Me and my husband stayed in one of the best five star resorts in Kerala, mountain shadows wayanad. The view from our villa was awesome I think that there is no other resort in Kerala has such a romantic view and the most luxury resort in Kerala. The candle light dinner and float breakfast was soo amazing we experiencing it for the first time in our life. All the staff was friendly especially our naturalist guid Krian was so amazing he knew the each and every history of wayanad and the mistry of banasura hills. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mountain Shadows Resorts, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendliest and most attentive staff who went out of their way to ensure my experience was flawless. Every interaction, whether with housekeeping, the concierge, or restaurant staff, was warm and professional. Genuine hospitality at its finest. The resort itself is a paradise. The views are absolutely breathtaking, with panoramic sights of mountains with bansura lake, making it the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The accommodations were equally impressive—luxurious, spacious, and designed with an eye for comfort and style. Every detail was thoughtfully curated. It truly felt like a home away from home, but with the added perk of being in one of the most beautiful locations imaginable. The amenities were top-notch as well. It’s clear that the resort staff takes immense pride in maintaining a high standard of excellence across every face of the property.

We just completed a 4 night stay at Mountain Shadows and loved everything about the place. The property is beautiful and the view of the lake and the mountains is breathtaking! The amenities are top notch, there’s something for everyone - kids soft play area, game room, outdoor basketball court, football and cricket enclosure, cycling, etc. The staff is warm, down to earth and super helpful all across. The highlight of our trip was the amazing vegan food that the restaurant made especially for my husband and me. Chef Soumya deserves a special mention here. He would ask for our preference before every meal and would amaze us with delicious vegan food at every meal. He went out of his way to ensure that we get a variety of vegan options, including vegan jalebis and vegan motichoor laddoo! Chef Richi and Sourav at the restaurant also took really good care of us. We’d definitely recommend Mountain Shadows for a relaxed and happy family vacation, and we plan to come back some day with our family and friends.

We liked everything! Staff was welcoming and friendly. The view over Banasura lake with its many islands is so beautiful! In the nature walks we saw and learned much about birds, plants and insects. There is the possibilty to go to yoga sessions in the morning and afternoon. The hotel celebrated Christmas Eve with a splendid party with great food and live music! There is also the possibility of going on a trekking tour in the Banasura hills. The hotel organizes lunch package and transport. The green mountains are incredibly beautiful! We will definitely consider to come back to this special nature place!

The heart welcoming comfort and services the resort is offering along with the breathtaking view. We loved the ambience, the location, the view the resort provides, the food and last but not the the least the way all the resort staff handles their guest especially manu varghese, aneesh, sanjay, and kiran. Such staffs are an asset to the resort and one of our major reason to plan our future visits to the resort.

A very unique hotel owing to its location and the beautiful view of the mountains and islands within the Lake. Rooms were great. We were given a free upgrade to a family lake villa , Thanks to Sonia who helped us get this. The Staff was helpful and interactive especially during the High tea at the Tea shop. It has great facilities and clean!

The location is accessible through a trail and no road in the last 3 kms stretch. We wish, the Staff would have told us to park our car down and come in a transport arranged by a hotel. But we came to know that once we reached. If you don't have a SUV it's surely a rough ride and can spoil your car shockers. The food can still be better in terms of taste and also I was expecting some local authentic Kerala food. We has insects on our bed at night although our doors were closed all the time. The staff did help in changing it though.

Beautiful location and well planned 50 villas with landscaped gardens. Friendly staff. Nice cultural programs in the evening.

Too long to check in and check out at the reception even though many staff there. Not only they needed each person’s passport, but also their OCI ( visa) documents. Could have informed us regarding this before arrival. Food not great and no other options near by.

The view from the resort is breathtaking! And if you take the villas with infinity pool, you wouldn't want to get out of the resort! The sunrise and sunset views from the room are extremely beautiful!!! The food was great! Do not expect any fancy cuisines, they had simple vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes and everything tasted great! Their FnB manager Mr. Jithin is extremely supportive and customer centric. And their naturist Vishnu is a great guide!

There was some minor concern during settling the bill, but that's okay.

Superb location food service activities Just an everall perfect experience and highly recommend this property The last 3 km rocky approach road makes one reluctant to step out fr site seeing in Wayanad but otherwise it is indeed amazing in every way

The price point is on the steeper side and approach road last few kms is uncomfortable for older persons possibly

Delicious spread, looked good tasted one or two, and was delicious. The view from the Restaurant was awesome. Hospitality is excellent. The chef personally checked if we were okay with the taste. Gave a few suggestions.

The morning view of the sunrise behind the mountains, welcoming sounds of the chirping birds, and mesmerizing views from every nook and corner. Cycling through the banks of the Lake. We could laze around the banks of the lake looking at the calm serene waters and the view of the mountains, islands, and the Dam. A Fantasy Island away from the hustle and bustle of city to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate.
