As someone critical of hospitality experiences, I don’t say this lightly: this was one of the best we've ever had. The hotel, facilities and amenities were outstanding. The staff and service were exceptional, with meticulous attention to the smallest details. Both restaurants were excellent. We’ll definitely stay here again.

A Gracious Tribute to The Maidens Hotel, New Delhi My recent stay at Maidens Hotel was nothing short of exquisite. This splendidly preserved heritage property exceeded every expectation I hold for a historic hotel. A place where timeless elegance meets meticulous upkeep. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the extraordinarily courteous and remarkably youthful team. Their professionalism, warmth, and unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction were simply outstanding. Few establishments manage to deliver service with such genuine care and attentiveness. I remain deeply grateful for the hospitality extended to me. Every request was met with gracious efficiency, and the staff’s helpfulness never wavered. The in-house cuisine deserves special praise, it was refined, flavourful, and beautifully presented, contributing to an experience that lingers well beyond departure. This was, without doubt, not my last encounter with this property — or the Oberoi group more broadly — when I next travel to India. I leave with sincere appreciation and every intention of returning to this remarkable hotel on future visits to India.

We liked everything: The room was nicely decorated, very clean with comfortable bed (Heritage Room). The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. The welcome drink was a nice addition to this welcoming hotel. The location is perfect to explore the Old and New Delhi. The wonderful outside pool ment a welcomed refreshment after long sightseeing days. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Its breakfast buffet offers a good selection of Indian and Western food. On top you could order à la carte dishes and eggs that were included in the breakfast price. Our dinner à la carte was always delicious. To make long story short. If we ever go to Delhi again (I hope so) Maidens Hotel would be again our choice.

The Wifi connection was not good. I bought an Indian eSIM for my stay in India. This worked perfectly and therefore I didn’t rely on the hotel’s Wifi.

This was our third stay at the Maidens this year, and each time it has been amazing: we still think it is the best hotel we ever stayed at in our 40+ years of global travel, with thousands of hotel nights in 50-odd countries. We actually decided to stop over in Delhi on our way to Australia specifically to stay at the Maidens for some days, just to have the experience once again: it's that kind of really unique and special place! Right in the middle of bustling Delhi, there's this oasis of calm, with quiet gardens and mature trees, where peacocks and squirrels roam, and traffic noise is far away. The hotel was built as a luxury hotel in 1903, and been in use as such ever since. And today, 120 years later, it still magically exudes the atmosphere of that historic past. We just love coming back each time, that feeling of "coming home" we experience here and nowhere else: because the place still largely looks like it did in 1903 (the photos prove it), but it's otherwise an amazingly modern five-star hotel. And with an incredible team managing it: and that makes this place so special, and adds so much to the experience, beyond the historic element. We had another great reception when we arrived this time, with Prachi, the Hotel Manager, personally taking care of us and ensuring our stay was yet again amazing. We got our favourite room, and enjoyed every minute of our time there. The restaurant has this great variety of delicious dishes on the menu (Western, Asian, Indian), and thanks to the two chefs and their team, we loved having dinner there each night, as always. Overall and in every respect, this remains our favourite hotel in the world. It's just beautiful, and in a way you won't find anywhere else. Stay here if you can: it's a unique experience.

We would like to join all those who recommend the hotel and also those who thought that maybe it was exaggerated, so it is true. An exceptional hotel is an understatement. We have never experienced a stay and service experience like this hotel in any hotel in Israel or in the world. They upgraded our room to a luxurious suite, because we were celebrating a wedding anniversary, they decorated the room in our honor and at the reception we received a special cake in honor of the occasion. We were really surprised by this special gesture. The hotel staff preserves the British atmosphere of yesteryear and gives a feeling of both luxury and romance. The staff, without exception, and especially Ishani and Ankita who helped us especially, were kind, welcoming and give a feeling of caring and concern for the customer for every detail, even the smallest. An exceptionally beautiful quiet hotel with vintage and tasteful design. The rooms are quiet, clean, spacious, towels with a pleasant smell, a large bathroom with an extra large shower and bathtub, Clean swimming pool, warm and pleasant water just right for body temperature. Breakfast like a king, rich, varied with options to order additional dishes beyond the already rich buffet. We have no doubt that next time we come to Delhi, this will be the hotel we choose to sleep in. Booking should be proud that they market this hotel. Thank you for everything ❤️

