1. There was construction going on next door. The dust from it caused us some allergies/health issues, and this was very inconvenient. 2. All requests for services and payments have to go through their internal online system that is buggy and unreliable. They are not flexible in terms of accepting payments in cash, direct card swiping, or online transactions through international credit cards. This was definitely an inconvenience although the staff tried their best to help us.

Location was good , rooms was good and the beds too . . nice terrace and I like the vibe .. this is my first experience with hostlers .

Software they are using is not good ..they don't take cash only online payments . sometimes the software don't take money so have to wait for so long on the reception . Even there is no other option than to wait only . Washrooms were not clean to be satisfactory level .. staff should be more professional and issue resolving. .. to be honest as the brand it is , has something to work on it .. to be more convenient to the guests ...

Hostel staff and people were just perfect and very nice with all customers 🤩 From the manager to the front office, community manager and even cleaning people, everybody was jsut great ! They always organise something for you every day to make your stay unforgettable and make new friends ! Perfectly located in the center of McleodGanj with a very nice roof top, very good deal for the price you pay i highly recommend 🙏

Just a few minor finishing issues in the hotel rooms — some small repairs needed, but not depending on the staff.

We stayed in a private room and it was very clean. The building is well located so you can walk around anywhere. I took breakfast at restaurants called Main Point and Makye Ama. Both excellent choices. No heater so the room was cold during January/ snow

Power kept cutting off during the 3 nights I stayed there. I was working remotely so it was a little bit of an issue since the internet was not reliable. Not sure it that is an issue with the building of the block/ town. There were a few noisy guests running around the halls and slamming doors during the 1st night. I never noticed someone from staff trying to handle the situation

Nice location, 2 minutes walk from main mall road and 5-7 minutes walk from Mcloadgunj chowk. Perfect in a way that it's not located on a chaotic road but also not in a secluded area. I stayed in a double room with a private balcony which was very comfortable and spacious, most of the essential amenities were inclusive. A water dispenser was available on each floor so one can refill their bottle with hot- cold - or normal water. As per my request I got an early check in which was much needed after a super tiring 10 hour journey. The staff is very kind and considerate of all your requests - Parvez, Alizeh, Manish and Asha will make sure you have a comfortable stay with the best of their abilities. The common area on the terrace is a perfect space to socialize or mind one's own business.

The glass door in my room got jammed and wasn't closing so Manish helped getting it fixed but it could be fixed by the repair person so he offered to change my room. Though it was such a comfortable space that I didn't mind staying there. The net door was working perfectly fine so it wasn't much of a concern.

The Hostel is located closer to Mall road so it is easy to access. The dorm beds are really comfortable and the AC works very well. The bathroom facilities are top notch. The rooftop music sessions and library with board games is great value for money and a good addition to bond and spend time at night. Overall it is a great facility to enjoy your stay.

I took the Triund trek from the Hosteller event package which was a waste of money. The guide that was arranged was busy in his own climb and didn't ensure that the whole group was trekking together. Halfway through the trek I felt nauseatic and I requested him to arrange a tent at the lower climb through a guy who was his acquaintance but he declined and I had to pay twice the money to spend the night. All I requested him was to transfer my trek booking to another guy where I was feeling down so he could set up a tent for me to spend the night but he didn't agree and he added another guy at the top in my tent which resulted in me shelling out more money.

It is really clean, has good linen and mattress. Nice place with modern design and the location is great.

There is “a la carte” meals, and one must order meals through the special form on the site. They ask Indian phone number for confirming the order. I didn’t have Indian number available so I didn’t manage to have supper in the hostel. Also be prepared that some Indian guy in your room could speak on the phone all night long, so you will not sleep till 4 am…

The location is good, its on the main mall road, offers all the amenities need for a solo or couple travel. The team is super helpful and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant is good.

There are only couple of things that can make the experience better there needs to be air-conditioning in the rooms, specially in the summer months. There needs to be an intercom system in the room as there is no elevator and for all communication you need to walk down to the reception.

Perfect location, right in the heart of MacLeodganj, short walk from great restaurants and shops. The staff are friendly and helpful, every evening we had bonfires and chatted and played games, a very social hostel. The decor is really nice,( I added to it with a little sunflower pin badge - see if you can spot it!) and the views from the roof terrace were GORGEOUS. They also organise hikes but I didn't go on that, I just did it myself which was easy to do from the hostel. I would stay here on my next visit for sure.

Despite the "quiet hour" being from 10pm it was always noisy until later than that. A couple times the staff came into the rooms in the night, turned on lights, then left, it was very odd. Despite communicating with me on booking, they cancelled my booking even after I confirmed on the phone that I could pay on arrival.

To start with, we loved the property’s location which is very near to mall road market plus can easily be located. The food here is so so good, like drooling good. We had, aloo and gobhi paratha, masala chai is wow, rajma rice, fried rice and paneer schezwan. The property is very clean and staff is so polite and positive. They look after every ask of yours despite of beinga backpacker hostel. Special mention to Alizeh (Community Manager) and Parwez. It was our first wedding anniversary and I wanted to organize a surprise which could not have been possible without Alizeh’s super awesome organizing skills. She arranged for everything from scratch and at a very short notice. We really loved the overall experience and definitely would be our recommendation for anyone coming to Mcleodganj for an awesome stay experience.
