This was our second time staying at Spaces Bali and it did not disappoint. The hotel is beautiful and ideal for a relaxing, quiet stay by the pool. Liese (one of the owners) was very helpful during our stay and guided us towards travelling to a make your own chocolate experience, which was pretty fun and delicious! I would also like to mention that all four members of our group noticed how happy and attentive each of their staff members were. We all enjoyed our chefs singing as they whipped up our delicious breakfast. I would definitely recommend a stay for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay.

Unfortunately, the drive from the airport can be a little heavy with traffic, perhaps because the nearby Canggu is very overwhelmed with tourists. However, once you get there it is easy to travel around by scooter/car.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Right from the start the service was excellent. We were met at the airport by our lovely driver Ricky, who gave us all kinds of insights and recommendations. The place itself is stunning! The communal pool is everything you could hope for and it’s easy to spend hours lounging about. Don’t forget to apply the sunscreen like we did! The breakfasts were delicious and a great start to the day. The room itself was spacious, beds very comfortable, great aircon with a fan also, the private pool is the perfect place to relax and cool down if/when needed and the bathroom is very nice too. The staff were nothing short of amazing. Always so friendly and attentive. The owners made sure to come and introduce themselves, making us feel welcome and also offered many insights and recommendations…not least to try their on site massages - which were easily the best we’ve had! Highly recommend! The owners were also incredibly sweet and accommodating, going above and beyond to help me while I was unwell. The area itself is pretty quiet which was just what we were after. However the beach is a short walk(<5mins) and you can also walk to Canggu along the beach within 15mins. They have scooter rentals on site also if you fancy. Cannot recommend this place enough and would definitely stay here again!

Johnny and Lisa (owners) were friendly and sent a very comprehensive list of places to visit, restaurants and basically anything you could need. Specifically the call out for massages in your room were great. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Special call out to Gusti. I was looking for Balinese coins to bring home as souvenirs for the kids. He advised most places don’t use them or only 500’s. He then came back the next day with a small roll of 100’s and 500’s. It was super sweet and I basically had to force him to take paper money in exchange (with some extra) for his kindness. They were able to accommodate us early when my wife wasn’t feeling well and we arrived before our ETA which was already early. They had a “Happy Honeymoon” welcome on our bed. Beautiful pool and view. Private pool was nice to relax in. AC worked great. Convenient breakfast option. Very close walk to the beach and food options Security at the gate through the evening was a nice touch Additional drinks without and with alcohol available. I really liked the Kombucha. I thought the honor system was a nice touch. If you are looking for a place away from the chaos of the city, but very close to dabble in the activities this will be perfect. Everything you need within walking distance. City centre is a 1-2 mile walk along the beach or 15-20 minute taxi/motor bike

Bathroom has open air spots where the windows don’t close, so we had some mosquitos in there. We would shower and then finish getting ready in the room. Make sure to keep door between room and bathroom closed at all times to help with this.

Spaces is such a lovely place. The accommodation is modern with beautiful rustic touches and lovely natural bathroom products, which you can also buy. The bed was very comfortable and there are lovely robes and sarongs provided of the most beautiful fabric, which you can also buy. The food was great and the pool is a highlight. It's all just beautiful. The beach is at the end of a relatively quiet road and there are restaurants nearby and a great gelati shop, Simone. Canggu is a 20min beach walk away but check the tides (Johnny did that for us thankfully)

We stayed at The Spaces Bali for 6 nights and had such a great time. Everything was really nice—from the delicious breakfast to the super chill pool area where we loved hanging out. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The area is a bit tucked away, so it feels quiet and peaceful—maybe a tiny downside if you're looking to be right in the middle of the action—but it still has everything you need close by. We rented a bike and explored Canggu and the surrounding areas, which was super convenient. The room was clean, the bed was really comfy, and the whole place had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a laid-back spot in Bali!

