You might pay a bit more for a Zostel room than you could as a walk-in elsewhere in Paharganj, but you pay for an established brand because you expect a certain quality and standard of service. The rooms I had (one on arrival one on departure) were clean and nicely decorated, all the white things were white, everything worked. The beds were comfortable, the linen was crisp, the en suites especially were modern and clean. The aircon was completely effective, the fan had quiet bearings. All the staff were lovely, both the urbane receptionists and the friendly porters. I felt welcomed. The other thing they have absolutely nailed is the comms, which is such a weight off for international tourists. If you send them a Whatsapp, you will get a response. Other hotels don't do this! There are viable cheap restaurants along Arakashan road if you don't want to chance a fish dish from one of the station gate dhabas, and it's generally less hassly than Main Bazaar although still very much Paharganj.

Stayed at Zostel Delhi, and it was a solid experience. The hostel has a lively vibe with colorful interiors and common spaces that make it easy to meet fellow travelers. The rooms and dorms were clean and well-maintained, offering decent comfort for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with local tips or travel needs. The location is another plus quite central, making it convenient to explore Old Delhi, Connaught Place, and nearby markets. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay with a social atmosphere in Delhi, Zostel is definitely a good pick.

The beds could be more comfortable and 8 bed dorm is a bit congested

The rooms were quite nice. Sad that AC was not functioning but great that they had a great hospitality team who changed our room in no more than one request. The restaurant had a very limited menu which was a massive letdown as Delhi was scorching hot and we didn't want to leave the cool comfort (ended up being hungry till sunset). That is one room of improvement. Zostel is known for its edgy vibe at the rooftop, an AC room (glassed) could have further enhanced the ambience.

Restaurant should have further wide range of menu and round the clock service. Lift could have been much faster. Rooftop could be more managed with floral additions, an ac room underneath they sky.

Very friendly staff and hygienic rooms. Navin was especially helpful and guided me well through the area.

The location. It's both good and bad. Good because you get the railway station and metro very nearby. CP is very close as well. If you're willing to walk a little, it's great. But if you want a cab/auto to go at these places or anywhere else, you'll need to pay a big amount or wait for long. Autos/cabs are a little hesitant to come as there is a jam almost always due to the nearby railway station.

The people there were so nice and supportive. They really care about those who are staying there. I felt very well looked after. There was a bookshelf where there were many books that were relevant to India in many different languages that were available for the people to read. I found it very useful. They also do a free tour of the city. All you need to pay is transportation if you use any. I didn't have time to join it, but my friend said she did, and she enjoyed it a lot. There was a water filling station where you could fill your bottle or just take a drink. I found it very convenient. I took some time to find the place because I originally was on the other side of the New Delhi station. Once I found my way to cross the station, it was very easy to find the place. If lost, just ask people where the Ara Kashan road is, and they will give you a general direction.

Zostel is a very reliable, clean and well located hostel in Delhi (and other spots in India). I stayed with them 10 years ago and after arriving in Delhi this time and experiencing dodgy hotels, which weren't safe to stay (with lots of fake reviews on google and booking.com!!!) I was so happy to discover Zostel again on our midnight search for a new place to stay. They helped us out with a room in the middle of the night and when returning back to Delhi from Agra a couple of days later we decided to stay there again instead of the meany terrible or highly overpriced places around the airport. It's an easy access to the train station and the organised cap from the hotel to the airport was on time, even at 3am in the morning. They were very accommodating and the rooms comfortable, a great hot shower and a clean space. If you are looking for a hassle free stay in Delhi, do yourself a favour and stay at Zostel.

We didn't have any issues, nothing we didn't like or stood out in our short stays.

The staff were so lovely and welcoming, had great recommendations for food and helped with arranging transport to the metro at night. The room was quiet from the road noise. The rooftop bar was really nice, would be better if the fans worked.

Our private room shared a corridor with a dorm and the doors slammed when someone was waking in and out, which was often the first night. There were no windows, but that was okay as it kept out the noise and mosquitoes

Staying at Zostel Delhi was awesome! The place had a cool vibe - cozy yet modern, with spotless facilities and comfy rooms. The common areas were lively with fellow travelers, perfect for mingling and making new pals. The staff were super friendly and knew all the local hotspots, hooking us up with awesome recommendations. Will miss their hospitality. Well, nothing that I didn’t like about the property. It was great experience for my 1 week of stay.

I really enjoyed the unique culture at Zostel. Unlike other places where people just check in, go to their rooms, and check out, Zostel offers a different experience. Guests can play games like Ludo, chess, poker, and 8-ball pool, or dance and chat with strangers. If you form a group of four, they even guide you on a tour around Delhi, where you only pay for the tuk-tuk and food. I was particularly impressed with the staff's helpfulness and willingness to assist. Whenever I had an issue, they were ready to help, whether it was getting my watch repaired, finding nearby laundry services, or getting a trim. And yeah, there is a microwave oven and refrigerator in zostel where u can keep any food you ordered or brought from home. You keep it cool and can heat it when you want to eat it.. The best part was the late-night talks on the rooftop. You wouldn't realize it's 4 in the morning until you remember you need to sleep.

If you compare it with some other places, the facilities and cleanliness might feel like it's lacking a little bit. But the good culture,safety, and cleaning schedule eyeshadows it. It would have been better if dorms also had lockable keys to enter. And if the cafe had a little more variety of food.
