This is a beautiful little hotel, locally owned and run, very kind people. They allowed for early bag drop and late pick-up upon checking out. We had a lovely experience staying in one of the rooms facing the beautiful swimming pool. So much care has been given to making the garden beautiful. I would recommend if you would want to stay in the area for good hospitality at an affordable price.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly (I think the negative reviews about this are unfounded). The included breakfast was tasty and there were several options. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and although it was a bit pricey it was also very tasty. The location is right next to the beach but it's not a beach for swimming, they organise boat trips from there to see dolphins if that's what you're into. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, the shower good and hot, the bed comfy and the air con was good. The garden of the hotel is delightful, it's really well maintained with lots of lovely trees and flowers. The pool looked incredibly inviting although regrettably we didn't go in. They can also arrange motorbike rental and onward transport which was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Not really a negative but worth a mention - when it rains heavily a torrent of water floods the road outside. We had to wade through water that was thigh deep on me (I am short) for about 200 metres. I had to go barefoot for fear of losing my flip flops! We mostly found it funny and a bit of an adventure.

Beautiful pool! Trees and flowering plant’s everywhere. Nice restaurant. Very helpful staff. A short walk to the beach where you can arrange a dolphin watching trip with a local boat operator. We saw many dolphin. They will also take you snorkeling for a reasonable price.

The bathroom sink drained directly onto the floor. Our room was very small but it was one of the lesser expensive rooms. Lots of dogs roaming around inside the hotel grounds. One night a dog sitting in a chair at the pool was barking at us as we were walking to our room. The manager really should address the situation with the dogs.

It was like Paradies, the stuff was very friendly and helpful. The Rooms were spacious and very clean. Every Room has the possibility to sit outside on the terrace or balcony facing the pool. Very green and relaxing atmosphere.

Very beautiful and well maintained Balinese style hotel with lots of lovely details. Super friendly and super helpful staff. We even got a free upgrade in a better room. Overall good value for money. Delicious breakfast with quite a few (also vegetarian) options. Possible to buy lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant or in one of the nice small restaurants across the street. Option to get massage and laundry done in the hotel or to rent scooter. Good location close to the sea, a supermarket and restaurants.

The rooms were clean and well maintained but you could see that they were not the newest. Overall the rooms were clairaudient. Bathroom smelled wet most of the time. Massage and laundry a bit pricey compared to options across the street.

We liked everything about this hotel. The staff were wonderful and so very friendly,our room was clean , food at the restaurant was very, very nice.There are also a few other nice places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Oh, and the garden is so beautiful. The gardener was on duty all day doing an amazing job. We will definitely stay again next time we are in lovina.

It says on booking.com it's beachfront. It is close to a beach but it is an extremely dirty and unkempt area. You are far from most things but can hire a scooter from hotel to get around. Our TV didn't work.

What an amazing experience at the hotel suma. This family run hotel was exceptional. We arrived to a lovely welcome from the manager and her family ( which were very helpful/ honest and kind throughout our stay). As we arrived they booked us in for a private dolphin excursion at a discount rate as it was my birthday- we hired a bike which was in great condition. As we waiting for our room to be ready ( as we arrived early) we had lunch at the hotel which was delicious ( we chose thechicken curry and the beef rendang). As we finished our meal, they checked us into our room early and surprised me with homemade apple pie ( which again was delicious) and a welcome note. The room was nicely air conditioned and the bed was comfortable. The next morning we had an altercation with the man who took us on our dolphin excursion and the manager helped with translation and helped us resolved the issue through professionalism. She then organised our transport to our next hotel as we were travelling around Bali- if we hadn’t already booked another hotel prior to arriving at hotel suma we would’ve definitely stayed there for our last night in Bali. We also went for a late night swim and the pool was lovely.

Room AC wasn’t the best but we never raised this with staff so maybe it was just our room.

The rooms were spacious, and clean. The meals at the restaurant were good and very well priced. Clean pool (30 degrees) than can be used all the time - very nice to cool down after an long day expedition. Nice center garden to relax. It is 50 meters away from the sea, although there is not a beach there. More stones and fisher boats. All in all the value for money in this hotel is exceptional !! Very happy that we found this place.

When booking, I was searching for a sea-view room. Also confirmed, there was no sea view room (first floor) left when we arrived. Our ground floor room did not have windows to the outside, only to the (lovely) garden. This always annoys me, as it was a search criteria. However, as written above, the level of comfort in this garden and pool was outstanding for the price we paid and I will happily return.

lovely spacious and elegant rooms. The enormous balcony looking over the inside garden and pool was great! The whole property was really full of authentic charm, we loved it and felt at home. So close to the beach. The pool (natural colour) surrounded by the buildings and lots of green,is a great place to hang out. great colonial feel to the whole property. thank you to the very friendly staff for this great stay

A little bit of maintenance here and there to freshen up the place might be an idea but that's all
