Nice large comfortable rooms with opening in window with a screen. Best location in town. Full amenities and great lighting. Quiet, Internet TV, good supply of water, efficient room service. I ate two dinners in the restaurant, western style due to stomach issues and they were both excellent. Breakfast buffet is reasonable and adequate, no juices but decent fruit selection and eggs to order. Hot water but you have to wait 5 minutes.

Room advertised as valley view. If you could see through the trees you would have an Ok valley view. Only the 6th floor would have a valley view and that's mostly executive level. I paid extra to look at the trees across the street. I tried to extend and got mixed messages from the staff who were not overly helpful. They did procure me a good price on a taxi to the airport. It's not value for money due to lack of view but I would stay there again because it was a very safe, well tended hotel.

While better than many if the places we stay in India, maintenance and repairs are (as always in India) lacking. The aircon didn't work and was beyond the capabilities of the staff to amend: door closers remained unadjusted so slamming doors provide an unwanted soundtrack to our stay and prevented sleeping longer then 30 minutes at a time; a leaking toilet tap created a permanently wet bathroom floor. A maintenance-issue reporting process would catch these issues...

Mr Dheeran and his team was very accommodating and Mr Rana went the extra to fix my broken wheel on my bag. I will definitely recommend this hotel. The tea time complimentary biscuits are delicious. We felt very safe at the hotel and will definitely recommend solo traveller's.

The head office of Amritara response was very delayed and failed to inform the McLeod ganj hotel to arrange a pick up from the Dharamshala airport.

Location, size of the room, the view, the service. We loved the breakfast and the Labooze bar was a good addition.

Air conditioning was variable and noisy at times. Some air conditioning units from other rooms were outside our window so if those rooms were occupied, they were also noisy when working. The choice of food and drink in the Labooze bar was a bit limited and didn’t match the menu - we didn’t eat in the main restaurant in the evening.

Top location - only 200 metres from the Dalai Lama's Monastery and a stone throw from the centre of Mccleodganj shops and markets. The staff were amazing and always had a warm smile.

They didn't automatically clean the room and had to ask for supplies.

The location and the valley view

We were initially allocated room at the lower floor which is called as Valley view, but does not offer any view of the valley. We were lucky enough to get an alternate room on 6th floor.

The location is amazing and the view from the room is fantastic. I really also liked the included buffet style breakfast. The food was incredible and there was a lot of variety.

I really can't identify anything I didn't like. It was a great stay.

Bathroom size very small. Room size good. Location excellent. Breakfast needs more variety. No hairdryer in room. Restaurant is very pricey.

The staff was extremely curteous and helpful. The location is excellent. And the property was clean and well maintained. Really enjoyed our stay!
