I thought the Madras Grand was excellent. Everything the favourable reviews said about it was quite accurate. The breakfast was excellent if not a little limited. As a restaurant the evening meals were wonderful. The rooms were a good size, very clean and comfortable and maintained daily. The bathroom, shower and toilet were all very good. Staff were friendly and thorough without being obsequious. The location was central in Chennai with about a 700m walk to the Metro so that worked well for me. All up I was very happy with it.

Overall the stay was really good. The staff was very helpful, pleasant and always made sure to take care of any request or help needed. I am really very happy with their service. The breakfast was very good and all the staff attending the restaurant were also very helpful and good. The room was neat and well maintained. The size and accommodating capacity of the restaurant is small. It would have been better if it was a little more spacious. Otherwise I don't have anything that I disliked during my stay there. The stay, the staff and the service was really very good.

The Madras Grand at Egmore/Chennai is a unit of Thasli Hospitality. I had the opportunity of staying in this hotel for one night on 19th Jan-2025. The room allotted to me was very comfortable and clean. It is a relatively new hotel with all facilities. Though the location of the hotel is little interior in Egmore it is perfect for connecting to all important facilities at Chennai. The room had an adequate supply of toiletries etc. An electric kettle with tea/coffee making ingredients was also provided in the room. Right from serving a welcome drink the hospitality shown by the reception and the housekeeping staff were very good. There is a spacious and comfortable restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. The quality of the food served here was satisfactory. The facilities in this hotel are easily comparable with five-star hotels. Overall, my stay was comfortable and memorable. I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a safe and convenient family stay. Keep it up.

I recently stayed at The Madras Grand Hotel, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The hotel itself was beautiful, well-maintained, and offered a relaxing ambiance. My room was spotless, spacious, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping team did a wonderful job ensuring everything was perfect. The restaurant at the hotel was another highlight of my stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. Every meal was freshly prepared, and the flavors were outstanding. The breakfast buffet was especially impressive with so many options! What truly made my stay exceptional was the incredible staff. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and top-notch hospitality. The reception team was efficient and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The restaurant staff was attentive and friendly, making dining a pleasant experience. Overall, my stay at The Madras Grand exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great food, and outstanding service. I can’t wait to return!

The Hotel looks and feels grand. The rooms are massive and the lobby has a warm, welcoming feel. The breakfast area is small but it was never overcrowded. The buffet was average. We had dinner at the hotel one night which I thought was a little expensive. The bathrooms were clean and the staff very helpful.

Although the hotel is close to the Egmore station, and easily accessible from anywhere else, the actual location is slightly in a rundown area. So until you are inside the hotel, you feel like you are in a sad/bad neighborhood.

Room was spacious and clean. All necessary items were there in the room. For a quadrauple room, they should provide slippers and cups for 4 people. The restaurant service was quick.

Tea bags were served openly in the room without any cover and the tea cup had a crack. Early check in service wasn’t given to us. The bed linen and towels could be better washed or new ones should be provided. Water pressure in the washroom was low. Should have a curtain in the shower area and have exhaust fan.

A Good Solid Clean Hotel. The rooms had mini fridge with snacks and drinks. Close to the Egmore Station. Helpful Reception Staff.

The first time I stayed here...there was some confusion and delay on checking in but we were offered complementary drinks while waiting for our rooms This delay is Not a big deal though. Second time I stayed, I had a room with a window BUT no views ( wall ) .For fortunately I arrived late and left at the crack of dawn. if you are claustrophobic it is best to check and ensure you have a room window and a view.

I did not have meals/ breakfast. The front desk staff Mr. Kamalraj & Ashwin were very very helpful. Went that extra mile in helping to get change of currency, advising as a foreign tourist. How much to bargain for an auto( eg: not more than certain amount from T- Nagar to Egmore or from Egmore to mount road. Giving the best places in food to dine in an enjoy.) On the last day getting me the weighing machine( where as it was both broken & raining to go outside, somehow got it for me. They even arranged OLA cabs to the domestic & international air ports for me. IT WAS TRULY A REMARKABLE PLACE TO STAY. EVEN THOUGH THE DISTANCE FROM AIR PORT WAS A BIT FAR. BUT THE SMILING FACES AND POLITE WAY OF TALKING, ACKNOWLEDGING THE CUSTOMERS MADE ME SPEECHLESS. I will truely recomend to my friends & the next time i will be booking at the Madras Grand Chennai to stay. 😊👍

What could have been better is in the restaurant any types of food ( such as paper masala dosai & buriyani ) available all day. Also i one time ordered chapatti & allo gobi ( the patato there was no patato in it at all) i did mention that to the kitchen staff. Kitchen has to improve alot. Also ordered ginger tea hopeless no good. NO VALUE FOR MONEY.

MG grand apartment was a very comfortable stay for family with kids. Very good hospitality by the hotel staff Syed and very supportive. Also very good housekeeping service by staff Kishore. The restaurant also tasted very good and great quality. The hotel management need to get some more parking space as they have only 3 parking space available with them and others to park the cars on road side wherever available. This is the only improvement needed for car parking space.

I had good experience but with a little glitch from hotel management. The rooms were clean and the service was good. The breakfast from the little restaurant next to lobby was tasty. Overall the experience was good.

The hotel management did not manage the communication properly. I called the hotel to inform about the timings of my arrival the next day. The receiver did not make a note of this communication and upon arrival I was told that my reservation has been canceled. The management was able to provide the reserved rooms but only after a bit of deliberation. Very inconvenient. Room for improvement.