It was overall a great experience to stay at Spaces. Thanks to the whole team, you made our stay pleasant and comfortable from the first to the last moment of our time at spaces (including Nyepi - silent day in Bali). My partner was quite sick and we got so much support and help. At any moment we felt the care and compassion. The accommodation itself is lovely and the garden with pool a great place to enjoy some time! Loved also the furry company 😋 the food is very tasty and another great thing to mention is the drinkable filtered tap water. I can highly recommend staying here and we will definitely come again!

Spaces is a completely different world than all Canggu. It’s peaceful, warm, and welcoming — everything I was looking for. Even though it’s just a 12-minute bike ride from all the trendy spots in Canggu, it feels miles away from the chaos. And honestly, you don’t even need to go far—amazing cafes, restaurants, yoga, and pilates studios are just a 5-minute walk away. Plus, Seseh Beach—a quiet, black-sand escape with barely any tourists—is only 6 minutes on foot. But what truly makes this place special is the heart behind it. The owners, Liese and Jonny, have created more than just a stay—they’ve built a community. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by them and their wonderful team. Their welcome kit is the most thoughtful and helpful I’ve ever received, packed with handpicked recommendations that made my stay even better. The space itself is peaceful and quiet, which is rare on an island that’s always under construction. Every little detail—from the decor to the atmosphere—feels intentional, full of care and love. And the best part? Their seven adorable rescue dogs, who are the sweetest addition to this already warm and homey place. My room was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. After a tough sunrise hike to Mount Batur, I asked the hosts if they could arrange a massage, and within no time, they set me up with an amazing masseuse. It was exactly what my sore body needed! I didn’t just find a place to stay—I found a place I’d love to return to and the place that inspires me. If you’re coming to Bali and want a peaceful retreat with soul, warmth, and attention to detail, Spaces is the place to be. I can’t wait to share it with all my friends!

A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home We truly loved our stay at Spaces Bali — it felt like stumbling upon a secret haven tucked away in nature. The open design of the hotel is refreshing and beautifully calming. One of our favorite spots was the open dining area that overlooks the serene pool and stretches out to a vast green landscape beyond — absolutely stunning! From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the place was evident. Despite arriving in the late morning, we were grateful that early check-in was possible. While waiting, we settled into the cozy café overlooking the pool and instantly felt relaxed and at home. The sweet dogs with their wagging tails came by to greet us, adding even more joy to our arrival. We stayed in Stone 7, a room that felt homely, thoughtful, and full of heart. Every detail in the room’s design felt intentional — it gave us a deep sense of comfort and peace, like being embraced by the space itself. There's something magical about how Spaces blends natural beauty with heartfelt hospitality. It made us feel free, grounded, and joyful all at once. The owners, Liese and Johny, are genuinely warm, friendly, and hospitable, and their passion for the space shines through. The staff were also lovely and attentive, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious with a nice variety of choices — and the tea and coffee were excellent too! There are also cafes, and a chinese restaurant just outside the hotel. And just a short stroll away — the black sand beach. It felt almost private, a stretch of shimmering sand kissed by blue skies, drifting white clouds, and the singing and dancing of the waves. We were lost in its embrace. Be there. If you're looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and feel truly cared for, Spaces Bali is it. We must come back.

A beautiful place to rest, set amongst lush gardens and a stones throw to the beach. So glad I found Spaces - literally 20 minutes before I arrived at the reception. I'd never been to this part of the island before and had very short notice to find something. Walking distance to great coffee spots and many eateries. I appreciate all the sweet touches including drinkable tap water, yoga mats and blocks, insect repellent to name a few. I'd definitely stay again. Bonus if you're a dog lover. Thank you Liese, Jonny and the staff, you've created a gem.

The location was brilliant, close to main canggu but quiet and a 2 minute drive to a beautiful sunset spot on the beach. The staff were friendly, accommodating & attentive. We loved the cafe’s, restaurants & shops nearby that were all high quality but very well priced. We spent more time around the local area of Seseh then we spent going into canggu.

It’s honestly hard to find anything we did not like but if I was really trying then I could say I would have liked for our towels to be replaced daily as part of the daily clean.
