During my recent stay at the luxurious Hotel Silvanus, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked into the elegant lobby, I was greeted with exceptional service and attention to detail. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a stunning view of the forest. The amenities were top-notch, including a delicious on-site restaurant. Overall, my experience at the hotel was truly unforgettable and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a four-star experience.

The otherwise superb hotel boasts luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and stunning views. However, the wellness facility leaves much to be desired. The pools are a bit outdated and in need of modernization and the pool area lacks sufficient seating for guests. With a few improvements to the wellness facility, this hotel could truly be a top-notch destination for relaxation and rejuvenation.

A very nice hotel set on a hillside overlooking pool, forests and the river Danube. The room (suite) was exceptionally large and well appointed with full bathroom and separate toilet, walk in dressing room, bedroom, lounge and large furnished balcony. A nice touch was a fruit basket on the day of arrival. Breakfast (included) was a buffet affair with a large choice of well prepared dishes some options seemed unique to the UK palette. Dinner (included) was also a buffet, equally good choice and could be enjoyed in the dining room or on the veranda overlooking the river. Bar service, either indoors or on a patio area was good but a little slow, drinks were well priced and a good selection of cocktails, wine, champagne and beers were available. It was nice to see the hotel manager making himself known to guests during the stay and was very keen to listen to opinions both good and not so good. TOP TIP - Settle your bill the evening before you leave, the queue in the morning was long and slow.

The breakfast was excellent , wide range of foods and drinks. ALso the wellness area was amazing and the staff was nice.

The dinner was buffet but it didn't include any drinks, not even water , which was weird. For this price it should include at least water or lemonade (which was served at the breakfast). Air conditioner would be nice in the rooms as it was pretty warm at night.

We were on our minimoon, once the hotel found out they have upgraded our room to a suite and we received a bottle of champagne. It was a lovely gesture, and made us feel special. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Couldn’t recommend more!

The aircon in the room wasn’t working too well.

Quite isolated location on the top of the hill with just a forest around. Food is also pretty good. Convenient for staying with dog.

Looks like the owner did not do renovation since quite a long time... Smell of chlorine around the pool. Very simple sauna zone

Location and the view, great selection at breakfast/dinner, good spa experience.

None to mention. Perhaps the fact that there was only one sauna room available was a bit of a surprise given the of the hotel.

The view is absolutely stunning and the spa area is also very nice. We also liked the food there.

The furniture is quite old.

The location is amazing with very kind staff. As a celiac - as all the foods were labelled - it was easy to find gluten free meal options.

Value for money could be better. The old head waiter was a bit awkward with other waiters and with us too. May be a generational issue. The gluten free desserts are not worth asking where one could get them - they are so so bad.

The main attraction is the view, but there is relatively little to do in town that would take more than a day. It was very nice to sit on the terrace and watch the sun set. Having the castle and bobsled within walking distance was nice and the hiking was good.

The price was steep for what it offers, but summer prices are high. We needed to rent two rooms for our family of four, presumably because there was no availability.

Beautiful view, perfect meal and nice swimming pool outside.

Pool bar wasnt so good - warm bottel beer. In the sauna were people in the swimwear.
