1. The nostalgia of revisiting the hotel after 4 years and they have updated it a lot. 2. The superb location and the view of Ganges is to die for from the roof specially when it’s raining. 3. Excellent courteous and helpful staff. Mr. Sashi was waiting for my late check in around 11.40 PM. Someone helped me with my printouts and even rushed to give me the receipt which I was forgetting on the desk while leaving. 4. The cook specially prepared veg sauté as per my request. It was wonderful to taste.

1. Nagaland room needs good paint on the walls. 2. Bathroom lacks hand towel hanger and wall hanger for bath towel. 3. Mosquito net of the bathroom window needs to be replaced. 4. I felt the room was overpriced where I have stayed.

A beautiful old palace full of character and paintings, crowned with a rooftop terrace that we absolutely loved. Perfect position on the bustling and vibrant Assi Ghat. Cool marble floors and breathtaking views of the Ganges and it’s far shore.

Nothing, it was perfect for myself and friend

Almost everything. We got a room without any view. Looking into a wall. But we were very happy about that because it was very quiet. I don't know if you can sleep at all in the rooms with a view. The hotel is situated very near The Ganga But in a heavily trafficked road and it is too a gathering point for the auto rickshaw If you like this it 's a topnotch hotel. We would stay there again if coming back to Varanasi.

The food in the Top Roof restaurant And the breakfast could improve. The breakfast room were stocked in a small room downstairs Hot and stinking food.

Food was good, location is walkable to assi ghat and ganga arti. The book store at assi ghat is recommended. Staff were attentive.

no elevators, front desk can be more prepared with local travel arrangements to temples and such.

Location and heritage character of the property.

Not a friendly property for disabled or injured people. Steps to be climbed for accessing the rooms and restaurants. There is no elevator. It’s understood that lift which is under installation.

This property is very close to assi ghat and you can enjoy Ganga aarati from here. Staff is very supportive and they guide you best.

As it is heritage property, lift is not available now but work is in progress so can be available in few months.

Didn’t take breakfast. The main bonus point of this hotel is its location!

The restaurant is not so well kempt and not inviting. Though I had sandwiches and cold coffee , it was delicious!

Palace on ganges is a great experience and one I would recommend to anyone. Great rooms, food and service. I'll go there again if I'm in this neck of the woods.

A meal was put on my bill that we hadn't had. Just a mistake I'm sure but that's the only negative I can come up with.

The location of the hotel, the rooftop restaurant and friendliness of all the hotel staff.

The air conditioner in the room was too old and noisy. For a highly priced hotel, these things need to be replaced.
