We had a lovely ground floor room (with large bathroom) looking out onto the central courtyard. All the staff were very attentive and helpful. Manish the hotel manager looked after everything we needed and we'd certainly recommend using their in-house taxi/chauffeur services over anything you'd find on the street (for convenience and price). After a a whole day exploring Jaipur and further afield, returning to the hotel to enjoy sundowners on the roof terrace with all the kites flyers on their rooftops and the sky full of kites was quite magical. The hotel food (breakfast and dinner) is perfect Jaipur home-cooking and thoroughly recommended. We knew nothing about the Khatu Haveli and 'The Real Marigold Hotel' connection (not having seen the TV programme) so that was a nice surprise. Some evenings, the hotel hosted organised groups from other hotels for sundowner G&Ts on the roof terrace (for a little real Marigold experience) and we'd mix and chat. Altogether perfect!

There was nothing we didn't like. We chose the hotel completely by chance, just on the basis of a few reviews, the location and photos. Unlike the BBC who did far more research than we did before choosing the Khatu Haveli to accommodate a group of well paid celebrities with their standard of expectations. You will not be disappointed.

Staying at Khatu Haveli was truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere in the world. Everything was exceptional from the spotless and comfortable rooms to the convenient location and mouthwatering, satisfying meals. However, what sets Khatu Haveli apart is its incredible team—the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was effortless and filled with joy. Mannish answered all our endless questions, and when a minor crisis arose (our transportation to a wedding fell through), he immediately jumped into action, finding enough cars to transport our party of ten and all our suitcases. He saved the day, ensuring we all arrived on time at the wedding weekend. Virendra, the hotel’s driver, helped us fall in love with Jaipur. He spent multiple days driving us around Jaipur, showing us the tourist destinations, and helping us find affordable and appropriate wedding wear. When I started getting desperate after not being able to find a saree that I liked and could afford, he brought me to a tailor who created the saree of my dreams (along with several other beautiful and personally tailored items). And when—by chance—we were in Jaipur for the city’s spectacular kite festival, Virendra taught us how to fly kites, compete with neighboring kite-flyers, and send lanterns into the night sky. He made us feel at home in his city. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone at Khatu Haveli for their warmth, care, and dedication. They turned our visit into an unforgettable experience.

This haveli is a calm and quiet oasis that’s absolutely stunning. You’re a short walk away from the busy Chandpole Bazar but the haveli grounds themselves are somehow so peaceful and we slept well. Our room was clean, comfy and stylish. The shower pressure was honestly the best we found in our 15-day india trip. They also have an gorgeous rooftop terrace area with tables and chairs so you can relax there and enjoy the views of the city. Manish and the restaurant staff were very helpful and checked we always had everything we needed, including assisting us with luggage storage and drop off. Their restaurant is stunning, we had breakfast and dinner there. We also booked a driver through them for a day of sightseeing forts - our driver Veeru was fantastic!

We had a lovely stay at Khatu Haveli. It really is a calm and tranquil space, after being in the busy city. Everyone at the Haveli were friendly, helpful and really made our stay. Helping us navigate getting around Jaipur, with top tips and advice. Breakfast was great to start the day, we also had dinner at the Haveli twice as it was really lovely to have home cooked food at restaurant quality. We also loved chatting to the other guests during this time. I would highly recommend staying here, we had a top floor room which led onto a wonderful roof top terrace.

Nothing

This is a beautiful hotel providing a quiet and clean refuge from the hustle and bustle of life in Jaipur. It is in a good location to walk to some of Jaipur’s attractions. The rooms are comfortable and ornate whilst the photographs tell a story of past generations. We had a delicious vegetarian buffet served on the roof top and the breakfast was also plentiful and tasty. We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful day out to see the Amer fort and other sites which are further away. Veeru was our driver and he was a star; so competent in the traffic and jolly giving us lots of information about the sites. We had a lovely stay in this hotel.

Everything was good.

We arrived directly from New Delhi airport and the property arranged a private taxi for us instead of us picking up an UBER at 6am. Driver was super nice and we stopped en route for breakfast. The Haveli is a beautiful building and surprisingly quiet considering the noise from the street. We had booked a courtyard room and were given a room on the top floor just inside from the fabulous roof terrace with views of Fort Nahargarh. A driver was arranged to take us to Amber Fort the next day and we stopped off at the beautiful Gatore ki Temple on the way then for a quick photo at Jal Mahal on the way back and our driver recommended a small local eatery for lunch. We had a great day. For our 3rd day we arranged ourselves and visited the pink city palace and picked up a guide inside for 400 /-, then only Albert Museum. Getting around was easy by Tuk Tuk, within the city was 100 /- each way. Breakfast was so lovely each morning, prepared by our hostess and on our last night we stayed in to eat. We would like to thank Manish for arranging our drivers and booking our massages at Kendra Ayurveda and Virendra for his curtesy serving our meals. Also for dropping us at the train station for our journey onto Agra.

We loved all of our stay. But the streets are filthy and full of rubbish and not just within the vicinity but the whole of the walled part of Jaipur. This is not the fault of the accommodation as it’s spotless within the Haveli.

The hotel is classy. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bathroom is the cleanest during my whole India trip. The vibe is good here, feeling like home, quiet and peaceful. I easily made friends here because everybody had dinner and breakfast together(if you want). Oh, not even talking about the amazing rooftop yet, that was the reason I booked this hotel but the hotel ended up delivering much more than these! The location is close to City Palace and the markets.

No staff available during any afternoon. No menu or prices available for breakfast or dinner. Bed extremely hard. The whole Haveli & room was very dusty. No comfy chairs or loungers to sit on the roof terrace. Large sur charge added to final bill.

Attentive staff, tasty home cooked meals, good breakfast, great location, beautiful heritage rooms with modern facilities. The rooftop terrace is a great place to relax after an exhausting day exploring the sights. The hotel owner always has time for an interesting chat with the guests. The hotel manager provides guests with every service they may require. All staff members are friendly and helpful.

Shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom would be nice.
