We stayed at Hotel Pondok Sari Kuta for 13 nights. We had a tremendous stay, and we were well looked after by all the staff, special mention to Made the security guy and Siti at Reception. The hotel is located in a more local area of Kuta, about 20 mins walk from Waterbom Area of Jl.Kartiki Plaza, although a Gojek will only cost about $2.50 AUD and are very easily available, the longest we waited was 10 mins. The rooms are kept immaculately clean by the staff, the pool again is cleaned every evening and very welcome. It is a quieter hotel, used a lot by people/families staying for one night on arrival before travelling on elsewhere on the island or last night before early morning flights, due to its relative close proximity to the airport..... they are missing out as it's worth a much longer stay! The free hot and cold water dispenser available is a bonus, although there is a kettle in the room. No bar in the hotel, although you can buy bottles of Bintang, Cruisers, soft drinks, etc. at reception at all hours of the day. A basic breakfast only is available, consisting of some sliced watermelon, orange juice, selve serve coffee or tea, and simple omelette, hash brown, with two small chicken sausages and 2 slices of toast and jam, for only $4.00 AUD. There is a 24hr Circle K and an Alfamart about a 5 min walk from the hotel for supplies. A great budget accommodation I would highly recommend for Familys and older couples after a quiet, safe and restful location.

Super convenient for a one night stay after arriving at the airport late. The staff were great and helped us carry our bags to our first floor room. We had a family room. It was perfect for us, very clean and with comfortable beds. Breakfast was ok (eggs, toast, hash brown and sausage). We didn’t go in the swimming pool but it looked clean and inviting.

While the location was easy to get to by taxi from the airport, it wasn’t close to the centre of Kuta or anything really. We walked down the road to find an ATM and a coffee shop but there wasn’t much nearby apart from a busy road.

Very close to airport after a late flight. I was greeted by a lovely security guard at reception who carried my luggage for me and showed me my room. Upon entering, I was surprised to see a beautiful display left for me celebrating my birthday - which was so heart warming after a long day of packing and travelling. Then the security guard surprised me with a cake, candles and all!! Made my night. What a lovely, thoughtful gesture. The staff here are great.

My only dislike was the very loud buzzing aircon from someone else’s room. I had to wear earplugs and noise cancelling earphones to sleep - but I’m very sensitive. Not everyone would notice that.

The room is clean with a comfortable bed. It’s spacious enough to easily move around. The location is walking distance from convenience shops, restaurants and banks. Other guests must not be liking to be nested within residential area but I do love being part of the local community. Going out of the hotel door and walked on the street and see the day to day activities of the local is a good experience.

The morning breakfast could have variety for guests who are staying more than one night. Don’t like to eat same thing for 3 days straight!

We needed a place for a night before flying off early next morning. For that purpose, Pondok Sari Kuta suited our needs and we did not make use of the pool or eat breakfast. The staff was very helpful and helped us order food to be delivered to the hotel. There was also an area with tables that we could eat our dinner or work, etc.

We had an early morning flight to catch and was told in earlier communication that we can be provided with breakfast boxes. When I enquired at checkin, I was told by a woman (owner?) that it would only be bread and jam, no fruits. When we checked out in the morning, there was nothing prepared for us.

We recently spent several days at Pondok Sari Hotel in Bali, and it was an exceptional experience for our family. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. My three girls absolutely loved it in special the pool. The hotel’s amenities were good, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, reflecting the serene Balinese culture. The hospitality we received was beyond our expectations. Every member of the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, always greeting us with a warm smile. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we miss it already. Overall, our stay at Pondok Sari Hotel was wonderful, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly place the not cost a fortune. We look forward to returning in the future!

Good value for money. Room is clean and good size. Clean pool. Good internet connection. Quiet place. Good location, near the airport and on the main street there are a lot of establishments. In the corner of the main road is a small store selling one of best durian ice cream on a stick - a bonus for me.

One of the double room upstairs had a clogged floor drainage (first day). But I moved to a bigger family room downstairs which is great. I mentioned the clogged drainage to the manager so hopefully they will do something about it. I hope they upgrade to internet TV and has Netflix on it. The place is safe but to get there you will have to go through small alleys/streets.

Great value overnight stay for airport access, staff were friendly, room clean and the pool was a little old but lovely area for sun baking or laps. The hotel has a nice atmosphere with fairy lights in the garden. 15 mins to the airport off peak.

As it's a local area the food/shopping/spa options in walking distance are limited, many places don't have English menus, probably the best option is the best western down the road. I like local warungs but I didn't want to risk a stomach issue on the plane as these were very local with no tourists.

This place is a lush oasis in Kuta very close to the airport. Perfect first stop for a family arriving in Bali. The rooms are a good size, comfy bed, AC, fridge, kettle, etc. We spent 5 nights here and explored the touristy areas of the island as a start (Kuta beach, Jimbaran beach, Uluwatu, GWK). The swimming pool is great, half in the shadows so it can be used all day long. Free water fountain with hot and cold drinking water. The washing machine which is available for free was also great. There is a shop close to the hotel and Grab also delivered great food. We came back here for one more night before flying back home at the end of our trip.

I cannot give an exceptional as the standards are below the European average in terms of cleanliness of the bathroom and the standard of the equipment in the room. Use should expect something like this when coming to this part of the world, nothing major. The breakfast was the same every morning. The warehouse next door was be noisy.

Very nice hotel for the money and well kept. Rooms are clean and in good condition. Staff was friendly and attentive. Great value for the price.

Shower wasn’t hot enough a few days but they came to adjust it and it worked better. Also they had to come adjust the AC because it wasn’t that cold one of the days we stayed there. Location is a bit far from the beach with traffic.
