I thought the Madras Grand was excellent. Everything the favourable reviews said about it was quite accurate. The breakfast was excellent if not a little limited. As a restaurant the evening meals were wonderful. The rooms were a good size, very clean and comfortable and maintained daily. The bathroom, shower and toilet were all very good. Staff were friendly and thorough without being obsequious. The location was central in Chennai with about a 700m walk to the Metro so that worked well for me. All up I was very happy with it.

The size and accommodating capacity of the restaurant is small. It would have been better if it was a little more spacious. Otherwise I don't have anything that I disliked during my stay there. The stay, the staff and the service was really very good.

The Madras Grand exceeded my expectations in multiple levels. We took the MG apartment which could accommodate up to 6 to7 pax. The facilities in the apartment was great. It was clean and smelled fantastic. The staff were friendly and efficient. In terms of location slightly away from the main shopping places(T nagar) but it was totally worth it to travel alittle further. I loved my stay there. Thank you to the staff and management.

Can provide a floor mat for the kitchen and spoons which were missing. Other than that everything else were good.

Great Hotel, very clean and central location. A special mention about Rajan, Naresh, Sargar and the Restaurant staff Suraj, Hydra and Srinath. They were extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. Thanks also to the Reception staff for their assistance. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Extra charges regarding early check-ins and late check-outs need to be advised to the customer at the time of booking. Transparency is important.

The Madras Grand at Egmore/Chennai is a unit of Thasli Hospitality. I had the opportunity of staying in this hotel for one night on 19th Jan-2025. The room allotted to me was very comfortable and clean. It is a relatively new hotel with all facilities. Though the location of the hotel is little interior in Egmore it is perfect for connecting to all important facilities at Chennai. The room had an adequate supply of toiletries etc. An electric kettle with tea/coffee making ingredients was also provided in the room. Right from serving a welcome drink the hospitality shown by the reception and the housekeeping staff were very good. There is a spacious and comfortable restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. The quality of the food served here was satisfactory. The facilities in this hotel are easily comparable with five-star hotels. Overall, my stay was comfortable and memorable. I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a safe and convenient family stay. Keep it up.

I recently stayed at The Madras Grand Hotel, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The hotel itself was beautiful, well-maintained, and offered a relaxing ambiance. My room was spotless, spacious, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping team did a wonderful job ensuring everything was perfect. The restaurant at the hotel was another highlight of my stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. Every meal was freshly prepared, and the flavors were outstanding. The breakfast buffet was especially impressive with so many options! What truly made my stay exceptional was the incredible staff. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and top-notch hospitality. The reception team was efficient and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The restaurant staff was attentive and friendly, making dining a pleasant experience. Overall, my stay at The Madras Grand exceeded my expectations. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The staff were extremely polite, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. The location is convenient, making it easy to reach nearby attractions. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with a good variety of options. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city and look forward to staying here again.

The Hotel looks and feels grand. The rooms are massive and the lobby has a warm, welcoming feel. The breakfast area is small but it was never overcrowded. The buffet was average. We had dinner at the hotel one night which I thought was a little expensive. The bathrooms were clean and the staff very helpful.

Although the hotel is close to the Egmore station, and easily accessible from anywhere else, the actual location is slightly in a rundown area. So until you are inside the hotel, you feel like you are in a sad/bad neighborhood.

The first time I stayed here...there was some confusion and delay on checking in but we were offered complementary drinks while waiting for our rooms This delay is Not a big deal though. Second time I stayed, I had a room with a window BUT no views ( wall ) .For fortunately I arrived late and left at the crack of dawn. if you are claustrophobic it is best to check and ensure you have a room window and a view.

Room was spacious and clean. All necessary items were there in the room. For a quadrauple room, they should provide slippers and cups for 4 people. The restaurant service was quick.

Tea bags were served openly in the room without any cover and the tea cup had a crack. Early check in service wasn’t given to us. The bed linen and towels could be better washed or new ones should be provided. Water pressure in the washroom was low. Should have a curtain in the shower area and have exhaust fan.
