We loved our stay so much last year that we decided to go back. We had another wonderful few days and everything was of the same high standard as it had been. Staff are very accommodating and make sure you have the perfect stay. We went on lovely clifftop/beach walks, all easily accessible from the hotel. The spa facilities are great and usually not too many people using them except one evening when the pool was used for an aqua aerobics session.

The only minor disappointment was the change in options on the room service menu. Last time there was a really yummy veggie salad made with fake chicken but nothing like it on offer this year apart from a veggie burger :-(

Everything from location to comfort

My daughters 18th birthday breakfast was spoilt Last morning here as Unfortunately there was a private function night before therefore when asked if her grand mother could be added on to join us at breakfast the receptionist refused because of the function, I find it hard to believe one more person couldn’t of been accommodated for so this left a rather bitter ending to what would of been a perfect 18th birthday celebration weekend

The hotel in st Brelades bay way perfect, location could not have been better. We had a sea view with exceptional viewing of the sea front, the hotel was beautifully presented, room was beautiful and spacious, with everything we needed for our stay, breakfast was a varied breakfast with a choice of cereals, fruit and cooked items. The staff were always helpful and accommodating with a smile on their face, nothing was too much effort. Lovely little touches when the bed was turned down for the evening, bottled water was placed by the bed and a little chocolate placed on the pillows. Everywhere was clean and lots of lovely touches. We will be returning next year as it was such a beautiful place to get away.

Nothing at all

The staff were exceptional whatever their role. It made the holiday. Always there when you needed anything and so efficient. I had a balcony room on the first floor for a week. It was so comfortable. Fridge with water and milk each day, a safe and air con. Everything at hand that you needed. The view was lovely. The bed was really comfortable and the cleanliness outstanding. The breakfast choice was really good with a buffet of English Breakfast plus cereal etc etc. plus an option for something different on the menu if wanted and included in the price. The service was brilliant everywhere in the hotel. There was ample parking, some in front of the hotel and a hotel overflow car park across the road so never any trouble parking. The indoor pool looked inviting but I didn’t try that or the spa facilities etc. I would definitely stay again.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. From the first moment, it was clear that the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and enjoyed working at the hotel. Our room with balcony had stunning views out to sea, a big comfy bed and a spacious bathroom. Coffee and tea facilities with fresh Jersey milk provided each day, plus robes and slippers were welcome touches. The breakfasts were delicious and catered for all dietary needs. The spa was one of the nicest I have been to and, as it was low season, never too busy at all. The gym was small but again, due to low season, never crowded and had a good range of equipment. We went on some beautiful walks right from the door of the hotel (Corbiere lighthouse and all the way to St.Helier) and for those wanting public transport, there's a once an hour bus stop right outside or more frequent buses 10 minutes up the hill. I don't know that the area would be so enjoyable in high season but we'd definitely like to return for a long, relaxing weekend at this hotel again one day. I'd highly recommend L'Horizon and would like to say a big thank you to Samantha, Charlotte, Tony, Anna, Adi and all the other staff who made this such a memorable stay.

Can't think of anything negative at all!

Superb choice for breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. I particularly liked the spa facilities and lovely helpful staff. It was wonderful to have a dip in the indoor pool, jacuzzi, followed by time in the steam, and sauna room before finally heading for an exhilarating dip in the beautiful bay, only a short walk from the spa.

Unfortunately a fire alarm went off in the early hours of my final morning - it was very dIsprientating and scary and I didn't find out until I asked the next day what had happened. It would have been good to have had some reassurance at some point - that said, it was good to know the alarm serves it purpose!

The staff were all exceptionally friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the amenities were great. Loved the fact that there was a carton of Jersey milk in the fridge and a constant supply of Walkers shortbread biscuits! Plenty of choice at breakfast, especially enjoyed the French toast! The location was superb, right on the beach, perfect for cold water swims and then you could just hop into the indoor pool afterwards. I highly recommend on splashing out and staying in this hotel.

The room balcony and outside windowsills need a lick of paint, fair bit of rust from the sea water.

The breakfasts were excellent apart from Saturday when the plates were cold the egg had no yolk the bacon was like only slightly . warm. In fact it was dreadful. I told a waitress who was trying to help but I had leave as had an appointment. So did not take it any further. The staff were exceptional helpful kind and thoughtful. You should be very proud of them. Apart from who ever was on the cooking on Saturday morning in the buffet breakfast area. Over all the staff were great. There were two weddings the first was noisy but finished relatively early the second had fireworks and while guests were advised about it they were not advised about the fireworks. My daughter has a 6 year old girl and the fireworks caused her to be very frightened waking her with a start. Her husband has PTSD from his time serving in Afghanistan and it caused serious distress as it was not expected. When my daughter rang reception they apologised but thst was not good enough. The fireworks were in areas where children were and to be subbenky awoken by bangs caused long sleepless nights which could hsve been avoided if it had mean made known.

Location excellent and a beautiful view of the beach and sea .The staff were absolutely fantastic and I would say that it was the best hotel that I have stayed in . Far better than the Hilton hotel . Food was excellent at breakfast and restaurant and bar .

The bathroom could have been better as we are and elderly couple . However the hotel is upgrading next year . We could find no fault anywhere in the hotel .

Fantastic view and very comfortable room. The location was the best location on the Island. Breakfast was very good as well, not the buffet per se, but the à la carte menu (included) was really tasty. The staff was very friendly and accomodating!

The hotel is clearly in need of a renovation: there was some mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, the flooring in the corridors was very used, the jacuzzi and pool were in need of an update as well. But the service, view and location compensated a lot!
