Nice hotel, a little dated in parts. There wasn't a lift direct to our room which was a problem as we had a heavy bag. However the staff brought it to the room for us. Nice pool area. Our room was large. We booked a room with a balcony. Unfortunately it overlooked the front of the hotel, but it was OK. The layout of the room is a bit odd and doesn't make use of the space. The bed was small. But it was great that we had a good fridge. Sockets for phone charger were very hard to reach. Bathroom had a strange odour and we kept the door shut. Breakfast was good, typical food offered, nothing amazing but good enough. The location of this hotel is very good as its only a ten minute walk to the main bus station, from where you can explore the island.

A bit dated. More sockets. No lift to our room. Some of the bar staff were rude.

Location with a bus stop just opposite the hotel. Lovely, welcoming helpful and informative staff. Loved the breakfast room and the music each day. Great ambiance and happy, friendly staff. Great room in quiet area and wonderful comfortable beds. Hotel in need of an update in certain areas. ( walk in showers needed. Loved the foyer, entrance, private relaxing pool area. Def look at staying here again and recommend it to friends. Breakfast freshly cooked on request were delicious. Evening meals good too.

Towels in the bathroom were too small and needed renewing. Very difficult to climb into quite a deep bath for the overhead shower. Breakfast had fresh fruit but the fresh fruit salad bowls with tinned pears and peaches were not very appealing with all fresh produce that could be used.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are all very friendly and courteous. My room was one with a jacuzzi, loads of room, in fact the room was a lot bigger than I expected. Breakfast was fine, buffet style, some reviews state the cooked breakfast was cold, however I did not find this to be the case, and no different to some of the larger branded hotels on the island. The staff in the breakfast room are on the ball and constantly checking that the bacon/eggs/sausages etc are topped up. Didnt use the bar or restaurant at night so unable to review it other than to say it was exceptionally clean and posh. The pool area is very clean and is a sun trap when the afternoon sun is on it. Tip - if travelling in a car / hire car, probably better to book direct with the hotel as parking at the hotel is free when booked direct, if via a third party it is £5 per night parking.

I have tried hard to think of something that I didnt like. The fridge in my room was not as cold as I would have liked and is probably ready for a new one, but that is me being very petty.

This is the second time I've stayed here this year. It really is a cut above other places that I've stayed at. The staff are really helpful; the hotel is clean and oozes quality. The breakfast is buffet style with a wide variety. They made poached eggs for me every morning when I asked as it was fried eggs on the buffet, which is not my preference. It's great the be able the just help yourself to what you like for breakfast. It's only about 5-10mins walk into town, depending on how quickly you walk. There is a very small gym here but it was adequate for me. Also, I ordered food at night to take to my room; it was reasonably priced and lovely too. It's ideal for me as it's a 15 min walk from my friend here in Jersey. It's always consistent at The Savoy. I always sleep well here too which is a plus for me. I can't wait to return.

Breakfast was superb , replenished often and very hot . Location was a bit of a walk to Liberation Square and the centre , which was 10-15 minutes . We were very impressed with the pool and terrace area which we thought was excellent !

Slightly surprised at there being no air conditioning , the fan which we found in the wardrobe was very welcome , imagine in height of the summer it would be very hot in the rooms . Slight niggle at breakfast was the distinct lack of paper or extra serviettes , the plates were extremely hot to pick up which was great but difficult at the same time . This was a very small observation , the food and breakfast service was really great .

Breakfast - excellent selection. Everything you could want! Room - very clean & comfortable. Beds super comfy. Room quiet. Pool & Gym - really nice to sit around the pool in the sunshine. Gym was a great bonus. Chamber maid very helpful in changing our pillows as the ones we had were very flat!

Curtains in the room were too short for the window which made the room very light and woke us up very early. Reception staff on arrival seemed very frosty and not welcoming The weather was lovely so we wanted to enjoy our evening meal outside on the terrace. Thus didn’t seem to be the norm but allowed us to do it reluctantly. Not sure why this isn’t automatic. I was charged £12 for 2 lime and sodas! A large glass of white wines be half a larger was £11 - didn’t make any sense and felt a big ripped off!

Great array of food for breakfast. Staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. The hotel is lovely and clean with a lovely bar/ lounge area. It is ideally situated for going in to town- it's easy to walk there and not very far. Room was lovely and warm, even if the decor was dated; the shower/ bathroom was modern. I really enjoyed it and will stay there again. Steve.

The kettle in my room didn't work and I should have reported it but I didn't, so that's my fault. The gym was very small with little equipment in it, so I didn't use it but it won't stop me staying there again.

Breakfast was excellent, and the waiting staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.

The bar staff were cold and unfriendly. I never saw any of the smile, one bar staff member was quite rude when we asked to charge our drinks to our room. We were told in a very aggressive manner to go to the reception desk or pay immediately. This WASN’T made clear by the reception staff when we checked in. His rudeness was uncalled for. Then within earshot and sight of us he was criticizing us to his superior. This one incident put a negative feeling on us and it was the result of you not getting all excellents in our review.

It is a very lovely hotel with a great location. Full of British history, would be great to visit in the summer

The room we stayed in had evaporation on the inside of the frame, so you couldn't see outside. Maintenance to the room has been long forgotten, and some of the wall mounted items were hanging on their last breath. I guess if the rooms have wall paper, you would like to just refresh the glue. And eggs, even in February it was like an Easter egg hunt to just have breakfast. I would say that there is little choice for people who are vegetarian or don't eat pork.

Friendly staff, comfortable room and getting the discount for dinner in the restaurant was a great perk. Good breakfast selection too. Super location 15min walk from St Helier bus station, and having a bus stop outside the hotel. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Also liked the notice board advising of our flights departure time in the foyer area.

If I was being picky, as there is nothing much not to like I would say maybe a bottle of small water in the room each day would be a good addition, rather than just on your arrival day.
