The staff were wonderful - warm and welcoming.
The lack of air con and mini-bars/fridges in the rooms, especially as the sea-view rooms are south-facing and can get very hot.

The location of the hotel was magnificent and the views exceptional. The hotel was immaculately clean and well appointed and had great ambiance. All the staff were friendly and accommodating and went over and above to make sure that we had everything we needed. I stayed with my daughter and two grandsons in one of the family rooms. The accommodation was excellent, spacious, exceptionally clean and well decorated and maintained. My eldest grandson is 10 and autistic and he had the time of his life. He said it was the best hotel he had ever stayed in and couldn’t understand why it wasn’t rated as being five stars. He was particularly enamoured by the breakfast menu and made sure that he told the staff how brilliant the food was. All the staff made us feel very welcome and were lovely with the children and very helpful. The hotel manager was especially kind and understanding and went out of her way to make sure that the children felt listened to and taken care of. Thank you to all the staff for making sure that our trip away was comfortable and enjoyable.
It was exceptional in every way. We liked and appreciated everything.

We are seasoned travellers, and do not usually leave reviews, but I felt I must make an exception for Golden Sands. We loved everything about this hotel, from the wonderful location to the helpful and friendly staff who did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. All areas of the hotel were very clean and well tended and the rooms tastefully decorated. The popular and modern restaurant served delicious food and the cooked breakfasts were outstanding. In fact, we loved it so much we have already booked a return trip in September!
The only possible thing I can think of to enhance our stay further would be the addition of a mini fridge in the room. But our visit did coincide with a heatwave!

Superb hotel situation right on the beach. We stayed with two teenagers in a lovely big room. Everything about the hotel was superb. Fabulous big room with beds but also a sofa and chairs and dressing area. The staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. Breakfast is to be recommended, the full spread including continental and full plus fresh from the kitchen options all taken overlooking the beautiful beach. Parking is opposite in a public car park which felt safe and only charged from 9-5 so that wasn't an issue. We loved the location on the beach (great to have Pizza Express next door), far enough away from the town but because Jersey is tiny easy to get to everywhere.

We paid extra for a sea view room with balcony and the view is stunning and well worth having that type of room. When you wake up in the morning and hear the waves lapping it is truly magical. The rooms are very clean and the double bed (super king size) was very comfortable. The bathroom is clean and the towels are lovely and fluffy.
You get given a complimentary bottle of water which is lovely ( one bottle a day in your room) but as there is no fridge in the room, the sun had been shining on it so it was a bit warm. I would recommend you buy some additional water from the shops as the hotel does charge for any extra. It would be nice if there was a small fridge in each room.

I had a wonderful stay. The reception staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room is very comfortable, reasonable size, very comfy bed and really good shower. Very clean. Good tea selection with some biscuits. Felt right at home. The location right on the beach with beautiful views, bus stop on the doorstep and a short ride from the airport. The restaurant and bistro is also good, enjoying the beach view and friendly service. I can definitely recommend it and would love to come back.
The walls to neighbouring rooms are very thin, so if unlucky and you have noisy neighbours it could impact the overall very quiet environment.

Fantastic location on the beach. Great balcony room. Simple and clean. Lovely staff.
The dinner service was inattentive. After our order was taken, no one came back to offer dessert or more drinks. Yet there were 5 staff constantly moving about doing jobs that weren’t about customer service but getting the stock and equipment organised as they started laying for breakfast about 8.30pm. It ruined the atmosphere of the restaurant. Same for other customers. We only ate a main course as a result and had one drink. The food was lovely. No chance to taste more despite sitting for an hour after main course.

The front of house staff were amazing, knowledgable and helpful. I'd grabbed the wrong phone charger cable (USBC instead of the other one) and they were able to help with a suitable I could use plug it into. The restaurant was also lovely, the views are pretty unbeatable but the staff were also friendly and the food was also good. I was not facing the sea but the room was super quiet at night. It had everything you would expect from laundry service, room service, a safe, etc and a whole list of things you could get from the front desk if you had forgotton something like your toothbrush. It also did not have one of those annoying ventilation systems that make a constant mechanical noise, you could just open a window, use the supplied fan or turn on the heating as needed.
One minor issue, there was control with a very bright LED in the room. No way to turn it off or dim it at night and no clue what it did. An eye mask or some masking tape would sort it.

The Golden Sands Hotel is immaculate, its placement on the bay offers stunning views with a wonderful sound of the sea. I was given an upgrade to a sea view room and was delighted as I paid for a standard room with inland views (as a solo traveler from Yorkshire value for money matters). Beautiful bathroom (with bath and shower) offering ELEMIS products and soft white towels. What’s also great is the huge bed, tea and coffee available and the choice of food and drink in the restaurant (affordable and delicious coffee and cake is also great even as a passer by). The beautifully presented Guest Information holds lots of information (that you want to know) and the code for wifi is given at the reception desk by friendly staff willing to help. Golden Sands are part of the Dolan Group and have a rewards app offering up to 20% off food, drink & function (what’s not to love). The standards are high and felt spoiled. Thank you
Hearing other’s conversations and movements. I’m being picky as it’s the same in any hotel filled with people and offering balconies you want to chat on.

A beautiful stay with amazing attentive staff throughout the hotel. They were all so friendly and happy to help. The room was also cleaned to perfection. I have never been in a bathroom so spotless and great fluffy towels. Would definitely stay again. The seafront location was beautiful too you can’t get closer to the sea.
The only thing I would say was our room was very warm (it was a very hot weekend when we stayed) and the beds are a little hard for my preference .
