I liked several things about the hotel. First of all, the staff were super friendly, helpful and sorted out anything immediately. I liked the room and the facilities, the terrace view of the Ganges is amazing. The vegetarian food we had for lunch there was delicious. Location is great if you are interested in being close to the Ganges river and explore that part of the city. My room was big and comfortable. Cleanliness level is quite good, the double bed was very comfortable for me and the bathroom was clean, tidy and easy to use despite its small size. Most of all I liked the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, as well as the area surrounding the hotel since I am personally very interested in history and culture. Overall, I had a memorable experience and if I come back to Varanasi, I am definitely staying there again!!

The location of the hotel is very near to Assi Ghat. We can reach the Ganges by walking in 2 minutes. The staff was very helpful, they always answered all my questions with a smile on their face. The room was comfy, the air-conditioned worked exceptionally and the hotel also had a generator if power went out. From the terrace, you can view the Ganges. It was a very pleasant stay, I stayed for 8 days and I enjoyed every movement. The hotel staff arranged a Taxi to pick me up and drop me from the airport. I will recommend the hotel if you are planning a visit to Varanasi.

I liked my single room, clean and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and all I needed for my stay. Managers and staff were always helpful and professional. All the facilities provided are very good, wifi, laundry, etc. I enjoyed the fresh food and the traditional atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel is in an excellent position in Varanasi, near Assi Ghat and easy to reach both from the airport and the train station.

I cannot find something I didn't like!

The location is at Assi Ghat, near the site where the Gangarti ceremony takes place. The food was full of flavor, and the staff were very friendly. The room size were adequate enough for 3 people and the geyser in the bathroom was a blessing!

The menu didn't feature authentic U.P. cuisine and was more geared towards multi-cuisine dishes for outsiders. We stayed in a west-facing room, which had no view. It's better to request an east-facing room, as it offers a partial view of the Ganges River.

A. Delivery of food takes long time so plan accordingly B. Old people will have trouble in climbing stairs up to 3 level as there is no lift C. I recently stayed at Hotel Temple on Ganges in Varanasi and had a pleasant experience. I booked an Economy Triple Bed Non-View Room and was allocated room number 11 on the ground floor, just opposite the reception. This proved beneficial for my senior-citizen parents, making accessibility hassle-free. The rooftop offers a captivating view of the Ganga, and you can choose to dine there or at the ground floor dining room. Each floor features a common courtyard, some with Ganga views and others overlooking the front side of the hotel. The hotel's proximity to Assi Ghat (a 3-4 minute walk) makes it ideal for witnessing the Subah-e-Banaras morning Ganga Aarti at 5:30 am. The lively surroundings with various cafes and eateries, the Alakananda Cruise departure point, and a permanent Mela Ground add to the appeal. My room included a double bed, a single bed, TV, a small table with chairs, hanging space, racks, a mirror, electric kettle, tea bags, AC, room heater, free wifi and a geyser. The well-maintained washroom and daily supply of three mineral water bottles added to the comfort. The hotel's diverse menu caters to international guests, offering options like pancakes, muesli, porridge, custard, etc. The staff exhibited warm and hospitable service, addressing all our needs promptly. We easily reached the hotel from the railway station via a reserved auto for ₹250. In conclusion, Hotel Temple on Ganges offers a pleasant stay with a convenient location, making it a recommendable choice for anyone visiting Varanasi.

While Dashashwamedh Ghat and Kashi Vishwanath Temple are around 2.8 kms away, reliable auto services are readily available for approximately ₹250-260. My room, despite being a bit cramped, offered excellent value. While the hotel's food is commendable, nearby eateries provide alternatives at potentially lower prices. In conclusion, Hotel Temple on Ganges offers a pleasant stay with a convenient location, making it a recommendable choice for anyone visiting Varanasi.

All people associated with this hotel made our stay so comfortable that it felt like a home away from home. The view of mother Ganges both from the terrace and our room was absolutely amazing. Room was spacious and comfortable. Assi ghat is 2 mins walk from the hotel. This made it possible for us to witness the devine event of Subah-e-Banaras, the morning arati at Assi ghat, a mesmerizing experience that nobody should miss out. Mr Madan Mohan Pandey ji is a great host. Dilip ji and all other staffs were jovial and helpful. Next time I will visit Varanasi, I am definitely going to stay at this hotel.

The location, you walk downstairs walk 2 blocks and you are in Assi Gath (where they hold the sunrise and sunset ceremonies). So the location of this hotel is prime..! The staff was also great, especially the kitchen and cleaning crew. Great location if you are into spiritual retreat or yoga stuff. Management was a bit stand-offish, but the rest of the crew was very amicable and accommodating.

The only thing I didn’t like about it is that my booking read “city view” and “balcony”, and I didn’t get either of those two things. Also, beachside of Diwali, the driver never arrived at the airport to pick me up. Make sure you read carefully what room you are choosing because not all the rooms have city view.

This suggestion is for the local authorities and not for the hotel. There is a waterbody that flows into Assi river that is adjacent to the hotel. If that is cleaned up and maintained, then the beauty of this place will become 10 times more.

Good hotel right next to the Assi Ghat, you can have a walk from here to the other Ghats without problems. Young Owner was very kind and helpful to us, also leasing us waiting in the restaurant lobby as the flight was late in the evening. The room has all facilities: fridge, AC, fan, good shower and enough space. The hotel also has a terrace from which you can see Ganga and a parking quite big. They provide you water upon arrival and the personnel is really nice.
