The location has beautiful views and is close to the airport (about 15 minutes taxi) and local amenities. The manager was really helpful with advice (his English was fluent) and he helped us with our bags to the bus stop the next day. The room was lovely, clean and great for our family. We were only staying for a layover but seeing how beautiful Hong Kong is made us want to stay for longer.

I don’t remember it being clear on the initial accommodation website that taxis or buses wouldn’t take you all the way to the accommodation. Once booked we received a notification about the walk from the closest road to the accommodation. It wasn’t far, but with two children and suitcases it was difficult and hot! However, I would make the decision again just be aware of the 5-minute walk from the road.

Complete change from Central HK, surrounded by greenery, and you can hear some wildlife. Only a short walk to the bus stop $3.7 to get to Tung Chung with the shoos and cable car, from there the S1 bus goes to the airport every 10 minutes fir another $3.7

Far enough out of the city that there are mosques

The location is a good compromise between airport and Lantau island coast to explore the neighborhood. Terry was very helpful in all aspects of local travel planning. The room was very clean and it was very quiet. Outside or in a locked kitchen room there was a refridgerator available. The 7 minute walkway to the guesthouse is well described and with sufficient signs, the walk way is solid beton and suitcases roll very nicely. You can see some local plants and hear some frogs. Transportation with taxi worked perfectly, there are also some bus lines nearby. I will consider my stay again.

What you need to know in advance, there is a shoe self at the entrance. But we found a solution on that. Mosquitos stayed away during my stay, but might be different at other times.

My intention with this trip was to see more of Hong Kong’s natural landscape, with 1 or 2 day trips to Central/Kowloon. This guesthouse was the perfect home base for my plans, as it is close to mountains and hiking trails, yet ALSO to buses which can take you to the MTR. Terry (the host) shared ample information about transportation around Lantau Island, and he also suggested some local destinations that were not part of my original agenda. I followed up on these and his recommendations greatly enhanced my trip. The guesthouse itself is very clean, with a lovely garden and fish ponds. It was nice to have access to a kitchen.

There is quite a bit of construction near the guesthouse right now, but Terry provided a very detailed breakdown of how to navigate it and I didn’t have any issues getting into the green belt area. (Might be more challenging if you have a lot of luggage)

Close to the airport on the greenbelt, so very quiet with fabulous views of the mountains and city. Terry went out of his way to help me. I didn't realise there was a walk to the property, and Terry offered to meet me and help with my bag. At the end, he took my bag to the road for me and rang a cab. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you, Terry. I'll be back!

Its very cozy, feels like im at home. The owner was really nice and friendly, very willing to guide us around and also open to helping us when we needed. It was nice that the area was quiet, perfect for backpacking. All the necessities are also provided and the owner also provided different coloured cups for the 4 of us which we felt was very thoughtful of him

We didn’t know it was quite outskirt, its a distance away from the MTR. You also have to walk in as no cab is allowed into the area. But this is definitely our fault as we didn’t check

we spent 5 nights in City Oasis after travelling for a month. The perfect retreat after a busy time. Beautiful location in the forest with fruit trees, banana ,papaya etc around. About a 5 minute walk to good bus connections. We had a lovely room with a good balany...amazing views. The host Terry was always on hand and gave us loads of info and suggestions if where we should go everyday.There is a kitchen which you can use with toaster, kettle microwave. Tea, coffee and drinking water available.. Easy to get to and from airport and connections to rest of Hong Kong . couldn't recommend this hotel more

An uncommon find for Hong Kong! Spacious room with private balcony, rooftop terrace, kitchen, possibility to do laundry. The guesthouse is at the edge of Tung Chung, in a small village surrounded by lots of green nature. I liked the part of town (the estates) that were in walking distance; nice local markets and shops/restaurants. Plenty options for taking a bus somewhere on the island or go hiking right from the guesthouse. I stayed 4 nights and could have easily stayed longer without getting bored. Friendly owner who likes to give advice on places to go or a friendly chat.

Terry, the site manager is very helpful and pleasant to deal with. He provided all the taxi, bus and info needed to experience the island and get back to the airport. The place is very clean and comfortable. I had a very good view of the city from 3A. There is also a comfortable area to relax downstairs with kitchen and the option to cook outside. It is also relatively close to the airport. Overall, one of the better places I have stayed to have everything you need to explore and then relax. Thanks Terry

I know that this cannot be helped. I am only mentioning it so that those with lesser strength or issues with legs etc will know. Taxis cannot deliver you directly to the property. A 10 min walk is required. This walk does get long over several days. Especially, after exploring the island all day.

The house was in a beautiful natural location. It was about 10 minute walk down a cement path to a village with no cars. The guesthouse was truly an oasis, surrounded by greenery and birds. Both the balcony of my room and the rooftop area gave wonderful views of the surrounding beauty. Terry kept the place impeccably clean and orderly. There was a well equipped kitchen that I used to make breakfast and sometimes a small dinner. Terry was super helpful, providing ideas of places to go and how to get there. His maps of the area and the public transportation were welcome for a solo traveler trying to get around Lantau Island. It was a perfect base to explore the area. I hiked on the trail from the guest house, which was wonderful. And took public transportation to see the big Buddha and the fishing villages. There are some restaurants and a grocery store in the housing complex near the trail to the guesthouse so everything was in walking distance.
