Excellent location, close to the city center, shopping center, supermarket. The aquapark is about 20 minutes away on foot. Interior is attractively designed. The room was larger than expected, with a nice balcony and facing the yard, so there were no issues with street noise. Bathroom was a bit smaller. Everything was very clean. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was versatile and tasty (the sausages were exceptional!) but a bit cramped. Hotel parking must be reserved earlier for a fee or payed hourly in the street Monday to Friday, but free parking zone is less than 10 minutes away on foot.

The mattress was too soft for me, but then it's about personal preference. We spent two nights, found the room impecably clean upon arrival, but I don't think it was cleaned during our stay (the trash bin wasn't emptied and the beds weren't made). Didn't bother us for such a short stay.

My wife and I have been happy guests at Piano Hotel in Szeged for the past 10 years, and every single visit has been a pleasure. What truly stands out is the consistently high quality of service—a rare and valuable trait that keeps us coming back. The rooms are always spotless, comfortable, and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. The location is ideal, placing you close to the city’s main attractions, restaurants, and the charming Szeged vibe. The staff have always been incredibly polite, attentive, and professional, ensuring that every stay is smooth and enjoyable. Over the years, we’ve seen the same level of dedication and care, which speaks volumes about the hotel’s commitment to excellence. We highly recommend Piano Hotel to any traveler looking for comfort, reliability, and a touch of personal warmth in Szeged. After a decade of wonderful stays, we can say with confidence—you’ll want to come back, too.

They have big, comfortable, clean rooms at a decent price. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are my go-to place when I'm in the city. The good: - the rooms are big, especially for the category and price. There's also a decent enough table with an okay chair if someone wants to do some work from their room at a laptop for example. - the beds are among the more comfortable I've slept in. - there are power outlets next to the bed, so I don't have to break out my extender cord to use my phone charger in the evening.

Only minor things that might be issues for some: - sound proofing of room doors is not perfect, so when someone loud is coming or going on the corridor when the room is, it can be heard. The corridors are not that big, only about 6 rooms in total per floor, so it is rarely an issue, but it can happen. - one 2nd floor room I was in, had a skylight style slanted roof window with no thick curtains to completely block the incoming light, so if someone wants to sleep when the sun is up and needs darkness for that, those rooms might be inconvenient. This is not an issue on lower floors though.

The hotel is okay, close to the city center, clean, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is tasty, and the coffee is decent.

However, they charge you 10 EUR just to park even a motorcycle in the inner courtyard. I’ve traveled all over Europe and have never encountered anything like this. I said okay, I’ll pay. I parked the motorcycle in the middle spot. Around 8:00 PM, when I was already asleep after a long journey, the reception called me to ask me to move the motorcycle from the initial spot to the last one in the courtyard so that another car could fit. On the side, the manager’s car was parked, and they probably didn’t want to bother him, so they bothered me instead. If you’re traveling by motorcycle, go somewhere else.

This hotel is in close proximity to the center of Szeged. Close to shops, restaurants and the major tourist attractions. The rooms are big enough and very comfortable. Well lit and well heated. There is a 24 hour reception desk. One can park in the yard. One can also get an electric kettle, if desired. The breakfast is of great variety. With lots of hot & cold, sweet & savory items. Tea, coffee and juices.

There is no community room one could sit during the day. The bathroom is very small. One practically has to squeeze oneself in between the door and the shower cabin to be able to sit on the toilet. The shower cabin itself is also very small. Cleaning itself is very superficial. I dropped something in the bathroom the first day which was still there after the THIRD day. Cleaning personnel is very loud while working, even if they know there are people in the room. Most probably resting?! 🧐🤔

It's a nice and cozy hotel. It seems to be an old building nicely renovated. I enjoyed the stay, even if it was for one night during our transit through the city. Parking is in the inner yard with a closed gate at night, so this was good, as we had packed cars. The breakfast was awesome. The buffet was generous with tasty food. Once again it shows our Hungarian neighbors' great hospitality and love and respect for food. I will definitely remember the location.

The rooms are incredibly tall, which can provide some echo when talking. Some padding on the ceiling would reduce this echo. Nevertheless, it was not annoying, rather I had a weird feeling at times with that echo in the room.

The hotel is nice, modern and clean. The staff is lovely and they are super helpful! The breakfast is great and there are plenty of foods to choose from. It's a buffet, but they refill it as soon as something runs out. They also have some toys in the breakfast area so the children can play while parents eat which is awesome. The location of the hotel is perfect.

We had a problem with putting our child to sleep the first night since our room was facing the street and the tram was too loud and she kept waking up. Perhaps if you are travelling with younger children discuss the room with the staff so you can maybe face the yard.

disclaimer: I use the hotel to sleep, while I'm in town for work, so my experience is limited to the rooms and breakfast. I pick Hotel Piano whenever I'm in town, as it's a cozy little place, with spacious rooms for an excellent price. The rooms are clean and neat. The breakfast obviously doesn't compare to some of the fancier places I've been to, but for the price and category it is more than perfect with an okay selection. The place is quiet apart from the door issue I mention below. I've never had problems with people in rooms above or next to me. They have a 24/7 reception, which is another plus for me, as I tend to come and go at weird times myself.

Sound proofing of doors is not perfect. Loud sounds from the corridor can sometimes be heard through the door and if another guest has kids or is not particularly careful closing the somewhat large and heavy doors, it can get noisy. This has affected me once, during the main season, when the hotel was full of tourists.

First of all I'd like to thank the people who work there. They are very helping and attentive. When we needed urgent assistance with our car they managed to find the right person very quickly and were very supportive and nice. A few words about the hotel now: Very central location yet the neighborhood is quiet. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. We liked the breakfast too. The hotel provides parking for 10 EUR/day. Be careful when entering/exiting it: the passage is quite narrow. We'd like to come back one day.

The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was fine

The hotel advertises itself as being 'dog friendly', whereas it is, at best, 'dog tolerant' ! Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, and the guest is told to leave the dog in his room at all times. The guest is also warned of a series of actions, including the dog jumping on the bed, for which he may be liable to pay a fine. Any dog abandoned in a room on its own, will jump on the bed, as it is the place most likely to have the strongest odour of the owner, which the dog will go to for comfort ... The hotel's attitude to dogs is very questionable, and, frankly, uninformed and rather stupid.
