Although Hotel Tisa has a lower rating on Google, our stay was truly wonderful and deserves a better rating. Cleanliness and tidiness were top-notch, and while the rooms were smaller, they were very comfortable and warm, which was important to us during our stay. The bathroom heater was very useful for drying towels and bathrobes, which was a significant bonus. The hotel boasts beautiful architecture with high ceilings, creating an impressive and charming ambiance. The breakfast room is definitely the highlight of the hotel—spacious and with a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast itself was standard for Szeged, but the service was excellent. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. The surrounding area has received mixed reviews due to its proximity to a disco, and some mentioned drunken individuals. However, we noticed that most of them were just young people having fun. The acoustics in the hotel were excellent, and we were not disturbed by any outside noise. For the price we paid with the Genius 3 discount, the hotel offered great value for money. The service and comfort exceeded our expectations, and the historic charm of the hotel made it a memorable stay. We will definitely choose Hotel Tisa again for its warmth, friendly staff, and unique character. We highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience a beautiful, well-preserved historic hotel with soul!

The location was the best thing about this hotel. It is in the center, within walking distance from all of the sites, just around the corner from Ana Thermal Baths. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was basic, but fulfilling. Lots of parking places next to hotel (paid parking).

The hotel needs some freshening up. Seems like an old hotel that's lost it's glory. The rooms were quite basic, but the mattress was comfortable. The carpets in the room should be washed. Breakfast is served until 9am on weekdays. All in all, we were satisfied and will stay here next time we're in Szeged.

It was amazing. The hotel is a very beautiful building in the city centre. We paid around 50 euros for the room and you have plenty of parking in front of it (Free on the weekend and weekdays is free from 18:00 until 08:00) . The girl in the reception was very friendly and even gave us a map of the attractions in the city. The breakfast was a buffet which was included and you had a lot of options to choose from.

The only down part was the payment for the dog which was a bit pricey (12 extra euros).

Great location. Tasty breakfast, served on the first floor in the hall of mirrors. Receptionists and kitchen staff very kind and helpful. Each bed has two pillows - small and big. Heating and wi fi worked alright. Very nice lobby. Free parking just outside the hotel from 6PM until 8AM on workdays, otherwise HUF650/h.

On arrival, we noticed the soap dispenser was nearly empty, a toilet paper roll had been previously used and someone's hairs were both on the sheets and in the bathroom. Children aged 4 and above are charged as adults (I know it's hotel's policy, but I think it's not fair).

Hotel Tisza is situated in the very centre of Szeged. It is an impressive building with all facilities. The staff is very helpful and responsive. The room was spacious enough for three persons. There is a very well regulated air-conditioning system.The bath is recently renovated. Linen and towels were very clean. The breakfast is very good.

During the first day of our stay there was a variety of foodstuffs served at breakfast. Maybe because there were more visitors. On the second day diversity was reduced. More fresh fruit is needed. Juices were relatively good.

Very clean, good breakfast, spacious room. Location is amazing, right in city center next to the main pedestrian street, lots of restaurants in the vicinity.

There was no parking space in the hotel garage. On my previous stay the receptionist told me there is no special procedure for reserving a parking space, just come, park inside and pay at the reception. Hiwever, this time I found out I should have called/emailed about a parking spot reservation. Luckily I found a place right in front of the entrance. Very bad surprise considering I was traveling with a full car and I would have preferred the safety of a hotel garage.

Great price, excellent breakfast, amazing location. Quiet, convenient, and affordable. The hotel is in an old, (probably) 19th century building, with tall ceilings, lots of mirrors, and everything is decorated in that old style. And they keep it very clean indeed! Highly recommended if you are not overly demanding and pampered.

I don't consider myself very spoiled, so there really wasn't much for me not to like at the Tisza hotel.

Everything was perfect! Easy check-in, the room was small but sufficient for a 2-night stay, it was clean, there were always enough free parking spaces in the street in front of the hotel (parking is free during the weekend), the breakfast was great. I really think this hotel deserves a rating of at least 9 on Booking.com. I plan to come again and stay at the same hotel.

Except for the receptionists, the hotel staff is extremely unfriendly, especially in the restaurant. Breakfast is relatively good. You have to intercept the cleaners in the lobby to clean the room and there were a few cockroaches in the room during the stay. Although it has a lot of potential, lazy and unfriendly staff make staying in the hotel unpleasant.

Breakfast was nice, the location was perfect, near shopping and restaurants. It's pet friendly so we got to take our dog with us and there are parks nearby to walk him. It was clean and comfortable. It has a mini fridge, hot water, our room wasn't noisy, it had an electric heater but we didn't really use it and the temperature was adequate in the room in our opinion. Would recommend.

The room could have more electric outlets. The breakfast area was quite busy although it kept moving as people finished their breakfast. The location of the elevators is quite far from the front desk, so someone older or handicap will have to move quite a distance to get to it. Nevertheless, would definitely recommend this hotel.
