- Nice spacious room, we really enjoyed the place. - Clean spacious bathroom. - Nice friendly personnel, helpful with requests. - Free Airport transfer included - in our case it was a free Airport drop off instead possible - Good hotel restaurant (Vagabond restaurant), breakfast buffet was good. - Hot water in the shower (but it really needs 10min to be turned on, to get warm) available.

- Until 23:30 there was quite a loud music from the adjacent party location, thank god it stopped at 23:30. It is not the fault of the hotel itself, but it mades a little bit uncomfortable for guests. - One or two days before our stay the Hotel contacted me via Whatsapp with a generic message that I should pay the whole payment for the room in advance on a me unknown payment website to fix my reservation. I did not do that, but paid at the stay. It would be better if Hotel Ajanta would stop that practics, due to it violating the booking.com rules as well as it makes for (especially western) guests an uncomfortable feeling and gives a impression of lack of professionality.

Amazing stay, staff were the best we experienced in all of the places we stayed in India! Particularly the staff in the restaurant were particularly obliging , helpful and friendly. Also the porters were very good and anticipated our needs before we even know them. The best part was the driver Mohamed that we had for 2 days. Best driver we have ever had, nothing was too much trouble and went out of his way to make our trip to Delhi unforgettable. Location of hotel is awesome, you are really in the middle of old Delhi so a great immersion into life here.

Only a small thing that didn’t bother us but might some people. The rooms on the street are a little noisy at night if you are a light sleeper.

The room was comfortable and well-maintained. A special appreciation to Gunjan at the front desk, who was exceptionally courteous and attentive—she truly understood and responded to our needs with great efficiency. However, the only areas of concern were the delayed room service, which required multiple follow-ups, and the internet connectivity issues, which were only resolved after being escalated to the front desk on the 6th or 7th day of our stay. A heartfelt thanks to Rashid bhai at the travel desk for organizing our sightseeing tours of Delhi and Agra—both the arrangements and the drivers provided an excellent experience for my family. Also, a special mention to the elderly gentleman in the restaurant who regularly served us with warmth and dedication (regretfully, we didn’t get his name). Overall, thank you for a pleasant and memorable stay at Ajanta Hotel.

There is nothing that i dint like but yes the tea can be done better.

This is a really lovely hotel with outstanding staff who are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff go out of their way to help you if there is an issue. I can highly recommend the cafe next door. Breakfast buffet was delicious with a great choice - mostly Indian breakfast but it’s delicious. I ate most of my other meals in my six days in Delhi here and everything was fantastic, flavourful and fresh. I also booked a day trip to the Taj Mahal through this hotel and the driver was lovely - and a very safe and considerate driver. Amongst the madness that you can often find in Delhi this hotel was an oasis of calm and hospitality. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe here.

The room design is exemplary, featuring a dedicated corner for travel baggage and ample cupboard space for other belongings. To enhance organization, it would be beneficial to include additional shelves within the main cupboard for clothes. The hotel's restaurant offers a pleasant ambience and maintains a good standard of cleanliness. Furthermore, the hotel staff provides great service compared to external personnel.

It is advisable to offer a diverse selection of dinner options for guests on a Full Board (FB) or Half Board (HB) basis, rather than presenting the same menu each evening. Additionally, it is important to provide an adequate supply of water bottles daily to ensure guest comfort and hydration.

This hotel was a good choice for a solo female traveler. The neighborhood is bustling but even though I had a street facing room, the windows are thick and the noise was not bothersome. It was centrally located enough for me to walk to the New Delhi railway and metro stations and Connaught Place. The cafe had a great breakfast buffet and the service staff was very nice! They even helped to arrange an airport driver which was very helpful for my departure. They held my bags for me without any issues after checkout until my flight.

The bathroom toilet had a small leak and was a little dingy overall but the shower water was hot and had nice pressure!

Very friendly and welcoming staff, our airport pick-up worked seamlessly. Our room was spacious with a big comfortable bed, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, not only for cooling but also for warming up the room (as we were there in the winter). The room was very clean in the areas that really mattered to us (bed, towels, shower, toilet, sink etc), but it has to be said that some less obvious spots (corners, walls, doors) could have used a bit more attention. The best part about this place was the hotel restaurant - they serve delicious Indian food at very reasonable prices and are also open until quite late. Many people list the location as the biggest disadvantage in their reviews. Initially, we felt the same way and found the neighbourhood to be very noisy, crowded, run-down and just overall intimidating. But we later realised that in comparison with other parts of Delhi, esp. Old Delhi, this part of Paharganj is actually not that bad. It even gets surprisingly quiet at night!

Great price. Airport pickup is a blessing to keep you from the taxi scams. The rooms are clean the staff is on point with being helpful. A room attendant made sure he rolled by luggage to the counter for check out. I had a balcony room (it was an upgrade from what I reserved). The room was very large with 2 beds. (1 king, 1 single) so 3 can sleep easily. The shower had HOT running water (which is important after a long day of travel). It’s not too far from the airport which is also good. Breakfast was sufficient with some basics and some Indian breakfast choices. New since our last visit is. Sweets shop, located in the restaurant area. (The mango cheesecake looked amazing).

The only potential negative is the area around the hotel. It (area around the hotel) is a bit rough looking and more of a back packer type area. But I’ve stayed here in the past and can say it is really a nice hotel.

This hotel was excellent. Very clean and the rooms were even a bit fancy. We were stressed about leaving our bags here while we travelled around India. They took care of them for us for two weeks and it didn't cost a lot. The rooms were excellent and the adjoining restaurant was really good. The breakfast buffet was superb (and varied each day) and the limitless buffet coffee was the best we had in India. The staff were very professional and accomodating, their airport transfers (with 8 bags!) was flawless.

It's not that the street outside is dirty and crazy (as other people have said) but that the location is a bit boring. There's no other restaurants or cafes nearby and you need a rickshaw if you're going to New Dehli station. The Paharganj tourist strip is about 10 minutes walk away. I would however recommend going to Bikaner Sweet Store, which is nearby.

A very nice hotel located a short walk from the main train station. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and of a good standard. There was hot water. It looks more or less like the photos. We were slightly apprehensive about the accommodation in this particular part of town due to other reviews but it turns out there’s nothing to worry about. Simply India :) We would definitely stay at Hotel AJANTA again - we have actually booked another stay with them on our way back. Also, they have a good restaurant on site with plenty affordable tasty local food options.

WiFi signal could be slightly stronger.
