Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. The staff are very professional and can't do enough to help you. Plenty of parking. Lovely clean rooms. The shower head wouldn't tilt on the shower and we had to hold it to shower. We explained this to reception and when we got back in the evening the shower head and adjuster had been changed which was great. Although there isn't a swimming pool at this hotel you can use the facilities at the hotel just a short walk up the road. We didn't but it is useful to know this is available. We stayed in a family suite of 2 single beds and a double bed and there was ample room for us all. All in all very comfortable stay and walking distance to town centre and shops.

The showers aren't the most powerful and we couldn't tilt the shower head.

We had a family room for 3 of us, which was well appoints and comfortable. The breakfasts were lovely with plenty of choice and all the staff were very friendly. It was a short walk from town centre (about 20 minutes) and was normally served by bus routes (week days) although there were some diversions in place while we were there. Beds were comfy.

Overall everything was pretty good. However I am not sure it is in the hotel's control but although we were on the 3rd floor there was a lot of street noise from very early in the morning to late at night (traffic, deliveries and bottles being moved around). The room did have double glazing which helped to reduce this but it was quite stuffy with the windows closed all the time. The beds were comfy but the pillows were a little firm for me - providing a couple of soft ones to provide choice could help.

Hotel is about an easy 8 minute walk from town centre but various mini markets, coffee shops & Jersey market are on the way . We had the family room on 3rd floor. Lovely & spacious & bright. Comfortable beds, great staff they went above & beyond. It was my mums 82nd birthday & they kindly reserved us a table in the bar with a bottle of wine as a gift. The terrace is big & is great for a drink outside in the sun, same for the conservatory if it’s wet. Food was lovely in the bar, we didn’t eat in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff were all lovely, especially Nelson.

Parts of the hotel need updating.

Proximity to town centre, car parking. Good sized room. Responded to my special requests. Breakfast was good, great choice

Reception neglected to inform us that we could use the pool etc at the Monterey hotel if we would have liked. I ordered poached eggs twice which were cooked well but tasted of vinegar, if they need to be cooked in a vinegar solution perhaps they could be rinsed prior to serving. Bar staff seemed a bit surly.

The room, a suite, was very spacious & well-equipped, but a long trek from reception along several corridors & up & down stairs despite being on the first floor. Meals were very good.

The hotel is a 15/20-minute walk into the centre of town & although there's a bus stop outside the hotel, the last bus is at 6pm, so no good for going into town at night & there's no service on Sundays.

I was impressed by every member of staff who walked around with smiles on their faces and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and our stay memorable. The food was exceptional both in quality and quantity, with very reasonable prices. Our ferry was cancelled by a day & the Royal offered us a very special rate due to these circumstances.

There was nothing I could find fault with, if I had to I would simply say the hotel was a little way out form the centre but even that was fine for us as we like to walk.

Good location, well presented, great staff & food.

I found the pillows uncomfortable & on our last morning I only wanted some scrambled eggs on toast & coffee but I had to pay full breakfast price. There was no way I could eat £17.60 worth of eggs, toast & coffee. I know with lots of guests it’s hard to break things down but I felt I could have just paid the continental breakfast price.

Nice room, not super large but bigger than a lot of UK hotel rooms, which are generally miserably small. Staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

I had to lug my suitcase up and down a lot of stairs. Although there is a lift, it didn't take me to my room. This old hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren. Breakfast is overpriced so I didn't partake.

Central location, good room size, plenty of storage space, sizeable bathroom with good shower and bath, staff friendly and helpful, good breakfast, room opening onto roof terrace

Room was rather warm and difficult to regulate room temperature to a comfortable level for sleeping

Family room this time was very good. Bathroom good. Staff helpful. Access to gym and pool was offered but not used as no time, however I would have if I’d had time.

Double bed small and a little uncomfortable. Access to bus station and harbour a long walk with suitcases. Although df gf options for breakfast were available and staff helpful. Was limited. Only soya milk (no oat) no berries/banana or granola or seeds for porridge so limited choice.
