Best place to stay in varanasi! I have been travelling from last 9 months but this hostel was really special. From there hospitality to there staff. Hostel is very clean and there food is amazing. Thank u nidhi didi for the delicious food u cook. Yash and vikesh is very nice at front desk. Shiva,sunil and ajeet are fantastic houskeepers. The vibe of common area will trap u forever.. At last i want to say if any one is travelling to varanasi this is the place to stay...

Absolutely Nothing

The property is really close to assi ghat and the overall vibe of the place is so vibrant. The staff is really very polite and they remember the names of the guests and greet them with warmth. The bathrooms were absolutely spotless even when 14 people are sharing one room, which goes to show that the staff is always on top of things and also is a good comparison of what kind of a crowd and what kind of people you can expect here. The cafe and the common area are such a vibe and is great place to hang out and meet new people Honestly, this was the best hostel experiences i have had🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

The staff were very friendly. I also felt very safe throughout my stay.😍 I have met Yash, Sunil, Nidhi, Vikesh and Other Staff 😍. The place was clean, and the bed was really comfortable. The rooms were always tidy and the Staff keep it clean. It's an amazing location and a great place to meet and network with other people. The common area is amazing with Music, and the overall vibe was positive. Nidhi's Food is amazing.😍 The location is easily accessible to get around.

Some guests didn’t keep the washrooms clean, which meant the staff had to clean repeatedly, which was unfair to them. It would be great if guests were reminded to keep shared spaces clean, especially the washrooms, to reduce pressure on the staff and keep the place nicer for everyone.

Very nice vibe and close to many of the popular spots. Short walk to Assi ghat where we experienced the ceremonies morning and evening. Very very helpful and kind staff, Yash helped us with train tickets and knowledge about the area and India in general. Sunil cheated at Uno ;) and made a great vibe on the rooftop. Restaurant is convenient and if you want something a bit more western a few cafes are in the area (sparrow and Marc’s cafe) otherwise the bread omelette is also a winner

We stayed in a dorm double bed. The bed was nice with a little shelf for our stuff, but most of the nights people woke us up by coming in late and leaving the door open at night, turning in the light, talking on their phone etc.

I stayed at Mustache Hostel, Varanasi, for 3 days, and it was one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had. The place is super clean, well-maintained, and has a lively yet homely vibe that makes you instantly comfortable. A big shoutout to Yash and Sohail bhai from the staff—they were always cheerful, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. From guiding me with local tips to making the stay fun and smooth, they really stood out. Also, a special thanks to Mayank bhai, the owner, who ensures the hostel maintains high standards of hospitality. His welcoming nature and personal touch in managing the place make it feel less like a hostel and more like a home away from home. The rooftop café/lounge is fantastic—great food, relaxed vibe, and the perfect spot to meet other travelers or just enjoy the view after exploring the city. The location is also excellent, with easy access to the ghats and major attractions. Overall, Mustache Hostel, Varanasi, exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city—I’ll definitely be coming back!

The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with local tips and travel plans.
