We stayed at this resort for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The resort is very well kept and the staff could not be more friendly, welcoming or helpful (special mention to Catur on reception and her excellent grasp of English) The resort is situated part way up the side of a hill, above the Aling-Aling waterfalls. As such the views from the main pool, restaurant and yoga shala are really beautiful. Our room was spacious with a large double bed and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was of the half inside / half outside style with a huge bath overlooking the valley. We were also able to enjoy our own private pool and patio area situated underneath our room. The resort has spa facilities offering a good range of treatments. I tried the 90 minute deep tissue massage which was blissful. The on-site restaurant also deserves to be mentioned as the food was delicious and very reasonably priced and the staff (especially Erika and Andre) were so friendly and attentive.

There wasn’t anything about this resort that we did not like, but it should be mentioned that as the property is built on the side of a hill, there are a lot of stairs to climb to get from some of the rooms to the restaurant / main pool or to the reception area. A car / scooter is also needed to get to Lovina.

During our stay at Maha Hills, we had an extraordinary experience in the mountains, surrounded by rice fields and other plantations. Our villa featured a pool right next to a waterfall — a true delight both day and night (the sound gently rocks you to sleep, like rainwater). The bedroom was spacious and impeccably clean, with a high-quality bathroom including both a shower and bathtub. Everything feels natural, and even the many steps leading up to the restaurant — which offers a breathtaking panoramic view — were a pleasure. The staff were wonderful and truly engaging. We had many meaningful conversations and shared smiles that warmed our hearts. We can only recommend Maha Hills and its team to anyone looking to enjoy a stay in Bali, far from the crowds and busy areas. Thank you for this beautiful stay — we hope to return one day.

We had a pleasant stay at Maha Hills Resort! Thank you all the staffs for the wonderful hospitality, especially Ardi and Dayu :) We were there for our birthday celebration. The staff prepared decorations in our room and even surprised us with a dessert and a candle! That was so sweet, and we really appreciate it. We also loved the tour to Aling Aling Waterfalls, which was included in our room fare. We did cliff jumping and slid down waterfalls—it was amazing! The resort is so close to nature, and we had a great time enjoying it. It was a pity that our stay was too short to experience all the activities. Till next time!

Transportation time may be longer, as the resort is located on a hill and is somewhat remote from the city centre.

One of the most wonderful places we’ve stayed on our many many years of travelling to over 70 countries. The staff are all so lovely - from the reception to the waiting staff to the lady who led our morning meditation on the fabulous raised platform. The views from the restaurant and upper rooms are out of this world - miles and miles of countryside to the sea beyond. I wish I lived closer - we’d be back in a heartbeat. Go for the jacuzzi suite and enjoy the balcony, private pool and - unbelievably - sunrise from bed! Oh and as if that wasn’t enough the breakfast is just incredible - I had dragon fruit smoothie bowl, fresh made green juice, poached eggs on avocado toast, mint tea and fruit - lots of choice and the dinner menu was lovely as well. I really could go on and on. Just come and see for yourself! It’s well worth the drive from the airport - which is right up and over the hills and breathtaking

The room was beautiful, clean, and had all the things I needed during my stay. The staff is super friendly and kind, and made my stay very especial and memorable!! I had a small issue with my room and Wahyuda didn't hesitate to help me. He went above and beyong to make sure I had the best possible stay. Also, the food in the restaurant is really delicious! During my dinners, I loved to talk to Dedi and Andre, who work there. Lastly, thanks also to Catur for the warm welcome to the hotel, and all the assistance

Music in the restaurant was out of context … we don’t want to hear mainstream or American pop music in the incredible mountain resort, some local and accurate music very relaxing and soft would be perfect to it.

Waking up in the middle of a jungle, surrounded by lush green hills, felt like stepping into a dream. The view from my villa – with a stream flowing just beside it – was simply breathtaking. It’s the kind of place where nature and design blend perfectly. Everything felt peaceful, private, and deeply connected to the land. What really stood out was the energy of the people. Every single team member had this warm, genuine vibe – like they actually cared. Their kindness was effortless, not forced. It felt like being truly looked after. And the food? Wow. Easily one of the best breakfasts I’ve had anywhere in the world – not just tasty, but made with love and fresh, local ingredients. You could tell the chef puts heart into every meal. It’s a place that grounds you. Where you stop scrolling and start noticing. The air, the sounds, the light – everything invites you to slow down and feel. Honestly, it’s more than just a hotel – it’s an experience I’d repeat in a heartbeat.
