Our 3rd time staying at the Greenview..... and once again exceeded our expectations. The hotel is so conveniently located with many attractions within a walking distance and the mighty Ganges just a stone throw away from the hotel. The rooms at the hotel are a good size.. comfortable and very well kept and maintained. The highlight of our trip this time was the restaurant and the ever so friendly and welcoming staff of the F&B Team in the restaurant upstairs. They serve the yummiest food... their pizzas were so so good .... but the service of the friendly staff kept us going back to eat there rather than going to one of the many other eateries in the area. Solan and Anil made us the yummiest mocktails and fresh lime sodas ..... all with a warm and welcoming smile ..... Sachin, Mohit and the ever smiling Mahesh were just always so happy to serve and look after us each time we went up to eat .... they were always at hand to also offer advice and recommendations as well as information about local sites etc. The very hands on GM... a super friendly person, also maintained a constant presence and was ever so approachable and always around to ensure our every comfort and that we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I would most definitely recommend the hotel and it's superb restaurant to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming and comfortable stay in Rishikesh. As for us ...... we will most definitely be back for round 4 !!!!!

Absolutely nothing to not like

I particularly appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff, their sincere friendliness and real smiles! This is what makes Green View Hotel special. They always made every effort to ensure that our long stay was pleasant, offering excellent support even in providing the taxi that took us around a bit and at the end of the stay, brought us back to Delhi. As for the Italian restaurant on the 4th floor and its large terrace, every time we ate there the food was delicious and the service provided by the smiling waiters delighted us. Even the guys in charge of tidying up the rooms were very helpful and did their job professionally. The beads were really confortable as well the cushions, since I am quite picky... Water and coffee + tea were in the room with a kettle. I can only warmly recommend this hotel also for its central location, away from the noise and a stone's throw from the Parmarth Niketan ashram where it is possible to attend yoga/meditation courses. A big thank you to the whole crew.

In truth, this is not attributable to the hotel staff: the only annoyance was the rudeness of a couple of customers and very noisy children who did not respect the silence in places designated for rest.

Great hotel! Beautiful to the eye: from the entrance lobby all the way till your bathroom sink. My room had a huge window to the mountain, most comfortable bed, soft pillows, thick towels, clean and lasting furniture, mirror in both the bedroom and bathroom, a perfect hot water stream and a well designed and maintained bathroom (with a luxurious view into the bedroom through a transparent half wall). Clean, quiet and centrally located in the sacred area. Huge restaurant and spa which I will have to return again to enjoy. And last but not least: Excellent service!! Hotel staff arranged for me special services I required as I arrived sick and this is deeply appreciated. Much gratitude for the healing time I had at the Green View Hotel.

I had a delightful stay at Green Hotel, located conveniently near Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh. The serene ambiance and eco-friendly practices of the hotel made my visit truly memorable. The highlight of my trip was the Parmarth Niketan Ganga Aarti, which was just a short walk away and offered an unforgettable spiritual experience. The staff, including Ritesh, Rachit, and Rahul, were incredibly courteous and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. Their hospitality added a personal touch to my stay. A special mention goes to the General Manager, Vijay, whose leadership was evident in the seamless service and well-maintained property. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it a perfect retreat after exploring nearby attractions like Ram Jhula. Overall, I highly recommend Green Hotel for its excellent location, warm staff, and commitment to sustainability. Looking forward to visiting again!

Nice spacious room, comfortable bed, very good location, decent restaurant upstairs, helpful staff.

Very bad internet connection in room 309, connects only if u stand at the doors. Also I was asked to make a prepayment of 30%, which I did to the account provided, but at the checkout they said that they did not receive the money, so I had to pay that again, which I find very disappointing, and no refund received up until now, 2 weeks since checkout.

The rooftop restaurant is extremely good! the menu has options from all over the world! from porridge to israeli breakfast and Indian parathas, all were there. The owner is very customer centric, he is always there taking questions/suggestions. This place is also very near the ganga river, the paramarth ashram. The reception was able to quickly arrange a cab to Mussourie when we asked for and also at a reasonable price.

The room heater was not good, it needed to be changed and the electric socket for the heater needed an electrician to fix it. The hot water would take a lot of time to come to the tap, so a lot of cold water was being wasted. The room rate I felt was a little on the higher side.

It seems to be one of the few big hotels on this side of the Ganges. Parmarth Niketan which is walkable from this hotel is a treat! The ashram has evening aarti, a canteen with healthy options and daily ashram programs. Its great to stay here to savor the ashrams on this side of town. The restaurant on site was a perk when we arrived weary after travels. Decently clean, no mold in bathroom. Overhead shower was quite bad with bad flow and weird pressure.

First impressions were not good. We entered a room that smelled strongly of feet and stains on bed. Staff replaced sheets on request and we aired out the room. Rishikesh is very cold in winter. The rooms in this hotel are quite big and can feel cold. Hotel provided a room heater which took some of the edge off.

Overall experience was very good. it is one of the hotel among 3or 4 hotels of Green hotels. Rooms are spacious, clean and amenities are good. Has a good view from the window. But it is not the view of the river Ganga or the main mountain range. Location is very prime and correctly shown in the map.

Only problem is the parking. It is written that they have free parking but where is it. It is almost 200-300 m back side. This is a point what need to be kept in mind. At night after parking at that location you have to come down.

It was a good size room and at good location.

There was this particular lady who called to confirm on our booking while we were driving. We had booked through booking.com and was not asked for prepayment. While on our way to the hotel - (while driving), she asked to pay in advance for confirmation. We said, we were driving and that we will do later .... She was extremely rude and said...' then we can't hold booking for you' and I quote " Aapko payment karna hai toh Karo warna cancel kar dungi" The rest of the staff were all nice... She, in particular, was pathetic and needs to learn some basic manners. Of course we didn't let her odd behaviour affect our trip!

A Delightful Stay at The Green Tree Hotel I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Green Tree Hotel. The ambience was truly beautiful and created a very relaxing atmosphere. They even offered Ayurvedic massages and spa services (at an additional cost) which sounded very tempting! The dining hall was both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal. The hotel itself felt very safe and secure, making it a great choice for families. An added bonus was the hotel's close proximity to Parmanand Ashram, allowing for an easy walk to attend the evening arti. The staff at The Green Tree Hotel were exceptional. They were consistently polite, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay for me and my family. In particular, I truly appreciated their attentiveness when my mother required a wheelchair - their assistance was invaluable. Overall, I would highly recommend The Green Tree Hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting.
