Friendly helpful staff, great views. The private rooms were also great, spacious and clean. The food was also great (both dinner and breakfast) and the hostel had great facilities. I’m really happy we stayed here as it was great value overall.

There was nothing major we didn’t like. There are no restaurants close to the place so you are reliant on ordering food here. You have to pre order food which can sometimes mean a large waiting time. It would be great if these waiting times could be quicker. There’s lots of great things to do in Munnar. The staff could have information boards for activities on boards to share information easier. There are also great facilities in the hostel that we didn’t realise until a few days into our stay. The staff could give a quick tour on check in or highlight the facilities when checking in. I’d imagine it may feel quite hot in warmer months here without AC. AC would be a great addition.

We loved our stay at K Mansion. The room was lovely - it was on the top floor at the back of the property and had a fantastic balcony overlooking the greenery. The views are of jungle rather than tea plantations but it was very peaceful even though the main road runs close to the front of the hotel (we couldn’t hear it from our room). Some people may prefer to stay closer to Munnar town to save on the costs of tuktuk rides but we were happy with the location and even found a lovely walk to do from near to the hotel. There are no shops or restaurants nearby so we ate at the hotel every night which was not a problem because the food was very excellent and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was also delicious. The reception staff are really nice and helpful.

This is by far one of the best hostels I’ve ever had the luck to be in. The equipment and in particular the showers is incredibly good for a hostel, more a hotel standard. The atmosphere is nevertheless really communicative and open. If you like you can meet new people there easily. The whole team and especially the front manager were super kind and helpful with all belongs (transport, information, tours, etc.). The food is really nice and the prices adequate (try the chicken 65 - I had it several times). The view is phenomenal and the location quiet. It takes you 20-30 min by bus to Munnar but I actually liked to be a bit outside of the town (which is not that beautiful). All in all if you’ve got the chance to stay in K Mansion while you’re in this part of the world, do it.

We enjoyed our stay at mansion. The staff were very welcoming and offered any assistance when needed. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I loved the big balcony overlooking the green trees and I enjoyed a spot of yoga in mornings. The breakfast provided was nice and a good way to start the day. There is also a games room to enjoy and a nice communal area to eat. The location is a bit further away from the tea plantations but if you have your own vehicle it's not a problem.

If you’re driving or, like us, have a driver and car, then K Mansion is perfect. It’s a twenty-five minute drive into Munnar and a five minute drive to ‘Punarjani Traditional Village’, with its cultural shows. When we arrived we were greeted by a very helpful and informative member of staff. From their good and varied menu, we booked dinner with him, which was lovely. The location is beautiful. We had the King Room (upstairs) and the morning view over the tree canopy to the hills, was wonderful, with only the sound of wildlife. The outside terrace, for breakfast, had a similar outlook. I’d definitely recommend K Mansion.

This place is basically a hotel where a couple rooms were turned into dorm beds, making it an excellent although somewhat vibe-deficient hostel. This place had an incredible shower situation with infinite hot water. Very clean, very comfortable, nice amenities. Free breakfast was good quality. Nice views. Great staff. I upgraded to a private room for a night and it had a lot of space.

It is slightly farther from town than I thought it would be (about 30 minutes and 400 INR tuk tuk). The food was only North Indian and just OK. There was a spider in my shower.

This was the best stay we had in Munnar! We stayed for two nights, and everything—from the location to the food and service—was excellent. Highly recommended! What truly surprised us was their exceptional service and warm hospitality. On the second day, when we had to leave early, they thoughtfully prepared bread toast and packed some fruits for our journey. The food was absolutely mouth-watering and full of flavor. Overall, it was completely worth the money. A memorable and heartwarming experience!

They were also excellent guides, providing helpful recommendations for my next journey. The ambiance of the hotel was fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety. Gorgeous location, such incredible views over the hills of Munnar. Beautiful communal spaces, including a lovely garden where I did yoga each morning. Fire pit outside for evening fires. Really comfy beds. Powerful showers with hot & cold water. Good, fresh food in the restaurant (muttar paneer was my fave). Plentiful, tasty breakfast with delicious chai. Staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them. I liked the location - a little way outside of Munnar, so it was really peaceful & quiet. Nice place for meeting people too - there's always someone lovely around to chat to.