What can I say, an amazing experience. I felt like I was in an oasis in the middle of the city, where peace and quiet reign, and every effort is made to make guests feel at home. What struck me the most was the genuine kindness, warm hospitality, and the sincere willingness to meet all my needs, from the always warm welcome, to the front desk and reception, to the restaurant. I travel a lot for work, but I’ve never encountered such thoughtful and courteous attention anywhere else! Compliments to the whole team and to Mrs. Prachi Sati, who, as the general manager of the hotel, is a true leader from whom her team clearly draws inspiration.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay at Maidens Hotel, New Delhi! From the moment we arrived at Maidens Hotel in New Delhi, we were swept away by the charm and grandeur of this stunning heritage property. The beautifully preserved architecture, paired with the serene atmosphere, set the perfect tone for what turned out to be one of the most memorable stays I've ever had. What truly made this experience exceptional was the attentiveness and warmth of the staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, every individual we encountered went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome, comfortable, and thoroughly cared for. Our room was outstanding. It was spacious, spotless, and tastefully. Further, to our delight, we were even upgraded to a better room that became the highlight of our trip. That thoughtful gesture truly made us feel special and showcased the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable, and the ambience was both peaceful and elegant. We especially loved the gorgeous pool area, which offered a refreshing retreat after a day exploring the city. The food was delicious, with every meal showcasing rich flavors and careful preparation. This hotel is a special heritage gem in Delhi, combining old-world charm with modern comforts and exceptional service. I wholeheartedly recommend Maidens Hotel to anyone visiting the city, whether you're in search of luxury, history, or simply a place where you'll be genuinely cared for. It was, without a doubt, a highlight of our journey. Special thanks to Deepika Kukreja the Front Office Manager who was lovely and very welcoming.

Nothing. It was outstanding.

We felt incredibly safe and well looked after at the Maidens hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and shown to our amazing heritage room. This was almost certainly the most luxurious hotel we've ever stayed at, and we received expert hospitality services throughout. We had a problem with the plug, and upon informing reception they had sent up an electrician to sort the issue within 10 minutes! The food was good, and the chef kindly prepared a packed breakfast for us as we were being picked up early in the morning for an excursion to the Taj Mahal. The pool area was fantastic. A true gem of tranquillity in a huge and somewhat overwhelming city! I'm so glad we booked this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone!

Stepping into Maidens Hotel in Delhi feels like stepping back in time — in all the best ways. This beautifully preserved colonial-era property offers a rare sense of tranquility and space, tucked away in the leafy Civil Lines area, far from the city’s noise but still wonderfully connected to Delhi’s major attractions. The location is ideal — peaceful and quiet, yet just a short ride to Old Delhi, Connaught Place, and other landmarks. It's the perfect base if you want to explore the city but retreat to calm at the end of the day. Rooms are generously sized and elegantly furnished, but what really stands out are the exceptionally comfortable beds and pillows — some of the best I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. After a long day navigating the sensory overload of Delhi, this level of comfort was pure bliss. The pool area is a highlight, surrounded by greenery and designed for relaxation. It’s a rare luxury in the city, and a perfect way to recharge during the heat of the day. The hotel offers great amenities, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, from modern bathrooms and excellent air conditioning to thoughtful touches that honour the building’s historic charm. We enjoyed a few meals in the bar and lounge, where the food was consistently good — well-prepared, nicely presented, and served with warm, professional hospitality. Maidens Hotel is a true escape within Delhi — elegant, calm, and impeccably run. If you’re looking for a hotel that blends heritage charm with modern comfort, in a location that offers both convenience and quiet, this is it.

Photo shoot in the lobby made it difficult to move around.

During our 12-day adventure across India, this hotel stood out as the absolute best. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an aristocratic aura, where every detail exuded elegance and sophistication. The service was impeccable—gracious, attentive, and genuinely warm. The entire property was spotlessly clean, and the restaurants delighted us with their delicious cuisine. A particularly special touch left us deeply moved: as we were traveling in honor of my 60th birthday, the hotel went above and beyond to make the occasion memorable. A beautifully arranged surprise of fresh flowers, balloons, and a delightful birthday cake awaited me, a gesture that truly touched my heart. We would like to specifically mention front office manager Deepika Kukreja, Arjan and Alful - their help in organizing our stay was priceless For those seeking luxury, refinement, and heartfelt hospitality, this hotel is an absolute must. I highly recommend it!
