I’ve stayed in Delhi many times and have always struggled to find somewhere that actually looks like the photos. Most hotels use fake photos or glam the rooms up just for the photos but this place is 100% genuine. My room was spotless clean. The bathroom was spotless not a spec of mould, grime or dust and the bathroom came with shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, body wash, toothbrush and toothpaste. The bed was very comfortable. Everything in the room works from wifi to AC. The hotel is located on quite street and close to great eating options and close to some great markets. Karol Bagh is a nice neighbourhood, no one is trying to hustle you and it’s clean and slow paced. The staff are great and go out of there way to help you. The owner is a great guy who also goes out of his way to make you feel like you’re at home. Zero complaints and I recommend this place especially to foreigners who want to stay in a nice chill part of Delhi that is close to everything. This is now my go to stay in Delhi

I was extremely impressed with Wood Castle. We arrived late in the evening on our first night, and the staff were ready for us, served us tea, and made us feel very comfortable. The room exceeded all my expectations, it was beautiful, clean, and had all the utilities one could need. The bed was huge! The staff was incredibly polite and helpful throughout our stay, we felt very welcome and safe. The best thing, however, was the location. The street was very nice and quiet. It felt very safe with kids and uni students hanging out outside. Karol Bagh, in general, is a very nice area, with a big market that isn't as overwhelming as other markets in Delhi. There are both restaurants and bars nearby as well. The area and the hotel felt very peaceful to come back to after long days of sightseeing in Delhi. Huge thank you to Wood Castle and their staff!!

The only thing I could comment on is the shower, which was a bit rusty, but it worked just fine. Still rating 10/10

The staff and owner of Wood Castle will make you feel welcomed in Delhi as soon as you arrive! The rooms are very comfortable and clean with an adorable "wood castle" aesthetic. The hotel is located in Karol Bagh in a quiet spot, far enough off the main road to not hear the incessant honking of motorists. Every morning I woke up to delicious chai and homemade parathas for breakfast. I had a terrible travel experience on my way to India and I was so grateful to meet the owner and share a beer to recover as soon as I arrived. I ended up booking the same hotel again on my last stop in India before flying back to the US. Perfect, adorable, heritage hotel for a welcoming and comfortable stay in Delhi!

Excellent staff and management. Homely atmosphere. Food was excellent. We were received with a warm welcome at 6am in the morning. Of course, we had to book for an extra day because it was high season.

We took a room on the first floor, facing the street. It was a bit noisy in the early morning when hawkers shout out loud through their mics to sell their wares. Otherwise, the street is fairly quiet, and it is hard to believe that the place is located about 500 metres from the Karol Bag metro and market.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful, complimentary tea and biscuits, comfortable and clean room and nice shower.

Our stay was left on a bad note as we asked the owner/manager to arrange a taxi for us to the airport the day before. We then checked this again with another employee the night before who confirmed the price. The next morning, the same employees then added 100R extra to the price they had both originally promised and pressured us into paying it. Very sneaky and unfair so beware when booking taxis through them.

I had stayed at Wood Castle in Jan 2023 and at that time room service was not available at the property. That was my only grievance at that time. Thankfully, this time room service was available. Since I was travelling alone, and it was not always possible for me to go out for meals, this was a huge factor for my stay. The staff are extremely polite. Check in was smooth and hassle free. Kitchen staff were always polite and smiling. I was worried about safety, but never for a moment did I feel even remotely unsafe. I was unwell during my entire stay and one of the days I was down with severe diarrhea. Upon my request, the staff very promptly bought me medicine and later asked about my health. Food was delicious. Tea, specially was very good. The hotel is located at a residential area so feels safe and secure. Area is barricaded at night for extra safety. Metro station is 3-4 minutes walking. Cabs are easily available. I had a very good experience and would highly recommend staying here.

Area is barricaded at night, so if you have an early morning flight and have to leave at dark, cabs may not come till the hotel. You will have to walk with your luggage till the main road, which is 1-2 minutes walking. The switch for the geyser in my room was so high in the bathroom, that I had to stand on top of the commode and switch it on and off. A bit unsafe, specially when alone.

Very friendly owner who kindly arranged an airport pick-up for us and offered us a free beer on check in when it was so hot outside! comfortable room and area is easy for tuk-tuk to find when using Uber. It took us a long time to find a reputable hotel for Delhi and this is the one 😆 We would definitely stay here again!

Just a small thing to note, we were asked to transfer money before arrival otherwise our booking would be cancelled. However we just said we will pay when we arrived and it was all fine.

Wood Castle is an exceptional hotel to stay in. I would recommend anyone staying in Delhi to book here, yes it is that good. I was made to feel so welcome by the owners, manager and staff. Mr Kamal, Mr Singh and Khushal were the perfect hosts. Their hospitality is second to none, on a couple of evenings they invited me for food and drinks with them in the comfortable downstairs area and we talked, laughed and i had a very enjoyable experience. The room and hotel is very clean, very comfortable and is located in a quiet street, so you will always get a good night's sleep. The area around the hotel is also good, with the main shops in Karol Bagh just a 10-15 minutes walk away. I travel around a lot and believe me, you cannot go wrong with the Wood Castle if you are in Delhi.

Absolutely nothing to dislike.

The room was very clean and comfortable (very nice beds!) and the bathroom was also superb. We found the location great and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave us plenty of advice. Altogether we had a lovely stay!

The room was a bit humid but with the aircon it was ok after a few minutes. It would be nice to have somewhere to refill drinking water to avoid waisting more plastic.
