The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is spot on overlooking Liberation Square - 1 minute to bus station which we used all the time as getting on at the starting point you always got on - in the summer this is important as further down the route maybe not so lucky. Close to the main shopping area, also right opposite harbour and liberation square which has restaurant, cafes etc. Also inside walkway was a M&S Food and a Matalan - as well as other shops. Rooms not big but had everything in them and super. Cleanliness was very good and they couldn't be more helpful if we wanted anything. Able to securely leave our bags in room at reception when left so we could have day around town before leaving. Breakfast overlooking Liberation Square was excellent - buffet style and great selection. Cafe bistro we used one evening which we were so full afterwards! Ate in Bistro one night which is part of the hotel the food was excellent. Short 15 minutes walk to get the amphibious duck over to Elizabeth Castle which is great fun or wait for low tide to walk over on path to castle. Views from there fabulous. Must visit castle at Gorey Point at climb at least some of the 200 steps for outstanding views. Five mile beach on west coast is a long long stretch of stunning almost deserted beach - worth a drive along and stop at bunker and take photos of bay and visit Jersey Pearl. St Brelades beach is horseshoe shaped so more sheltered and is the most popular swimming beach - surrounded by cafe restaurants toilets etc overlooking beach. Bus pass £35 a week. Well worth it - we used all the time - very very helpful in the bus station as staff full of tourist information and helped us enormously. Used 24 buses all over island. People all so friendly and helpful. Photos are selection from hotel and St Helier to Aubin bay with Elizabeth castle and also St Brelades bay and the view from castle at Gorey Point.

Happy with it all.

I loved everything about my stay here. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and very attentive to my needs. Some of the staff remembered our previous conversations. For me, this showed they remember and care for their residents. The wonderful housekeepers also kept a high standard when it came to cleaning the rooms daily and the rooms far exceeded my expectations. Compared to other hotels I've stayed in when visiting Jersey, this is by far the best. If staying, you must visit the Porter's Store - intimate environment and very good cocktails. I know where I will be staying the next time I visit!!!

There was nothing I didn't like about the stay. Although it's slightly on the expensive side (from what I'm normally used to), this luxurious stay was value for money.

Superb location, well maintained room and common areas, clean and comfortable. The meals in the bar were very good. The staff were all excellent.

Administration could have been better (for example, my booking had come through under my middle name instead of my surname; we paid on arrival for breakfast each day but the restaurant had not been informed by the first morning). The room was on the fifth floor, which was disappointing (although there were lifts). It was also quite small for an executive room. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable but limited for the price (no fish, for example).

WE had stayed at Pomme d'Or previously and were aware of its excellence in all departments. The breakfasts were excellent. The staff especially Reception, Dining room and domestic staff were superb.

It was our mistake to assume that we were leaving a day later and I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Despite our mistake the staff especially Reception were very helpful and I apologise for the speed of our departure without expressing our thanks. (We left the hotel to find a taxi with under an hour to catch our flight!!.

The staff were all exceedingly polite and helpful. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable and the wardrobe had plenty of hangers. There was a very generous choice of food at breakfast and dinner.

My friend and I are both quite elderly. We took the lift up to the first floor to get to our rooms, but then found we had to carry our suitcases down three steps and up on departure date which we had not expected. My room was too warm even though I set the air-conditioning to 16 degree C. The quilt on the bed was too thick for my liking and I had real difficulties unhooking the shower head.

The location was ideal for the objectives of our visit; the assistance we got locally was most helpful; there was almost total relaxation; information on what to visit and methods of transport were plentiful.

For a 4star hotel the internet provisions were almost non-existent; claim was made that this was five star! WiFi was initially received but as soon as you searched the internet, reception ceased. When the staff on duty were questioned the problem was described as being so because we were staying on the 5th floor and therefore the router involved was probably receiving a weak signal.

Excellent location- opposite the main bus terminal which meant that you could easily travel around the island. It was also right next to the main shopping area- which also had plenty of great places to eat and drink. The breakfast was superb- we enjoyed the vast array of options- which included both continental, cooked as well as healthy options and plenty of fruit. It was lovely to be seated by the window overlooking the harbour- which we did most mornings. Nothing was too much trouble and I really liked that the room got cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The room was spotlessly clean- and had tea/coffee making facilities and plenty of storage for your clothes. It was great to have plenty of hangers!! The shower was lovely and powerful too. We also thought the bar/restaurant opposite reception was very good and great value for money- with very decent sized portions. The staff were all very friendly and the cakes and cocktails were fabulous!

It was central, our room was quiet, the beds were comfortable, the staff were all cheerful, efficient and helpful, the lifts were quick and quiet and we felt totally relaxed whilst there.

Only one minor blip on our first morning, there was a long queue for tables at breakfast and we had to wait for nearly 30 mins to be seated. We have never experienced this ever before.

Room was a good size and very clean comfortable

I was offered an upgrade for my 2 week stay which i thought was a really lovely gesture til I was told I would have to pay for it. I was there for 2 weeks during low season. Also I had breakfast in the cafe downstairs. The menu states that the Vegetarian breakfast involved mushrooms. When I received the meal there was 1/2 a field mushroom when I challenged this a big white plate was delivered to me with the other 1/2. I did laugh but really! thats quite poor Lack of parking is not good but we did manage to get round that.

Central and good for travelling on public transport. Room very clean . Staff are all lovely. Porters store .

No outside space for guests in sunny or dull weather, to relax to read a book, or for a coffee/drink after a day exploring. The general/public bar is an enclosed public cafe. The Lounge bar is a very old fashioned internal lobby. No music and very stuffy ( in every sense)! We were amazed, especially as it’s a great location on liberation square, with great marina views from the first floor! Seriously! I’ve no idea why this hotel isn’t configured better.
