The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was superb! The swimming pool, hot tub and the grounds were beautifully kept. The courtesy bus was a great bonus. The evening entertainment was good.

Birds in cages! And far too many all packed in together. Big sad face! I booked this hotel primarily for the swimming pool and hot tub, but be aware if you're staying over the weekend the hotel is open to non residents that take over the grounds on both days. Any chance of having a nice swim without getting jumped on is impossible as is using the hot tub in peace! Or even using it all. Non residents eating chips and drinking beer in there all afternoon. Hotels bedroom was a bit dated and the enamel was chipping off in the bath.

This was our first visit to Jersey. We travelled by car/ferry, so parking was important, this hotel as it has ample parking. We looked at other options, but parking was limited/not guaranteed. The hotel provides a courtesy bus to St Helier (10 mins) and the island bus service for return or elsewhere is excellent. Our room, overlooking the gardens and pool was great. Some older reviews suggested the decor was tired/jaded, this was not our experience, so refurbishment looks to have taken place. The Hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly, they made us feel very welcome. Food in the restaurant was very good, as were the bar snacks, as we prefer to eat early afternoon. The gardens are very well kept, with birds and squirrels visiting frequently. We had no issues at all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so will definitely stay there again.

A thoroughly lovely stay! The hotel is a lovely example of good old fashion hospitality with an incredibly warm, friendly welcoming team who are so happy to go above and beyond. From arrival to my departure I enjoyed the hotels facilities, the food and beverage offer and the quiet yet convenient location. The rooms are clean, well appointed and the beds are comfy. Special shout out to Annette, Felix and Austin. I enjoyed watching the hotel owner chatting with guests -clearly everyone at the Westhill enjoys theirs jobs. Pool was excellent, heated to about 20 degrees c i think (just going by how it felt) it felt cool to get in but not cold, and was comfortable to swim for ages without getting too hot or too cold. There were also hot tubs for guest use which were lovely. The gardens are beautiful and the aviary was very interesting too, the parrot is funny and likes to shout random noises >< Just generally a really nice vibe, very peaceful and seems geared to an older clientele (perhaps why it was so warm!) but everyone, staff and guests alike, were friendly and relaxed. All the staff i encountered were super lovely. The bedrooms were a bit too warm at times, but this was easily fixed by leaving windows open for a while, i ended up leaving them open all the time and curtains closed during the day. The location was nice but a bit out of the way. It's up a big hill from town and most of the buses, though there were one or two that came nearby.

Immaculate rooms. Staff were perfection. All there staff from front of house to the cleaners were so helpful, polite and friendly and are a credit to the hotel. It’s a little dated but that to me isn’t important. The rooms were well equipped with everything you needed. Pool, hot tub. Food were impeccable and really very well priced. It’s about 2 miles from st Helier but don’t let that put you off. Buses every hour and taxis on tap. Would highly recommend

The only thing that I thought could have been better was a more modern and powerful hair dryer but it had one so it’s not really a dislike

The staff were lovely, the room was a good size and kept well cleaned, the grounds were beautiful, the evening entertainment was fun, the lawn games were good, the pool was fab, the Breakfast was well organised and delicious and Miguel was an excellent waiter. The location was perfect.

One of the bunk bed mattresses was a bit uncomfortable. The snack menu was a bit pricey but that's typical of Jersey. I would have liked more evening meal options apart from the set menu.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to cater to your need's. The whole hotel is very clean and well kept, and the pool and gardens are lovely and tranquil. I felt very safe there, and would love to come back. Thank you to all the staff for making our break a pleasurable one.

The shower over the bath. It was difficult to get the right temperature and leaked onto the floor. A walk in shower would be far better. Other than that everything was very good.

We travelled as a small elderly rambling group, planning to spend most days walking on the island. I think it's fair to say everyone had a really great time and praised the hotel, which seemed to be very well-managed. The hotel is in a peaceful location on the edge of St Helier, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a large pool. We were staying on a half-board basis and the food was varied and excellent. The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. Without exception the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a superb large outdoor heated pool where most of us relaxed in the afternoon after being out walking, and it was pretty quiet most of the time. Entertainment was provided on several evenings in the shape of singers, quizzes and movies, some of which was quite good, but as we were fairly tired by that time we weren't too interested. I was a bit concerned about transport arrangements at the hotel as we were relying on public transport to get around, however we had no problems. The hotel runs a shuttle bus into town at 10 am, and if it's full they simply run more trips. The local bus service is extremely reliable, extensive and cheap, and we navigated our way round the island with no difficulty (the no.19 bus stops outside the hotel and the no. 5 bus stops about 5 minutes walk away). It would have been useful if the hotel ran a shuttle bus into town a bit earlier (say 0930).

Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Good, varied choice througout our week. Waiting staff attentive and friendly. Would recommend. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool so never a problem finding somewhere to relax.

Room was very clean, but we found the pillows hard. Unfortunately the weekend was spoilt by a BBQ event, which apparently is a regular booking throughout the summer. Non residents took over the pool area including any number of children who were basically running riot with absolutely no parental, or indeed, staff control. This behaviour prevented residents from using the pool and hot-tubs as it was full of mis-behaving children. If the hotel wish this event to continue then surely they should make a greater effort to avoid potential accidents as well as give more consideration to their paying residents.

I like the buffet style breakfast arrangement, as my husband and I are not keen on a full English breakfast. The pool was a definite bonus. It was lovely to sit by and relax and read a book. The hotel grounds and gardens are beautifully kept. Nice to walk around after the evening meal. All the hotel staff, from reception, bar staff, waiters, to housekeeping were all very friendly, polite and helpful.

The bed was a little hard and pillows were a little thin and hard. I usually take my own pillow with me when I travel as I have neck issues, but didn't on this occasion.
