The view was spectacular; unfortunately the water fall was mostly dry during our stay. I imagine the place is even more unbelievable in the rainy season or winter. The food was ok but not more than that. I would say cut the multi-cuisine format and specialize in Kerala food; offer a simpler international set of dishes for room service, like pizza, green salads (without mayonnaise!), fish sandwiches, fish and chips, grilled/fried chicken, and so on. The staff were for the most part amazing, though housekeeping seemed to struggle keeping up with all the rooms. You could probably reduce the managerial staff who didn't seem to be on the top of their game and increase number of restaurant and cleaning staff.

I would’ve rate this property 10 but for the food. I’ll talk about that later. The positives outweigh the not so goods. The location is wonderful. The best view of the Attukad falls from anywhere in Munnar. The view from our room was breathtaking. The staff was super responsive and positive all the time. The rooms and facilities were clean and upto the mark. Overall a very positive experience. Will definitely recommend it to friends.

The only thing if any not so good was the food. When I say this it’s with a word of caution… we are avid foodies. And may be our standards and expectations are high. But we did experience a few meals that were super simple to be not so great. We did give feedback to the chef who was very receptive, but I guess this is like you get it right the first time or your don’t. When you are hungry and something mediocre arrives on your table you tend to eat it, but we do share feedback if asked for. The location is such that we would not want to to venture out in the night so dinners had to be here, and we were quite disappointed with the taste and flavours thru our stay… breakfast and dinner. Scope to improve.

This is the first time I’ve written a review before even checking out, which says a lot about how much I’ve enjoyed my stay at Blanket Hotel and Spa. I came here with my wife and my mother to relax, and everything from the cool, refreshing weather, to the breathtaking cafe and rooms view, and delicious food has exceeded my expectations. Most importantly, the staff at the reception and restaurant were incredibly warm, helpful, and genuinely committed to making my stay comfortable and memorable. A special mention goes to their honesty — I had forgotten some cash in my laundry, and the staff returned it to me without hesitation, which I deeply appreciated.

We also tried the Ayurvedic treatment at the hotel. While this was my first time experiencing it, and I understand it’s quite different from Thai massage, I found it didn’t quite meet my expectations in terms of the overall effect. That said, the spa area was spotlessly clean, and the therapists were very friendly and professional.

The hotel was truly amazing, and I stayed for two days. I especially loved the range of activities offered within the property. Although I had initially planned to explore other places, the in-house activities were more than enough to fill our days with enjoyment, such as live cooking sessions and chocolate molding. There was also a sari dress experience, though unfortunately, the timing was not well coordinated. On the positive side, we thoroughly enjoyed the one-hour nature walk and the interactive live cooking lessons. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in every aspect, and they even provided us with a list of recommended places to visit in Munnar, which was very thoughtful. Suitable for couples' honeymoon, friends, & Family vacations.

What a fabulous stay at Blanket Hotel with my family I have waited a long time to come to Kerala and very excited to see Munnar. It was all stunning and so was the location of our hotel. Located next to a plentiful waterfall with stunning views of the tea plantations and hills it was a great decision to bring my family here. All the staff make you feel special as it is a smaller hotel so the service was outstanding from the moment we came inside. We were welcomed by a lovely ceremony by Aneeta and the celebrations continued and organisation by Marshall who were both very friendly and warm people We did various activities including yoga nature walk by Charan, saree draping and cooking class. The room was nice and big with very comfortable bed and great views. Located near enough to various viewpoints, trekking, tea factory and Munnar villages. The food was the best we have had on our trip! Pratibha made us all feel welcome every day by learning small things about us. She should be promoted please. Shilpa and team were all lovely. The head chef Sonu and his team of Scarya Nihad made us feel so special. They gave us English cuisine and Punjabi food and other delights to order so we ate soo much!! Thanks everyone for an amazing holiday for our 25th wedding anniversary celebrations with our children.

Suggestion More signage on stairs for reception and restaurant Music in morning quite loud if you are below it Also kitchen noise continued into 2.00am as we slept in room 201 and 208 so sleep was not good on both nights despite amazing bed. We did tell manager but did not want to pack and unpack again. Uber here was fine from Kochi but we were advised no uber possible so hotel ordered us taxi which was reasonably priced

Food was average. Puris a bit on the greasy side. Paaathas were crispy like papad. Complimentary entertainment was ok, could be improved. Slightly disorganized seating for cooking class Paying for booking worked after several tries; it seems the hotel tries to make you pay by direct transfer in order for the hotel to avoid credit card charges.

After dreaming of this trip for so long, my husband and I finally made it to the breathtaking hills of Munnar—and our stay at Blanket Hotel & Spa made it all the more special. The hotel was spotless, the atmosphere serene, and the views truly unforgettable. Surrounded by peaceful nature and crisp mountain air, the whole experience felt like a perfect retreat. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff—especially the hotel manager and the chef—were incredibly warm and welcoming, adding a personal touch that made us feel truly cared for. Beautifully situated and thoughtfully run, this was the perfect escape we had hoped for.

This is the second review as we stayed an extra night as so enjoyable and we think the place deserved it. The view was magnificent down the valley to the tea plantations, the hotel was immaculate with excellent service and a varied menu of Indian and Western foods. The pool gave great views also in an idyllic setting. You need a car or a driver to stay in the hotel as it is a little off the track.

Maybe serve alcohol at the bar, but you can buy beer and spirits in Munnar town if you feel the need

The hotel's location was excellent. We were warmly welcomed and received the rooms we had booked. The hospitality was outstanding, and the reception team was exceptionally friendly, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious, and the chef was accommodating. However, I was displeased to see a group of guests eating breakfast with their hands from the serving bowls, creating a significant disturbance. This issue was due to the guests' behavior rather than the hotel's service. I suggest adding Arabic dishes to the breakfast menu, considering the number of Arab guests or those expected. The reception team also helped us celebrate my brother's birthday by arranging a cake and offering chocolates as a welcome gesture. We were warmly bid farewell at the door upon our departure. However, I noticed an additional 80 dirhams were charged before our arrival without any explanation.

The location was fantastic with Munnar and the local attractions within a 15 minute drive. The views from the hotel windows was akin to looking at Paradise, the rooms were exceptionally clean and everything required at hand. The staff possibly the kindest and attentive we have encountered over the many journeys undertaken around the world. The evening menu was extensive and included Western Options and the evening buffet was varied and of quality and the breakfast provided enough choice for all. The infinity pool looked down the valley and the tea plantations, was heated and big enough to swim and also toels provided. Overall incredible value for money, though if you are thinking about visiting the Blanket & Spa Hotel go to Trivago to book as quite a discount available and we found booking.com the best price on offer.
