The hotel is on the Munnar bypass, facing the valley in the direction of Kochi. The name is spot-on: the panorama from pretty much everywhere in the hotel is simply amazing. Our room had a huge balcony facing directly the valley. The room itself and the bathroom are very big, clean and comfortable. The hotel has an amazing rooftop pool, with a secondary whirlpool and beautiful solarium, all with stunning views: don’t miss the sunset here! Moreover, the pool is heated: at night when it was a bit chilly outside (it was January), being in the pool was amazing. There are also many amenities inside the hotel, like a SPA, another pool, a small gym, an activity room and two restaurants. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options both Indian and continental. The hotel also has some good connections with local tours and guides, and organized a jeep tour to Anakulam for us, which was a great experience. The position is ideal to explore the region. We recommend having a car, since the roads surrounding Munnar offer amazing drives and exceptional views: travelling on your own pace is absolutely worth it. Just consider that, as soon as you leave Munnar, in most of the region there is no cell phone reception (quite surprisingly for India).

The hotel gym is on the top floor and was right above our room. Some unpolite guests were dropping weights early in the morning, which is not the hotel’s fault, but they could add some additional soundproofing or enforce better behavior in the gym. The available restaurants are good, but not exceptional and a bit overpriced. We were a bit disappointed by the grill restaurant, which had quite small portions. The laundry service is exceptionally overpriced.

The room was very modern and high-tech. Gorgeous bedroom balcony view over the sunset. The staff were welcoming. The rooftop pool was heated and enjoyable.

One morning, we were driving to a hike. We woke up 4am and wanted to drive out at 4.3am, but the front door to the hotel was closed as well as the car gate. No staff to be found, so we rang the hotel number who did answer, and they finally did open. It's a bit strange but not the end of the world. However, if the scenario was an emergency, then I wouldn't be impressed. The underground restaurant, which is based on European cuisine, wasn't amazing, speaking as a British person. It's basic, but don't expect the same taste you'd expect as a European!

Stunning location and views and very helpful and kind staff throughout. Having lunch at the Underground restaurant on the terrace overlooking the mountains was very special. The spa was wonderful and relaxing, the breakfast was wonderful (the masala dosa was a highlight for me) and the hotel driver Mr Mount was so friendly and knowledgeable on the transfer from Fort Kochi. For those that enjoy a glass of wine, we had read the hotel is alcohol free so we stopped on the way (Mr Mount helped us) and purchased a bottle that we could enjoy on our balcony during sunset. Don’t let that put you off! This place is truly worth the visit!

There are many things which I like about the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The view from the balcony is very scenic, reminding me of Austria and Switzerland. Their services are speedy and the staff are generous and helpful. We arrived quite late at midnight and forgot to bring baby milk but on request to the staff, they arranged it even though the restaurant was closed. The best part I liked about the hotel was the food. We stayed for 5 days and on each day they had something new on the breakfast menu. The food was overall very delicious. The swimming pools are well maintained. You will definitely enjoy the view from the infinity pool. And with the family and baby, we also had a great time in the indoor activity area. The location is also very good, quite close to the main attractions.

The whole experience of staying at the Panoramic is exceptional. The views from the rooms, pools and lounge areas are superb. We ate at the Underground and Indian restaurant both places served really good food. Excellent flavours and presentation. As good as a Michelin restaurant in London. It was my 60th birthday whilst I was there. My husband arranged an upgraded room to the Pavilion suite. This room was amazing. They decorated the room with banners, balloons and also a birthday cake. A special mention to Arya the manager of the hotel who made sure your requests were met. If you’re coming to Munnar don’t hesitate to book this hotel it is superb.

The only thing I would mention is that in the Pavilion suite it would be nice to have sun loungers and a parasol for some shade. The day bed did not have a cushion on it.

This was genuinely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in - the staff were really friendly and helpful, both of the pools were great (sunset views from the rooftop pool were unreal!), amazing views, good food in both of the restaurants at the hotel, our room was really clean and really spacious, big balcony. For the amount we paid we were really happy and would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Munnar.

The only criticism would be the control for lights in our room - it was quite complicated and would often take us a while to find the right light switch! But this is only a really minor thing as we absolutely loved it here.

The staff was really nice and helpful. Always happy to help us. We didn't have premade plans of what we were going to do so we asked people at reception what they recommended us and they put us in contact with a guide who showed us around. We even went on a safari to see the place where the elephants come to drink water at night. I loved the views. Every morning had a different view based on the weather, it was really nice waking up in the seeing the forest and hearing the birds. Helped us disconnect.

I think the place is a bit remote. You can't walk easily anywhere from there, probably need to rely on getting an auto to get to a different area in Munnar.

Amazing family suite with 2 bathrooms and interconnecting door to separate, this was perfect for us 3 adults! Rooms were immaculate and clean, good air con/fans, great shower and spacious. Breakfast had a variety of options and fresh fruit. The views were amazing especially the infinity pool - highly recommend! I also used the spa facilities and again was great service and a lovely ambience there to fully relax. Reception staff were always very helpful and arranging transport (note location is around 25mins from munnar town) and also had transport to cochin reasonable price of 5000rupee :) We also dined at the underground restaurant which was great food, yes maybe more expensive than some areas but still very reasonable for a 5* hotel!

Infinity pool states adult only but there were children up there - not a big deal as we mostly had a quiet time up there and fully embraced the views from day to evening! Thanks for the great stay

Visited the Panoramic getaway, for 3 nights. Exceptional experience. Starting from the check in,till check out everything was excellent. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean.The breakfast buffet was sumptuous. The in house dining options were good,but on the expensive side. The property was well maintained and the swimming pool was clean with warm water. The views from the hotel property is exceptional. The hotel is easily accessible from the main road.The staff at the dining rooms are attentive to your needs. Overall a 5 star experience in Munnar. If you want to book a stay in Munnar and are confused due to the several options available, look no further than the Panoramic getaway!

Nothing in particular. Food in the in house dining on the expensive side, but that is acceptable for a 5 star hotel.The coffee house prices could be brought down to encourage more users.

The hotel lives up to the name, the views it offers is truly stunning. There were many different places to enjoy the view, from the restaurant to the balcony and pool. Check-in was smooth, and there was hotel parking. Our room was luxurious and well stocked. Beds were comfortable, room was spacious, bathrooms were well maintained. Although the family suite is very different to other rooms, I assume the experiences would be similar.

The light control confused me quite a bit, it was a smart digital light control panel that was difficult to navigate. HOWEVER, negligible to the overall experience.
