The hotel had great wellness facilities available to guests as part of the cost of staying; thermal pools and swimming pools. The pool buildings and gardens are beautiful. All services at the hotel were exceptionally well ordered and organised, with every detail well thought through for comfort, convenience, and practicality. While the hotel was busier on Fri/Sat/Sun, it didn't feel too much (at this time of year)... although I expect it gets very busy during high season and holidays. The evening meal buffet was hearty, healthy, and tasty. The range of choices was good. Breakfasts are fine, with everything you need, except proper tea! (Bring your own with you to avoid a shock). Lots of Hungarian food, some Italian, plenty of salads, fruits, cheese, cold cuts etc... I didn't have any wine, but the bar and restaurant sell a vast selection, including lots of local varieties. While English did not seem to be widely spoken at the hotel, reception staff were fluent, signage included English, and otherwise, it was easy enough to manage. Staff were very helpful, and you can muddle through most situations. The room I stayed in was very clean, comfortable, and a good size. I believe my room was upgraded, and I was grateful for that, and the birthday gift left for me was a kind gesture. Included were towling robes and plenty of towels for use in the pools. The hotel is not stingy with all the extras that make everything easy. There is also a good-sized clothes drying rack on the balcony, which I used all the time after being in and out of the pools. The thermal lake is a 10/15 minute easy stroll away. This is a wonderful experience.

There was nothing I didn't like.

My stay at Hotel Carbona in Hungary was nothing short of delightful. Furthermore, my room was a haven of comfort and cleanliness, with a delightful balcony. The attention to maintaining high standards of cleanliness truly enhanced the overall experience. The option to select the softness of one's pillow from the brochure exemplified the hotel's attention to detail and commitment to guest comfort. In summary, my stay at Hotel Carbona was a truly wonderful experience. From the tranquil ambiance to the delectable dining options, personalized amenities, and impeccable room quality, it exceeded my expectations in every aspect. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and indulgent retreat in Hungary.

While my room was a haven of comfort and cleanliness, I couldn't help but wish it was a bit larger. Additionally, one aspect that presented a challenge was the predominant use of the German language by the staff. For guests who do not understand German, such as myself, communication was occasionally difficult.

Facilities are good, nice selection of thermal baths. The food was simply amazing and I will defo go back.

There is no flexibility around check in, we had no traffic on motorways travelling through Austria and managed to be there at midday, 2 hours ahead of the check in (2pm check in) we had to wait bang on to 2pm to get the keys to our room. There could be a bit more understanding and flexibility from the staff, especially if you pay for the premium room.

Above my expectations, really. I guess, I was one of the youngest there among 50-70 year olds. But I enjoyed it a lot. Hot springs with cure thermal waters, facilities, employees, cafes - all very much. Especially for the low price one pays. The room with a round bed is comfy and cozy. Restaurant service is top. The food choose is also very impressive.

You know, me personally, I would appreciate to have some spa&recreation manager for helping to book/choose massages and treatments. May be at reception, May be via WhatsApp or some application. It took me some time to understand how everything works and it was hard to understand the medical facilities: which services and treatments would be beneficial for me, what does what, and how to book it.

The hotel was very nice and the staff super friendly. The SPA facilities were well-maintained. The room was spacious and we enjoyed having a balcony. The food options were excellent. The hotel is close to lake Balaton, which was great for a day trip.

The salt room could be upgraded.

Everything was just great. The food was delicious, the spa was incredible, the staff in the hotel was nice and friendly. We only spoke English, but that was not a problem. We plan to come back as soon as possible.

1. Visit to the doctor - is for money , while we dont need in it at all . We've just needed the carboxy terapy., but this year its another doctor And noone !!!! include our gid Ilona told us about two different doctors 🫤 The first Doctor just ask us "what you what in terapy"? And nothing else. And it costs 12900forint . ??? Do you think its correct? Whats the mission of the doctor ? 2. Ilona - she is aggressive, unfriendly, not client oriented. Its not just our opinion , uff Unfortunately Ilona also make the image of the hotel, and its not positive, its awful ( For all your guests - from the Ukrain, Moldova, Russia

I like all the thermal pools in the hotel, I love the interior design of the whole hotel, it's really beautiful and calming and I felt very good there (which is quite rare because I am a sensitive person). I also appreciate the "pillow menu" and the fact that our room was very quiet (after we figured out that it's better to switch off the air con for the night because it was making a slight but distinguishable noise). The whole hotel is also rather quiet (which I was happy about), but maybe it was because we were there after the main season. Not everyone from the personnel spoke English, but there was always someone around who did, so it wasn't a problem. Overall, I will gladly visit again if a chance occurs.

The parking fee. It's really weird to pay for parking at a four-star hotel, but it seems to be the case with all hotels in Heviz.

The thermal zones are very comfortable. We’ve impressed by the swimming pool and sauna oasis. All facilities there are recently renovated and excellent. The water in the pool is clean and very balanced disinfected.

The service at all. The staff at almost every points was very unhelpful and not cooperative. We received very bad service at dinner time. Most of the staff don’t speak English and the order experience was horrible. Even though we indicated on the menu what wine and food (from the a la cart menu) we wanted, several times they brought us different things.
