Absolutely gorgeous grounds, pool area and views of the beachfront (perfect for advanced surfers). Great breakfast menu and food although a tad expensive. Staff were so lovely and attentive.

Very secluded location - nothing to do other than spend time by the pool or surf, couldn’t walk to get any snacks really (no fruit available). Menu is great but inflexible (would not swap out items, only add them on at an additional charge). Rooms are very dark which meant a rainy day inside felt a bit depressing. Even though the price was premium for any room, they couldn’t even provide me a chair for the balcony as they’re only for the ‘expensive’ poolside or beachfront rooms.

This place is fantastic super friendly people who will go out of their way to help you. The breakfast was great with lots of choices and available till 5 pm. Dinner is fantastic with local and International dishes. Restaurant staff under supervision from Mr Pande are super friendly,polite and helpful. For us there was no need to go anywhere else to eat. The rooms are great the grounds are immaculate with a good size pool with a kiddie section. Refrigerator in the room get complimentary restocked every day and there are complimentary toiletries. Tv has Netflix,Amazon Prime, HBO, Youtube and different Englisch channels. Night security with a 24 hours front desk. Paid airport service which you can book as well for day trips. There is a extensive library with books in different languages.

There is nothing to dislike

This resort was the highlight of our trip! We were staying 20 minutes away exploring the area came across it. The staff at the reception were lovely enough to show us around and we booked a 5 day stay on the spot. Our first stay was so amazing, we booked another 3 days at the end of our 6 week trip. The restaurant is amazing, the spa is divine, the pool is perfect (especially the small pool area for kids), the surf is literally right on your doorstep, the views are spectacular but most of all the staff are the loveliest and most accommodating people you will ever meet. We have found our new favorite spot in Bali!

The hotel looks and positions itself as a surf hotel, but for all the guests there are only 4 places for boards. I mean 1 rack with 4 places. This is catastrophically little! Obviously, a surf hotel needs places for boards at every step, so that guests can conveniently put them everywhere. There are places for boards near the more expensive houses, but there is a concrete floor. It is scary to put a board there, it can crack. Obviously, mats or some kind of underlay are needed there

This is our second time staying in Umadewi. Our 1st visit was in August 2019. The property is well kept. The surroundings are calm and beautiful. We had the ocean view room with an amazing view of the surfers and sunset too. One of the reasons we chose to return is because of their restaurant. You can order anything and everything is delicious from drinks to dessert. Now they have all-day breakfast from 7am to 5pm, which is great! The entire staff team is really good. Very warm hospitality. We are happy that now they have a Spa too.

We loved our stay and will definitely be back. The room was beautiful and sparking clean. We enjoyed the restaurant not only for the wonderful breakfast menu but also for the extensive variety on the lunch/dinner menu; local, Asian, Italian and American cuisines. Everything we tried was delicious. Best of all, the staff was amazing. Hendra and all of the kind people at the front desk took care of us and always called us by name. The massage therapists were so talented. Ilu and Armaa and everybody at Koko’s always greeted us with smiles and made meals there a bright spot in our day. Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was great

The location is unbeatable if you’re a surfer! My partner was absolutely frothing that he could check the surf right out the front. The room and bathroom was clean, spacious and the bed was large and comfy. We had the pool view room as the ocean view rooms were all booked. The restaurant is fully open and I enjoyed my days doing a bit of work from there while watching the surf. The staff were also exceptional and so so friendly! We felt so at home there.

The only thing I can think of is to have someone come around the pool to offer food or drinks. We’d always have to walk to the restaurant to order, when we probably would have ordered more if we didn’t have to do that.

Fantastic place, beautiful accommodation with clean comfortable rooms, comfortable beds, delightful pool and surrounding area, surfbreak right out front, very helpful and friendly staff, great massages, exceptional food, and good value for money. This place was a highlight of our trip to Bali.

Maybe a little more storage for surfboards and gear drying rack would have been useful, but that's really the only thing I was found wanting for.

The hotel was the best I have visited in my life. I recommend everyone to get to know this hotel and the staff. Since I am very enthusiastic, leads a detailed description: We arrived at the hotel at night. Even before the stay, the hotel was very good at helping me with questions and suggestions online. The staff at the reception is very friendly and for our stay we got free towels for the pool and a voucher for a massage. The rooms are very clean and are cleaned every day. We always had fresh towels and a very clean room. The beds are very comfortable. The whole hotel complex is very green, there are palm trees everywhere and the garden is maintained daily. I liked the restaurant the best. The price-performance ratio is especially good. Every day a very fresh and large breakfast awaits you, which is served by a very professional staff. The coffee and juices are highly recommended. Since I myself work in the catering industry, I can say with certainty that both the food and the staff are very good. We ate every day in the restaurant and in the evening enjoyed the beautiful view of the sea and incredibly good cocktails. A special thanks goes out to Pande, who runs the restaurant with professionalism and friendliness. We would also like to thank Sintha for the friendly service. In this hotel, every staff member asks how you are and they all know you by name. Very attentive. From the gardener to the cleaning lady, everyone is very friendly and professional. The area is perfect for surfers. I started surfing on vacation and had a lot of fun. The beach is very beautiful. Right next to the hotel is a surf school, which I highly recommend. Both the hotel and the area is an insider tip. It was the best hotel! We will come again. Thank you

This was a lovely property right on the ocean at Medewi. Great if you're into surfing. If you're not a surfer, there's nothing to do so perhaps Balian is better if you're looking for Yoga and other activities. Nice food, beautiful staff. I had a couple of good massages at the hotel spa. The air-con and Wi-Fi works well and the sounds of the crashing waves block out any noise going on at night.

I did find the property expensive for what it is particularly as Medewi is just starting to develop and it's not busy yet with tourists. Side note: The massage tables are quite uncomfortable when you are face down, as the face pillow goes all the way around instead of with an opening at the neck like other tables, so when you're being pressed on in the upper back and neck area, the massage table almost chokes you.
