Paharganj is probably one of the most noisiest, dirtiest and hectic areas in Delhi - but this hotel might be a haven in the middle of it all. I’ve stayed in some hotels in the area before and, this one is without any doubt one of the best so far. I’m quite particular with the general cleaning and facilities of a place but this one certainly checks the boxes to a certain extent. At the end of the day you just want to come back to a safe place to rest. My room needed a bit of TLC but overall it was comfortable. The staff is also very friendly and ready to help you. You might want to reach out to Owais or Manoj for tips and suggestions! Pros: Good breakfast and a variety of good dishes, great location (15/20 minutes walking from Connaught Place). Staff in general. Cons: All my showers were with tepid water and, windows/doors are not sound proof. The rooftop has great potential but it’s not being used. All meals are served in the bedroom. If I ever come back to Paharganj, I’d definitely stay in this hotel again.

Service is good but tries to get money, the manager is rude and dont respect guest. Our checkin took so long he was working with other stuffs and did not let the other staff to checkin us.

The hotel and the staff were great overall - we landed in Delhi and stayed several days. We had food at the hotel on a few occasions and we found it delicious. The rooms were clean and the staff were very kind and responsive. The in-house travel agent helped us book taxis and tuktuks - we know they offer lots of other travel services, which we didn’t use on this occasion but would definitely do so if we come back. As occidental travellers, a few things were a surprise to us: the very busy and sometimes loud location (perhaps bring earplugs?) and the bathroom (the buckets in the shower which I didn’t know how to use). But these are not negatives, just something we’re not used to in our native London :)

Staff willing to help, you have just to ask. My son forgot a jacket in a room, they found it and held it till we came back. We had several stays because we went on tours. Good tea, soluble coffee and kettle in every room, hot water . Room available when we arrived at 7 am. Cheap breakfast . Good restaurant at 150 m.

Not all the rooms have tight windows so the noise can be unpleasant in some rooms. Ask for rooms that do not face the street. You have to accept the habit of guests and staff speaking loud and slam doors. So sometimes very good nights , or not... depending on your neighbors. The proximity of the railway station means intense traffic.

Very nice hotel in Paharganj near New Delhi Railway Station. Rooms are very well managed neat and clean room and bathroom and bed was very comfortable. All the staff are very well mannered polite and friendly behavior. Over all stay was very comfortable. We will surely recommend this hotel to our friends and relatives. Thanks again to all the staff.

Room was really comfortable, the staff put a priority on cleanliness (they have a no food on the bed rule, which results in some of the cleanest sheets I’ve seen in a hotel). Close by to a popular hostel, so location is full of tourists. Water was hot, with good water pressure, so a great shower. 24 hour room service (very uncommon at this price point).

The noise is quite terrible, even for India. It’s right opposite a train station, combined with right next to a busy road, means a lot of noise till late at night. Definitely bring ear plugs. Location is a little out of the way, even though the train station is nearby, it’s still difficult to get to by foot. Also being on a busy road means taxis in are often jammed.

Hotel is very well centrally located - very close to New Delhi Railway Station and 10 minute walk to metro lines for the city and international airport line. Also a short walk over the railway to visit Old Delhi. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - they even offered for us to use a room to wash up after we had already checked out which was lovely. Reception is available 24/7 as well. The room was spacious and had a nice hot shower which isn’t always the case when travelling in India - nice comfortable bed as well. Overall I would highly recommend staying here - thanks again to the amazing staff!

The fan for the washroom/bathroom had a bad smell come through - to workaround this we just didn’t turn on the fan. The hallway outside our room was slightly echoey meaning you could hear voices at night - this was quite minor though.

Great Staff, really helpful in every aspect and very welcoming to all guests! The rooms you see in their pictures ARE the rooms you will get (unlike some other places) and they are of a lot higher standard for just a few extra dollars (well worth the little extra money). They have a travel manager who speaks english and will look after all your sightseeing and traveling if you require. They are in the process of upgrading and improving the hotel to an even higher standard (there was some renovation noise - Not enough to bother me and it would almost be complete by the time I write this) so make sure you check out the roof top when you have your morning tea/coffee, it's great looking over parts of the city, or while sipping a beer or glass of wine in the afternoon or evening. The hotel location is really central, the train station/metro is only a short stroll (5 mins) if you choose a room on the road/train side, you can see the station, you will get some traffic/train horn noise (It didn't bother me, It added to the experience). Connaught place is about 1km (15 - 20 mins, easy walking distance). Local cultural experiences and markets etc, are right outside your door! The food was great (they will make it as spicy/hot as you want, and hot is HOT). They can (in a pinch) exchange some (not all) currencies for (some) local Rupee at the reception. But, it's always best to come prepared and avoid surprises. I liked/loved everything about it and ended up staying for a total of 14 days (Delhi has lots and lots to see and experience, from the mild to the wild and it's right on your doorstep at this hotel). My Hindi was (really shocking/non existent, my mistake) So a huge thank you to Vijay and Amit, for your english and patience with me.

We were very happy with our stay at the Shri Vinayak. It is safe, clean and comfortable with good facilities. It is very close to the railway station and to the Paharganj area which is busy but very atmospheric. The travel team at the hotel arranged a car and 5 nights accommodation for the first part of our tour. This included visiting places we wouldn’t have known about had we done it ourselves. They also arranged our safaris into Ranthambore. When there was an issue with the vehicle type for one safari they bought us a train ticket as compensation. We would definitely recommend them for a tour of India.
