold have a small balcony, there is no AC and fans in the rooms. Good Coffee and tea in the rooms.

The hotel is stunning in every way from the hotel taxi service, the stunning building, fabulous valley locution, the wonderful attentive staff who cannot do enough for you (special mention for Boris) who was just brilliant, lovely restaurants but to mention again the staff of Fermaine Valley who made me and my sister feel very looked after (courtesy champagne for my sisters 60th Birthday!) The staff genuinely seem to love what they do and are passionate about making the very best holiday experience for you.

The hotel was as described, secluded and peaceful. Excellent facilities & location Pool small but adequate and clean Food was amazing Staff all very attentive & polite

I found very little wrong Room was a bit warm with no proper air con ( had a portable machine but did not really work) or ability to open windows very far due to safety catches. But might have been me & my age !!! Better than being freezing cold I suppose. The weather was exceptionally warm for September so could not complaint really but observation.

We loved the breakfast which was included. Also the in-house restaurant the Steak House was excellent. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day and we had fresh towels every day. The hotel is also close to the town centre and airport The hotel arranged free transfer from the airport to the hotel which can be organised a day before. We would like to visit again, this time in the summer

If I’m being picky I would say I would have preferred a bigger room.

One member of our party required a strict gluten free diet. The hotel accommodated this very well. There were numerous gluten free options available including bread/cereals and muffins. This was greatly appreciated as breakfasts have been very limited at other hotels we have stayed at. We did not have any other meals at the hotel however we did have drinks in the evening and the staff were very friendly and attentive. There appeared to be a good number of staff at the hotel and it was evident that senior members were visible and overseeing the day to day running. There was a sense that the hotel was well managed.

No specific concerns. The rooms by the function suite require a short uphill walk. We were made fully aware of this before we arrived and it was not an issue for us.

The breakfast menu was the best I’ve ever experienced. Fantastic choice, ingredients and variety. Beautiful, tranquil location set amongst trees with sea views. A short walk downhill to the bay and close to bus route and St Peter’s Point a walkable distance.

Pool was closed for 2 out of 5 days because of maintenance needed over a bank holiday weekend. I was unable to book any spa treatments as fully booked and the sauna was not operational. Not the spa experience I was looking forward to.

First time we’ve actually stayed, visited many times for lunch /supper with family on the island, my aunt remembers the main building as a private house and before it became La Favourita!!!! Fabulous restaurant, even had a surprise lobster supper which the staff helped my husband organise, what a treat!!!

The pool area and outdoor space needs some relaxation sun beds, love the terraced dining, but the bottom deck lacks a ‘resident only’ outdoor space to relax. We headed back to our room in the afternoon to lie down, which was lovely, peaceful and quiet.
