We liked the hotel, quiet in the mountains and a short drive to Munnar Town. The staff were friendly and super efficient. We had laundry done at the hotel which was done fast and our clothes came back perfectly clean. We had dinner at the hotel, made use of the excellent spa facilities and had breakfast also. The room service was also fast when we ordered coffee or cold drinks. It is a lovely hotel with lovely views and friendly staff.

We did not mind the following as we hardly missed it but travellers should note the following in order to manage expectations: a) There is no coffee maker (kettle) in the room but you order your morning coffee or tea to your taste and it gets delivered promptly to the room which is fantastic. No dirty mugs and little empty packets of tea/coffee/sugar/creamer lying around. b) There is no airconditioning in the rooms BUT it is not required - the climate is cool. c) There is no elevator in the hotel - people with mobility problems or who have difficulty climbing stairs should be mindful of this. d) It is not easy to get a taxi or tuk-tuk to take you into Munnar Town - please organise accordingly with your driver.

The views from the property are impressive. Even other resorts on the same side of the mountain don't have the advantage of the view that Abad does. We loved looking outside the balcony all day long. The location is at a perfect distance away from the town to enjoy the quiet and beautiful views but also not too far from everything. FYI, we had our own car, but I noticed it's not close to public transportation. The parking space was ample. The rooms were spotless, the whole hotel was kept clean and maintained that way. The service was amazing. They mention a 30 min wait for in-room dining and they never exceeded the 30 min window. The food, from our experience was quite good but it was best when we stuck to Indian food. The breakfast had a very decent variety for South and North Indians, accompanied with cereal, toast, fruits, fresh juices etc. The staff was super prompt and attentive. I really appreciated the way the front office staff explained everything to us when we checked in, we had all the information we would need right then starting from wifi password to how to reach the viewpoints to what time kitchen closes. Wifi connectivity is another thing we found extremely impressive. We didn't have much mobile network in the room but the wifi was epic, speed was great and we had no connectivity issues throughout our stay. We got massages done at the Ayurvedic centre and both the male and female staff were outstanding in their skills. It was very relaxing and pocket friendly. A must do here at Abad, I would take time out for it. Housekeeping staff Shanthi and Murugan did a fantastic job in keeping our rooms clean and well done. I would highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed breakfast on both days however it was entirely vegetarian except for omelettes. I would've appreciated some more non-vegetarian options like sausages or NV curries on some days. The doors and structures are showing age here and they're bringing down the 4 star feel that this property is otherwise serving. I hope they'd slowly start replacing and repairing the hotel so they can get better and better. Although none of this took away from my experience. I would 100% stay here again.

No elevators. Difficult to climb up and down

The superior rooms were great for a nice peaceful Nature view, good play area for kids with a nice sit out and the camp fire were the best parts of the resort. The song of the Nightingale in the morning added spice to our stay... View point in the resort is a must to see.. Wash room is neat and clean on the room...

The facilities in the room were not upto the mark. The couch is not clean, no tea bags or sugar or kettle for preparing instant hot beverages like tea or hot water and for everything we need to call room service / house keeping... Also It was said that the Parking CCTV was not working as my driver lost some of his stuff during his stay..

A nice place to stay for sure, easily accessible with stunning views from the room. I had booked the bottom floor room with garden in front first but changed to balcony rooms on reaching the hotel, it is worth it for sure. There is an unobstructed view of the valley and the mountain from the balcony. The hotel is decent with all the facilities. The browning point in favor of the hotel is the dining area which offers good views too. Staff help is prompt. Many restaurants within 2 km range where you can go easily.

The hotel can improve on a few things: 1. The blankets in the case of winter can be more clean, I didn't have to use them when I was there but when I opened them, they had many stains. 2. There should be some thin pillows. 3. Basic item such as paper tissues should be there(it will take you from 3 star to 4 star property) 4. Provide a kettle in the rooms, although one can get warm water through room service but unnecessary hassle. 5. Tea bags should be there in the room, one has to order tea. Only complimentary tea is between 6:30 am and 7:30 am. 6. Hair dryer is a must in the bathroom as Munnar gets a lot of rain and at times one needs to dry hair.

On d way itself staff from Abad contact us and given details about location. when we reach hotel our room was set including additional bed. Room is spacious and has a good balcony. View frm balcony is really good. We stayed 3 days and every day they cleaned room /bed/reloaded bathroom accessories . More over food was really good and in 3 days we tried many things and all items are eally tasty.they have a small kids park which my kid enjoyed and indoor play area too.. Evening campfire also good... Really Good staff management and staffs

Spacious rooms and good behavior of the staffs. Special mention to Mr.Senthil who assisted with check in and helped with tips for the sightseeing. The property has a very good restaurant that serves tasty food. Overall the stay was pleasant and comfortable.

The property don't have a lift. Difficult for aged people and people have physical disabilities. So if anybody has such difficulties inform them in advance so that they will accommodate you appropriately.

Very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Special mention for Mr Abhimanan from the security team who suggested places and routes for sightseeing. View from the balcony rooms are excellent and the central location of the property allows you to travel along all the main scenic routes from Munnar. Only issue is that there was no mobile network and you will need to depend on card/cash for payments and wifi for connectivity

Located just before Munnar town so that you needn't enter the traffic if coming from West. Food was good, view is good, staff was helpful. We would prefer to stay there if on another visit

They messed up the parking on the last day of the stay - they had parked some cars in front of hours, but did not keep the keys. They had to run around to locate the owner when we needed to move the car. We lost almost 40 minutes of our time. Also, it is better if lifts could be installed connecting the floors

The property is located in an isolated area, away from the city’s hustle and bustle. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

The sound insulation was poor (you could clearly hear footsteps, chairs being moved in the canteen above, and doors slamming). There was also mold in the bathroom.
